Chewable and Liquid Vitamins

Recommended Posts

Hi All!

I was sleeved on January 18th. I'm looking for some recommendations for a good multi Vitamin, Calcium plus D, and Iron. My current iron and calcium pills make me nauseous and so my doc suggested looking for chewable or liquid forms, even a pre natal, but no brand was mentioned. I need 1500mg of calcium. If I can find a 2 - in - 1 or 3 - in - 1 that'd be great.

Thanks in advance!

-Chrissy

I was also sleeved on 1/18/17 and originally got the chalky chewable kind and it made me nauseous and I even threw up from it. For a Multivitamin, I really like the Bariatric Fusion soft chews (it's like a starburst consistency). And for Iron I take the bariatric fusion iron soft chew (he multivitamin doesn't have iron). For calcium citrate, I take Celebrate soft chews. Sorry it's not a 2 in 1 or 3 in 1.

I take the Celebrate brand of Vitamins. After surgery, I was taking the Celebrate "orange burst" chewable tablet for my Calcium/Vitamin D. And I just switched from the Celebrate multivitamin chewable tablet to the capsules, now that I am able to swallow larger pills.

One reason why I wanted to get off of the chewable tablets if possible is because of the grams of carbs that are in them.... they were adding up, and I was getting 8 grams of carbs a day just from Vitamins alone. Also, if you are taking the chewable vitamins (the soft chews), be aware that the carbs and calories are higher. Some people may not even care about that, but I thought I would mention it.

I take Bariatric Advantage multi Vitamin 2 daily, B 12 injections 1 monthly, Celebrate tangerine Iron chew 2 daily, Bari Melt Biotin 1 daily, High potency Vitamin D 1 weekly (prescription) and Bariatric Advantage coconut calcium chews 1 daily. This is not. vitamin but the doctor suggested I also take nexium twice a day. And yes I do have room for food and liquids! Lol

Lots of good advice and options!

Just want to throw in my recommendation for Nascobal. B12 nasal spray prescription that gives you multivitamin, Iron and Calcium too. Covered by a lot of insurances for around 25 a month, because it is a prescription. They have the chewable and the swallow kind.

I love getting everything together and getting it shipped to me. So lazy like that.

Hope you find something that works for you!

I am having my surgery on Friday this week! But I did buy some Bariatric chewables from my local Walgreens and they are $27! They are the only brand of Bariatrics that Walgreen carries in the store. I also found that GNC has a sublingual B12 for about $10 that I'll buy when I get home.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
