After seeing my sister have the sleeve. I researched and came to the conclusion this surgery is for me. Unlike waiting 6 months, I only had to wait 3 months. Dealing with Anxiety I was very nervous operation date January 17, 2017. The first day I was relieved that I groggy but awake because of the anesthesia. Second day walking, pain meds was something I looked forward to. I was tired and couldn't get any fluids down. Third day, ER visit chest pain, arm pain, back pain, gas pain and throat hurt. All test came back negative. No blood clots. Dehydrated had to have 3 bags of IV fluids. At this point I asked myself why did I do this? After talking to my surgeon and getting mo…

So I spent my one month post op in the ER. I was having serious issues with vomiting after I ate or drank anything. I left work and went to ER. They gave me fluids and something to relax my esophagus and to stop the vomiting. After get that in I felt so much better. So now I am going to take my time and ease into eating. Sw263 cw235. I was sleeved on 11/28/16, and am down 34lbs. I had a b12 shot the week before surgery, then the week after and the beginning of this month. I have one more in February, but it doesn't seem to be helping. I take all my Vitamins, and eat meat with high Protein. I'm doing everything I should, but I am constantly exhausted lately. I was wondering if anyone else has had or is having this same problem? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Between pre-op loss of 30 and 4 week post-rny loss of 15 lbs, I'm down a couple of pant sizes & I feel healthier. When I look in the mirror, I kind of see a difference but I do not really see a difference (not sure if that makes sense). When people compliment me, I think they are just trying to be nice because they know I had wls. Has anyone had a hard time accepting that the weight loss is actually a reality?

I cannot stress enough how important is to measure yourself. I had my surgery on 11/22. I decided to take my measurements prior to pre-op diet. I am coming up on my two month anniversary on Monday. I am excited to not only go down a pant size, but more importantly seeing the numbers drop. I hope this is motivational for our post-op peeps that are struggling with bring stagnant with weight loss. I have been stuck at the same number on the scale for over a week and it finally moved a pound down today! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

This is the factor teenagers don't have to make use of any sort of type of anti-aging things again then. On the other hand, facets i've recounted above start to Rejuvonus Cream drop which influences the collagen to get damaged. Rejuvonus anti-wrinkle cream is made of chain of peptides which when turns into a part of the cellular layer of our skin helps to fortify the degree of collagen and for the reason that of this your epidermis is ready to undertake the adhering to ameliorations it needed to clock back the getting older approach. I have seen on a couple of other feeds people talking about Stalling where you don't see any movement in the scale or see movement in the wrong direction. I know for me I was in shock when i first got out of the hospital to see the weight come off so quick I lost about 30 lb the first two weeks then it slowed down to maybe 10 a week I know I am addicted to my scale I get on it about 5 times a day> i freaked out on week 6 when the scale didn't do Sh\it for a week I was getting a little depressed thinking that I did this surgery and it didn't work I'm going to get fat again. But then the scale acted right and i lost 7 lb in a week. what i want to know is what do you do w…

My surgery date is January 25th 2017. The one thing that helped me during the liquid diet for three weeks without going through caffeine withdrawals was starting the eating process early by using artificial sweeteners, no sodas and decaf coffee. Now I have to face the surgery. My starting weight was 389lbs. I lost 35lbs. own my own and 12 more since this diet. Now I am 342lbs. Sent from my B1-810 using the BariatricPal App

After my weight loss stall that seemed like forever!!!, I was happy to see that the scale started moving again . That was more annoying than getting your shirt snagged on a drawer knob. Well I finally hit the 30 pound loss mark. Whoot!!! I personally think that's a decent amount of weight for the amount of time since I've gotten my roux en y surgery on January 9th 2017. I do want to actually lose weight at a normal pace. Not no landslide. All in all I feel great!!!!! The incision on my right side where the biggest instrument went in still bothers me. When I stand up it feel like my insides are going to drop out. There is a lot of straining and pulling. …

So my surgery is just a month away now and I had to go for my bi weekly weigh in this morning. When I started this process in September they had asked me to lose 37.5lbs before my surgery. Well as of today I am down 44lbs and that leaves time for me to lose even more hopefully making surgery and recovery even easier. Sent from my 6045O using the BariatricPal App

Hello, I got my surgery done on the 22nd of December. I am 3 weeks in and i cannot even digest anything other than liquids, I tried mashed potatoes, pureed things. For some reason i cannot get it to stay down. Even with one bite or 3 it just sits in my stomach, and i feel like i want to throw up. I am supposed to start solid food on Thursday, and I'm scared to do so. Has anyone else had this problem? Oh and i also burn a lot after eating Soups or anything for that matter.

