4 days in

After seeing my sister have the sleeve. I researched and came to the conclusion this surgery is for me. Unlike waiting 6 months, I only had to wait 3 months. Dealing with Anxiety I was very nervous operation date January 17, 2017. The first day I was relieved that I groggy but awake because of the anesthesia. Second day walking, pain meds was something I looked forward to. I was tired and couldn't get any fluids down. Third day, ER visit chest pain, arm pain, back pain, gas pain and throat hurt. All test came back negative. No blood clots. Dehydrated had to have 3 bags of IV fluids. At this point I asked myself why did I do this? After talking to my surgeon and getting more advice from my nurse who had the sleeve done a year ago by the same Dr was very enlightening. Fourth day I'm more positive. Getting my Vitamins in and trying to get in 64 oz of Water. I'm sipping but I'm sure I'll get close to my water mark pretty quickly. Still have back pain but feeling better. I can say I'm now excited about this journey in my life.

Sleeved 1/12. We all have the "what did I do..." moments, but forgetting we need some time for our bodies to heal. Hang in there!!!
