  4. I run a,very prominent residential treatment center. I see many patients become compulsive with alcohol after surgery...seems to be common. pork chop express comment above is spot on.

  6. Yes. Water..sometimes crystal lite What is your Protein target?Between 70-80 grams Hense the Protein shake.
  7. Still trying to figure this out myself. Sleeved September 13th. Breakfast-hard boiled egg. Lunch -1.5 oz. Chicken, lettuce, 2 teaspoon salsa, snack- hard boiled egg. Dinner - chili 1/2 cup. Snack 8 oz protein drink. I just figured out through my Fitness Pal that this is only about 600 calories therefore I think I should be eating more I have lost a lot of weight but find myself scared to increase my food intake therefore I would consider myself struggling with trying to figure it out
  8. Thank you....285 to 231....I feel great. I learned that even with surgery it's still a game of mental gymnastics.

Yes I have had significant back issues throughout the first month to month and a half of my surgery I think it is due to the fact that we have been cut through our abdominal wall and muscles I find that I frequently sit with a heating pad. Sleeved September 13th I have read that we have to be careful that we are not miss diagnosing the back pain as it is also a symptom of kidney stones so make sure you were getting your water intake

I weigh in about once all week however after reading some of the replies above I may move to once a month I am starting to come at peace with the idea that it will come off when it comes off I have lost significant amount of weight I am down 53 pounds since surgery September 13th however I know one of my downfalls will be freaking out when the scale and it will go out from time to time hang in there keep focused and always remember that you are 10 steps ahead of where you were prior to surgery

  16. Unless you are a doctor I would not buy medical equiptment. I have sleep apnea and CPAP machines need calibrated based on a sleep study. You may do more ham than good "cutting corners"

  20. I am almost 2 months post surgery. My NUT has me on three small meals per day. This is not cutting it... I started to snack a little. Sugar free jello. I read almonds are good. How ofton and how much almonds would you recommend. Thoughts on three small meals?
  21. Bring a back scratcher to the hospital....pain meds make you itch...bending to scratch is painful...I had my family bring mine to the hospital and was sooo grateful.
  22. Don't give up now....I know it sux but you won't regret it ...just think...you will lose tons of weight before next summer....
