I have to do the 6 months supervised diet. I too am trying to lose as much as I can prior to surgery. I started eating better on 01/01/16 and have lost a total of 27lbs. Surgery will likely be in the fall. I would like to be under 300lbs. Dr says since my BMI is so high the more I lose before the less I have to lose after.
