I was sleeved on 3/23 so I'm on soft foods now. This morning I ate a yogurt but I still felt hunger pains. Shouldn't I be full after eating that? I'm also very tired all the time absolutely no energy at all. This has to get better! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

This I believe puts pressure on my back and legs. I am suffering from depression at the moment as this is a constant battle with my weight. I never want to leave the house as I don't have clothes to fit or feel good about myself ????. I am in the beginning of my new life journey. I have attended a seminar and am waiting for both my psych and surgeon appointments. Since I have decided to do this, I feel like my weight and appearance are getting worse and don't know how my view of myself changed so drastically in a matter of a month. I am just so ready for the change! On top of that, I have a great friend who I have been friends with for 15 years. She is "my person". She is also overweight however has no desire for surgical options. I completely understand that and know that it is a very personal decision. Unfortunately, I feel guilty because she is sad that I am going to be changing. She keeps asking …

How much exercise were you able to do around week 2. Yesterday was 12 days post op and I hit the track to try to do 2-3 miles of walking. After 1 1/2 miles I couldn't walk anymore. My leg muscles hurt so bad!! Prior to surgery I could do 2 miles and now it just feels so tiring. Felt so bad that I couldn't push myself to at least the 2 mile mark. How did you do 2 weeks in? I haven't been to my local bariatric office for two years, but decided to tuck my tail and go back considering I've gained 30 lbs since I was there last. The nurse took the saline out of my band to make sure I had all 3 cc in my band that we had when I last saw her and she was only able to get 1 1/2 cc, then she had me stand to see if it was positional....she only got two total. SMH. She's trying to figure out if my band is leaking or if she miscalculated last time I was there. I really hope that she didn't take proper notes, I'll be devastated if my band is broken.

  15. Hello All, I am looking for insight about gastric sleeve after having a lapband. I had my lapband surgery in March 2008 and lost 95 pounds over a two year period of time. My lapband began to fail in 2012, meaning fills did make me feel full and there were side effects of having fill that was too tight that impacted the digestion of food. After gaining 85 pounds back and after years of after struggling with weight maintenance, fills and “unfills”, I chose to have the band removed in Dec. 2015 thinking that I would be able to maintain on my own. WRONG ANSWER! Simply stated, I thought that if my BP, cholesterol, and glucose level were in a normal range, then maybe God i…

Wouldn't you know it? I have been steadily losing for about two months (I had lap band revised to RNY in July) and I plateaued at 200.0 last week!! Now I'm bouncing between 201-202. Sigh. I know I'm not supposed to weigh myself every day, but I was really looking forward to 199. I'm down 74 right now. I've got 41 more to reach my goal of 160. Alright, pity party over. Thanks for listening.

Hi! I had my gastric sleeve done on Tuesday and today was tough! I've been craving solid foods and I feel hungry. I thought that the removal of the hunger hormone (gherlin) was suppose to end that feeling of hunger or craving. I also had a hiatal hernia that got fixed while having the sleeve done. I guess I feel confused and a bit worried that I'm not going to lose weight or stretch my stomach out because I'm feeling hungry. My doctor told me to drink a liter of liquids to avoid dehydration, but it's been difficult to drink that much because I feel restriction. I had the lap band done back in 2010 and had it removed in 2015 because it was a complete nightmare and did no…

My surgery is scheduled for April 14. I felt great leading up to this. But as soon as so got the date, I started having doubts. I've heard from many people that I'm not heavy enough for surgery. But my stats would disagree 5'9 270. But I also weight train. Even my cardiologist asked if I was completely sure that I wanted to do this, because of my general muscle tone. I carry most of my weight in my massive mid section. I'm all belly. Have any guys in my forum been at my weight and height range and had the surgery. I also have HBP, and sleep apnea. Over the years my weight has shot up to 300, and got as low as 225. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm still only getting maybe 500 calories a day maybe more depending on the day. Can anyone tell me their story about feeling as if they can eat more then or basically whatever I want. 35. I got my lapband in July 2008 when I was 30. I started out like a champion the weight came off at a nice steady pace, I lost 80 lbs in a year and my skin tightened as I went along. I was so proud of myself. I even had a baby 27 months after surgery and lost my baby weight immediately. After having my gallbladder out in January 2012, the weight started coming back on fairly rapidly. I had gained back 30 lbs by the summer of 2013 when I bought my house. As of this morning, according to the scale, I have gained back 36 lbs since surgery. I lost my will power when I started gaining weight in 2012. But I then began to realize at 350 pounds, I may not grow old at all! I talked with my doc last November, and started the dieticians mtgs. My last compliance checks are finally done.
