I can honestly say that ever since I've been using the nutribullet that I've definitely seen an improvement. For example people complain about constipation so I experience it also. So I've decided to use raw cabbage banana blueberrys or mixed berries flax seed or chia seed. And now I have regularity with no issues since drinking the smoothies on a daily basis and it also counts towards Fluid intake.

Hi, my name is Tonya. I'm a 44 years old mother of five ages 16, 2, 3, 4 and 4. Number 2 and one of the 4's I have permanent custody of and I'm trying to adopt :-) I am going to try and not ramble but I do sometimes. I was never an overweight child, never gained more than maybe 20 pounds extra in high school. In college I was able to maintain 135 pounds with no weight gain. I'm 5'5. When I was 25 I got married. At 27 I got pregnant with my first child and gained 100 pounds. He weighed 11 pounds at birth. 10lb15oz exactly. From the year of his birth, 1998, until the present, I have not been under 200 pounds. My last weight was 300 at pre-op testing. Years of being abus…

Okay now I can have meals that weigh 7oz total. basically 4oz meat 3oz veggies. also i can have a snack so instead of eating a snack I have a veggie smoothie made with the nutribullet. I have to be careful not to eat any trigger foods for a snack. I listen to my body and it really depends what I put in my body as far as food is concerned. Determines what craving I will have. So I stay away from simple carbs. Only dairy carbs. for Cereal or a greek yogurt. It was suggested that I do a food journal however I eat the same foods and portions everyday every week. maybe twice a week Ill have a sandwich which consists of 2 slices whole grain bread and 5oz of deli meat mainly chi…

I was sleeved on 4.16.14, since than I have lost a total of 55lbs. Although I am very excited I'm starting to question my sleeve decision. I know I'm suppose to slowly introduce foods back, such as puree, and other soft foods, but it's so frustrating to me. I'm on vacation in Las Vegas and only one of my friends know about my surgery. She completely understand everything I'm going thru, but the others don't. It's so hard when we go out to eat asking for ala cart or kids meals is embarsssing. Yesterday the waitress told me I couldn't get a kids meal due to my age, instead of explaining to her my situation I waisted a whole entire meal l didn't eat. My friends think I'm st…

Today I stepped on the scale and that began one of the greatest days I have had since having my children. I was 199 lbs. I haven't seen a weight under 200 lbs since before I was 16, I still can't believe it. This month had been a slow loss month but to see that number under 200, I don't even care. I couldn't possibly be happier!

So my 7th week how was it...? I was sick ( with a cold) and I got really bad constipation :-( I also have a X-ray coming up because my doctor suspects I have arthritis in my knees :-( they are incredibly sore all the time ( it's not a weight thing) food wise it's going okay I can tolerate a lot more different foods but I am struggling with the fact that I can only have a few small bites :-( I guess that's the point of the sleeve ... But it's hard to adjust .. Well I mean it's hard to adjust my brain because obviously if I eat to much I throw up , I felt quite bad yesterday and threw up twice it was ham .. :-( But yes anyways that's my week 7 , also now down 26 …

Well, after a very long haul, (sleeved 7/24/12), my feeding tube ( J tube) come out 5-27-14. I am counting down these last two days. If interested, you can find my previous posts.... I have been on formula forever and started tolerating Water about 4 months ago, and a variety of food (been a vegie for 30 years and continue to eat the same manner). I have vomited a few times in the last several days so I am a bit worried. I have not been able to do any cardio and 1. cannot wait to work out 2. I GET TO sleep ON MY TUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I weighed myself and the scale showed I gained 6 lbs. I don't eat much, barely 4 ounces. I eat healthy, when I can eat. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I can see I lost weight, I wear a size 18 - 20. I was wearing 24. I don't want to gain back the weight.