Hi everyone! I've been lurking on this forum for a little while so I figured it was time to introduce myself. My name is Angela and I am in the process of getting approved for a VSG. My husband is also pursuing this surgery and we hope to both be sleeved by the end of the year. We will have to space our surgeries out a little since we have a soon to be 3 year old to look after. I have type 2 diabetes which should qualify me for the surgery since my BMI is between 35 and 40. So far, I've met with the surgical PA and the NUT. I have my appointment with behavioral health scheduled as well as a follow-up with the NUT. I also have to have a sleep study consult done, which wi…

I had my surgery 2 days ago. I felt like I did everything ok, leading up to and after the surgery. I walked, I sipped on Water and did breathing exercises. I was released this evening to go home, and the only pain I am having was smack dab in the middle of my chest. Pain melds don't seem to do much and I feel like my esophagus is cramping or something. I told my surgeon about it and he didn't seem to worried. I've only had Clear liquids so I can't imagine it's a stricture. Anyone else have this? Am I being impatient? I have battled with my weight since I was young but pretty much kept it under control with working out and diet. Late 2009 I started having issues with my hips and was unable to walk more then just a few feet, so the weight just piled on was at my heaviest 312 I'm 5"7. My doctor recommended I have a bariatric consultant. At the time the way things went with the bariatric doctor it seemed like the magic pill we al dream of. Just one consult and I was underway to my upcoming surgery I had to lose 10% of my weight. Took me about 3 months and had my surgery January of 2011. I was outpatient surgery and was home by dinner. I have to say it was fairly easy very little pain, so…

Before I had my procedure done, I had such a way of living that didn´t really followed my dreams and hopes and aspirations. I was always insecure, and it goes without saying that my health was in such a state that I was always in and out of the hospital for problems with my respiratory system and my gastric system. It was a long journey before I decided I wanted to go through with the surgery. I had to make the decision for myself, for my own benefit and thinking about my future, what I wanted and how I wanted to continue to live my life, if I wanted to keep feeling bad about my appearance or if I wanted to be pro active and make a change for the better, to take action,…

Hi my name is Rebecca and I'm on my way to a healthier life! So I am a 46 year old mother of 4 grown children (amazing children ) I have suffered from bipolar depression, ptsd, anxiety with panic attacks, and borderline personality for many years. As a result I have been on numerous medications that have caused me to gain significant weight, as well as having used food as my "comfort" food... That was the beginning of a life long struggle with weight. This past two years I have had a stroke and a mini stroke, my left knee has been totally replaced twice and is still very unstable so exercise is virtually impossible and my weight reached an all time high of 383lbs! I wish I had good news!! Long story short...appeal Kaiser's 24 weeks in San Diego program. Reasoning is the OC is only required 12 weeks. I did 12 weeks much to my dismay as the entire class was like a bad sorority meeting weekly and I had also lost my job. Appeal was approved and basically Positive Choices BS'd me and sent me to Pacific Baritriatric knowing full well that the surgeons would make me finish the whole classes. Waited 5 weeks to get the surgery consult and in the mean time was told I could not continue the classes until the surgeon decided when they knew full well that the surgeon would would say return to classes. Pacific Bariatric is a mess!! They ar…

I have been exploring WLS for 10 years. Kept backing out for various reasons. Almost cancelled 3 days before my surgery but my nurse talked me down and I read a lot of success stories and... Had surgery on January 9. Went very smoothly. Very little pain or gas. June 2012 I had the lap band surgery. It was outpatient and at a clinic that made you feel like you were just another number. I swear they heard you like cattle, but I was desperate to have weight loss surgery so I was ok with it I guess. I lost all my weight really quick, 69 pounds in about 13 months. I always went for my fills and x-rays to maintain, but then I started having troubles with fills, overfilling, couldn't locate my port, couldn't eat a lot of healthy foods, I would have to find a bathroom everywhere I went so I could throw up. I gained 20 pounds back and had to have my port fixed because the clinic caused it to leak because they never could find my port a…
