  1. My bleeding stopped about 3 days after my doc took me off of the blood thinners. He put me back on them when I stopped and I was able to finish the prescription without any issues.
  2. Call him and have him put you on antibiotics. That's what I did and all went well.
  3. Did your surgeon put you on blood thinners? 1 week after my surgery I started bleeding thinking it was my period. Well I used a super tampon and in 30 min had to change. 15 min later same thing. I had my daughter go get the super duper tampons and pads and it only took 30 minuets to go through all. I called my doctor and he took me off the blood thinners until I stopped then put me back on 1 a day for a week then back up to two a day the next week. I had to have blood work to check my iron level and it was severely low. He suggested iron infusions but I opted for prescription pills. I am now off the blood thinners and my iron is normal but I still take the Celebrate tangerine iron chews once a day!
  4. I had to wait a week to drive. As far as sleeping I had no problem sleeping in my bed. Best of luck to you!
  5. I liked the Better than Bullion brand to make my broths. It is a paste and in jars that have to be refrigerated. They have Rotisserie Chicken, Seasoned Vegetable and Roast Beef. They are great alone or mix together. I bought 2 packs of the Glad 4oz containers as dinnerware. Lol Sugar free popsicles, which are my fav now for a sweet treat. Premier Protein drinks and food scale from WalMart. When you start moving to soft foods read.....read.....read your labels. I am supposed to stay with 5 grams fat and 15 grams carbs. I check sugar content, well everything. Good luck!
  6. I don't really eat any fatty foods, I am only 1 month out. Just chicken, fish and veggies. I have appointment with my surgeon March 21st, he is doing ultra sound, X-rays and blood work.
  7. Anyone had gallbladder issues? If so what does it feel like? I am having some pain on my right side just under my breast. It is like a dull ache at times. I will contact my doctor but I hope it is just gas or something simple because I have to fly to Germany 1st week of March for work for 3 weeks. Really don't want any issues while I am there!
  8. Keep fighting! Take in your liquids and that should keep you full, but you will have to battle the head hunger. Once you start seeing and feeling how healthy you are becoming the easier it will be! I for one do not want my weight to come off too quickly. I want my body and brain to have time to adjust to the changes. The weight will go, I mean hey ...... you and I can only hold 4 oz of anything in our stomach......it will go! Just stay focused on your goal. Weigh your food, get your protein, drink your liquids, take your vitamins and exercise your way to that healthy, happy person you deserve to be! Oh wait what is your screen name....pathtosuccess.....I think you are already on your way.

  12. I started getting a cold a week before my procedure and I called my surgeon. He put me on antibiotics and I was fine by surgery date.
  13. I bought the 4oz Glad containers, I think you get 8 in a pack and that is my new dinnerware. I weigh my food and put it in the containers and dinner is ready!
  14. I take Bariatric Advantage multi vitamin 2 daily, B 12 injections 1 monthly, Celebrate tangerine iron chew 2 daily, Bari Melt Biotin 1 daily, High potency vitamin D 1 weekly (prescription) and Bariatric Advantage coconut calcium chews 1 daily. This is not. vitamin but the doctor suggested I also take nexium twice a day. And yes I do have room for food and liquids! Lol
  15. Let us know how your visit went. All the best!

  17. My doc said no straws because it can put to much air in your stomach. As far as Sonic if it has any uncarbonated sugar free drinks I think they should be ok. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