Hi guys, I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Paige and I'm 21 years old. I started my journey for the 4th time in February 2014 trying to have gastric bypass surgery. The past 3 times have been failed attempts due to emotions, not ready, or my dad not supporting me. After all the testing, many dr appts, and support group meeting I finally had my 2nd birthday May 19th, 2014. I am 6 days out and feel great!!! I have had a breakdown since surgery. I have craved fried foods so bad. It's crazy. I have found out and came to the realization that I have lost my best friend(food). The post op diet has been pretty challenging. I didn't think it would be this challenging…

So after 10 years if being morbidly obese. And on failed to have surgery (may ins company discovered a clause that didn't allow for weight lose surgery 3 years ago) I'm finally taking the plunge again. I currently weigh 301 lbs. I started the journey mid April, at my top weight of 312 lbs. I'm down 11 of the 32 lbs the surgeon would like me to lose prior to surgery. All my preppy test (scope, barium, and psych exam) are all done and only have 4 more dietician visits to do. Any advice for someone starting out this journey?

Hey Guys, I got sleeved on the 21st. Everything went well in the hospital, no drains. In recovery, I did need the pain medicine, however now (at home), I've only taken it at night. I constantly feel full and am having issues taking in the required Protein and liquid. I am 4 days postop and I tried yogurt yesterday but since then I have felt unbelievably full and couldn't handle drinking Water. After the yogurt I couldn't eat or drink anything. Does this mean I stretched my sleeve? Maybe I pushed it too far? Anyone feel like this? Another thing, is it bad I keep sleeping on my belly? I also keep getting Charlie horses in my legs, anyone else get these? Thanks …

I have always been overweight and at 63 years old I knew I had to do something. I've had 2 knee replacements and knew that those "new" knees wouldn't last under this 248 pounds. I started inquiring about the lap band procedure in September 2013. It took 5 months to get through the paperwork and appointments and on Valentine's Day 2014 I had surgery. It's been a little over 3 months and I'm 45 pounds down. I'm working really had to do what I'm supposed to do. I had an adjustment the 1st and 2nd month. This month I didn't need the adjustment. I haven't had to throw up any food but I have had an incident of really bad pain because I ate too big a bites and didn't che…

Hello everyone, I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I've been lurking on the boards for 6 months now. I'm male, 46 years old, BMI 44. I've had a heart attack and bypass surgery, sleep apnea and a history of DVT's and PE's. I want to thank all the folks who have contributed here. I have found this site to be a treasure of information and I feel very well prepared for my WLS thanks to you. I completed my 6 month medically supervised weight loss program earlier this month and my insurance was just submitted to Premera Blue Cross. I'm having gastric bypass and my surgeon Jeffery Hunter at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. I've spen…

Hello everyone, I would just like to say if you find this forum helpful it really is. I believe that while I was a part of the forum using another screen name I was constantly losing weight each week, and I was always motivated to keep up with other sleevers losing the weight. When the weight loss was going good, I dropped back thought I could just do what I want, and now I wish I could turn back the hands of time and get this weight back off. I have only gained back 20lbs but that’s a lot to have gained back in less than a year. I pray that I will be able to get back on the losing side of things. I have so many issues and hardships going on its kind of hard just to stay …

Hello again everyone. I'm 3 1/2 months out and I'm beginning to notice that my hunger has increased lately. It mostly hits in the evening it seems. I try to ignore it because my weight loss this month has been very slow because I was sick for over a week I think, and I'm afraid of hitting a big stall and not losing or worse yet, gaining. Has anyone experienced this issue before and can spare some time and advice? I would greatly appreciate any help on this matter because it's very frustrating. I don't want anything to slow down me reaching my goal in a year or less,

Height: 5'4" Highest wt: 228 lbs. Pre-surgery wt: 205 lbs. Surgery date: 5-15-14 (6 days post-op) Hi all! My name is Heather, and I just turned 29 years old. Choosing to have a sleeve gastrectomy was not an easy decision for me. I'm Italian, and in my family, my weight was "just fine." I felt imprisoned by my weight though, and I made this decision for ME. I had a number of comorbities including sleep apnea and depression (which "helped" me to qualify for the surgery.) I just wanted to introduce myself and wish everyone lots of luck throughout their journey!

