  8. This thread keeps me hopeful.
  9. Thank you to everyone that responded. I will get started on the Biotin.
  10. Thank you Willow13 & JCP.
  11. My appointment with the weight loss counseling center is the 13th. Since I last posted I have learned that I have hypothyroidism, slight anemia and Vitamin D deficiency. Does anyone know how any of this might impact me approval for the surgery? Thanks.

  13. Wow........ I think if you do what your dr tells you to do I you will be fine. Thank you. :-)
  14. She said some other things but I don't remember them.
  15. She told me that because of a drop in protein hair loss is common and that she knows many people that put all of the weight back on within 7 years. She made it seem like an ordeal that would yield results that wouldn't last. It was pretty discouraging.

  20. Well, I am now not sure about doing this. My PCP's nurse told me some things that scared me. But I have my appointment for the weight loss counseling set for the 13th. So far I am going forward.

  23. I can only speak as someone that is just starting the process. I don't expect it to be easy but when I think about being this heavy in my 40's and beyond I know I have to do this. My quality of life suffers because of my weight. I'm tired of paying more for clothes, having unflattering clothing styles and being embarrassed to take pictures. So for me...there is no question. I seek change and I will not let fear stop me. I can only pray this will be a successful journey.
  24. What job do you have now? What job do you want? Why are you interested in changing positions?
  25. Mal0712 I know what you mean. My 1st appointment for the whole thing is in the morning. I need this to go smoothly. I am hoping to be approved and get my surgery scheduled at the latest 6 months from now. I plan to stay on top of all lab work and other appointments to get them done as quickly as I can. I like you need this, I've tried so many times to lose weight and nothing has worked. I wish you luck and know that we are here to support each other!
