  1. I know someone out there must know the answer to this question about life, the universe, and everything! Why are "grocery hauls" so popular on Youtube????? Please... someone answer this. I just don't "get it". Why would anyone want to know what I'm buying at Costco/Walmart/Sams Club/Amazon?????? Why would you want a video tour of my refrigerator???? Or is knowing the answer to this question one of those, "if I told you, we'd have to kill you!" type answers?

  3. Hi there. I have disabling chronic low back pain with pain radiating into both legs. I have been prescribed many narcotics and different combinations of the meds trying to find a medication plan that works for the pain while minimizing side effects. I was prescribed methadone 5mg twice a day in addition to my other pain medicines. Since starting the methadone I can barely keep my eyes open. When I am awake I doze off constantly no matter what I am doing. I have dozed off during lunch, in the middle of a conversation, taking a shower, etc. Has anyone else used methadone and have you had this kind of fatigue? Did

Ever since my surgery I have been short tempered. I've always been mild natured and it took a lot to make me angry. Now I seem to get angry all the time, go overboard in my reactions, talk and say things I don't mean and all of this leads to extreme guilt and emotional pain. Counselor says I need to give myself a break as my body is in such a state of flux, but its easier said then done.

Hi all, My name is Samantha and I am from Connecticut. I officially start my pre-op diet tomorrow and then go in for the sleeve surgery on the 21st which so happens to be my 21st birthday as well!! woohoo, anyways. My mom has convinced me to start a blog to keep track of my progress and since there are not too many people my age who are either getting the surgery or really want to come out and talk about it. I was wondering if there were any young 20 something year old who either keep blogs or video diaries of their stories and wanted to share so I can take a read before, during and after my journey? If you are interested in taking a read for yourself...here is a lin…

I'm a little nervous because I have read countless forums where women have reported gaining weight and not being able to keep off the weight with the Mirena iud. My question for you is do you have a mirena? And if so have you noticed it is harder to lose or maintain weight with it?

I can't find the ladies only area, so sorry guys - look away My surgery is tomorrow. My period looks like it's coming on time, tomorrow most likely. Will I be allowed to wear a tampon during surgery? Will I be able to tend to it post-op (meaning, will I physically be able to reach down or will it hurt my incisions?) it will probably not be full flow tomorrow so that's a blessing. TIA ladies

The weather report this morning was possibly 10 inches of snow in the city. I was out and about much of the day and around 5ish, I wandered into the grocery store for a couple of things and it looked like they were giving away the food. Lines were out the door and I knew it had to be related to the weather so I picked up my tuna and salad fixings and went home to see what was going on. Blizzard warning and 24-36 inches of snow expected from Central Jersey on East. My admin called our group to tell us the Senior Director has said that we should work from home tomorrow and Tuesday. I'm figuring I'll be working from home on Wednesday as well if this is as bad as they a…

I went to a yoga class for the first time today. It was their easiest class (called Restorative) at Yoga By Degrees. My knees were cracking loudly, and there were some easy poses I still couldn't do, but for the most part, I tried all of them as best I could. I won't lie. I was embarrassed at first and even after my 100 pound loss so far, I was the biggest person in the class, but the instructor was so kind and attentive. She also had dozens of positive messages during the class that really spoke to me. I think I'll go back and see where this takes me. Namaste!

Get that tattoo of Jim Morrison and/or Elmo you've always wanted? Try on naughty lingerie? Try on your wife's naughty lingerie? Run a marathon? Become a vegan? Hitchhike across the country? Learn to rollerblade? Curious minds want to know. I'm looking into that naughty lingerie thing. I mean, it's Spandex and that has to be good for keeping things up snug and in place, right?

My favorite gift I received for Christmas this year is a pair of earrings my daughter chose from a Greek festival she attended at college. We had gone to another Greek festival together earlier this last summer, and really liked the jewelry. This gift is special to me for the memory of that day. My favorite gifts I gave were harlequin mask ornaments from my trip to Venice this year. I give matching ornaments to my two best friends every year, and even though we are miles apart, we have a part of each other on our Christmas tree each year. How about you?

According to a new yahoo article; The body stores the excess Protein or carbs in a person's diet in form of fat, specifically, as triglyceride moleclues, which consist of just three kinds of atoms: carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. In order to "burn" fat these triglycerides must break up into building blocks, which happens in a process known as oxidation. And the chemical process of burning that fat will produce carbon dioxide and Water, Therefore 84 percent of the fat that is lost turns into carbon dioxide and leaves the body through the lungs the balance is water and, well you know how we eliminate water. I just found this to be interesting is all... You can read…

Some of you here my have heard about a series of shootings in north central West Virginia today. One of them was quite near my house. The first I heard about it was when I received an automated phone call from the county board of education, stating that all schools in the county were on lock down due to an active shooter in the community, and that the students and staff were safe. My son is a junior at one of the local high schools. My son had an appointment to get his flu shot after school, and I seriously considered not taking him. Students were allowed to leave school at the usual time, and I met my son at the health center where his pediatrician is located. There were…