My name is Joann and today I am encouraged! I am 43 years old and am currently 316lbs. I am abodopted so I know nothing about by biological parents. I do know know that I look in the mirror and I see a smaller person hiding behind my face. That may sound weird but it's true. I just got married last May to my best friend! My husband is the biggest and best support! He loves me the way that I am but encourages me to be the person I want to be. If that is a smaller person than he supports me in that. He may be more excited for me than I am!!! I have two sons and they are both excited for me and this journey to begin. As for the rest of my family, I have chosen to keep this t…

My sleeve is scheduled for the 21st. I have been really careful the last three months and have lost 35 lbs. but in the past couple dash I found myself overeating and having "last meal" cravings. Has this happened to anyone else? I have to get it back under control and would like to lose a couple more pounds before surgery. I don't know why I'm sabotaging myself like this. I feel sick both from upset and eating too much. Any tips or ways to cope with these pre op feelings are welcome! Thanks.

Hi everyone, I am 4 days post-op from having a Gastric Sleeve. The decision to go for the sleeve was a very easy one, "the band was completely awful"! I was originally banded in May 2012, the band slipped & adhered itself to my liver in around March 2013. I persisted with it for a few months (where I couldn't eat or drink anything without vomiting it back up) & eventually had it replaced in June 2013. There was no improvement in the pain I was experiencing or the reflux either, two weeks later, I had it removed completely. Although the weight loss was amazing - 40kg in 13 months, the constant battle with 'right amount of fluid' was a nightmare for me. So I was…

Hi Ladies! I'm new here but joined a bit ago. I got my band in April 2012. I initially did well and lost 40. I have maintained it so I'm happy. But from the start...I ate and drank whatever...even pop. Same amounts too. I didn't have problems but about 8 or 9 months ago...I was starting to have pain swallowing. Very much pain. No vomiting but pain. However now...the pain will stop me in my tracks...mid chew. Real issues swallowing...and now if I can't swallow then I can just vomit it up. Then I'm fine. Even during these episodes I can't drink water to get food down. I'm fine with soft foods. My surgeon can't stand me and I'm still paying my bill so I'm afraid to call him…

Hi All - I just joined, but have been reading for a while, and the support on here looks great - and I'm sure we all need that. I'm scheduled for June 3rd, as long as all pre-op goes fine. Anyone on here have experience with Dr. John Weaver in Denver? I finally decided to have weight loss surgery after getting a good look at myself in a full length hotel mirror...Argh! I've tried several "diets" with no long term success and I want to be around for my kids, my husband and family. I so want to feel comfortable taking my kids swimming or enjoy playing ball with them, riding bikes and so on. Not to mention not deal with health repercussions in the future. I'm r…

Surgery on 2 19 13 and all went well. Fill every six weeks as ordered and within 7 months I was seeing green and was giving away the pounds. One year checkup and 90 of those little suckers were gone and I was given the go ahead to talk to plastic surgeon about skin removal. Then I started having issues with coughing and spitting up phlegm after eating. Nothing was stuck and Portion Control was good. So had .5cc Fluid removed. That was 2 days ago and still coughing but not as often or as much. Then found out plastic surgeon my weight loss surgeon recommended does not take my insurance, but he did give me an exam to see if I would qualify for the surgery anyway. He said …

I'm down a total of 36 lbs, which is fantastic. I started this journey at 310, and I'm now at my lowest point in about 10 years (I think I was around 270 after I gave birth to my youngest. I could be wrong though...it was a while ago) I am slightly irritated that I'm still so swollen that my clothes are not reflecting the loss, and I am frustrated that I can't do much walking because my stomach HURTS (I hit 3300 steps yesterday, which was an accomplishment. Pre-surgery, I was doing 10k steps). I know that I need to give my body time to heal, but I am ready to start MOVING! Last night was a bad night. I was told that "This time last week you still had your whole stom…
