Anal Sex Concern

First of all, I tried to post this in the Powder Room, but I got an error message. I'm not shy, so I really don't care who responds.

I used search and didn't really find an answer. After RNY, I've heard there can be bowel issues.

Would any of these issues cause problems for anal sex? I'm not worried so much about just the act, but I'm wondering if things there get volatile so that if he comes there, would it trigger an issue?

This is not something we do regularly, but once in a while it's a nice way to spice things up. I'm hoping my new plumbing won't take that away.

As far as people's sexual preferences if you don't have a good answer here then don't reply. I can see the concern in this question. My wife is a four-year degree Psychology major with an emphasis in abnormal sexuality. This is not considered abnormal anymore.

All you can do is wait and see... I had the sleeve so no changes to my bowel situation however when he ejaculates in there it usually for me acts as a enema. Always has... that's just me though.

Thank you. I went to a support group meeting last week and a post op lady there said everything down there is different and used the word volitile. She told us it would be wise to have extra clothes handy at work and such! I didn't want to ask this in a live meeting with 35 people but it did come to mind.

I didn't know if someone would say "I never had trouble before, but oh gosh now yeah, definitely use an enema after surgery before anal! This one time...." I'd rather be prepared with the right information than have an uncomfortable sitaution to deal with.

I searched this forum and Google before asking. All I found was someone who asked about anal with sleeve which I didn't think was the same since they don't have the rerouting like RNY. Oh, and some links to "brunette anal RNY" porn which I didn't check out. Lol. I did find one person asking my same question on another WLS forum, but she got one reply which was that anal sex is never ok.

I expected to maybe be poked fun of for asking but I didn't expect snark. Thanks for taking me seriously.

It hasn't for me in the past, but this is definitely what I was wondering about. Thanks for your reply.

I don't see why it would honestly.. I've had 2 inches taken off my colon and haven't had an issue.

I could be wrong but I bet that your question would have been taken in a different light had a homosexual man asked the question. As much as I hate to point someone into a situation that you may not be comfortable with you might want search men's homosexual forums for the term "rny" and see what comes up.

@@Who'sThere I'm sure there are a few members who know the answer to your question or want to know the answer to your question - but are hesitant to respond. There's an LGBT Sleevers forum - is there one for RNY that you could either ask in that forum or PM one of the members? Not that this is only a LGBT issue - but you may have more luck getting a response.

I hadn't thought of looking at a gay thread. Thanks.

P.S. to my note above.

If you're going to go from rectum to vagina, peel off the condom first.

If you insist on not using condoms, at least never go from rectum to vagina without a good penis wash first.

Thank you for the concern and prudent advice.

Well thanks for having the guts to ask the question. I'm glad there is a place to ask it, and I think you got some quality responses. Just remind your guy, lots of lube, take your time, or you will only do it once.

Thanks. We do it already on occasion. I just wanted to know if we will get to continue to enjoy it. And yes, he's very gentle with me. He wouldn't want to hurt me for anything.
