  1.    Metal13 reacted to a post in a topic: Anyone from NY looking for a sleeve buddy?
  2. I lost 40 pounds since surgery. I didn't have a preop diet so basically it's been all within the last month. I am still on the full liquid stage, however I did try some chicken and Beans, and it was okay, I felt fine. It's so weird cause then the next day I had tomato Soup and I feel like I'm overfull and the food is just sitting in my throat.
  3. What are you guys eating!? Proteins?

  5. I was sleeved on May 21st, is anyone looking for a buddy to text/chat?
  6. I was on liquid for the first 3 days and then I have to do full liquid, including yogurts, puddings, etc, for FOUR weeks! Doesn't that sound too excessive? I saw my nutritionist today and told her that I tried a little bit of mashed potatoes, and she pretty much told me that I shouldn't start puree for another 2 weeks, despite my surgeon telling me that I cannot do any damage to the staples. I was sleeved on May 21st, by the way. I am also having such a problem getting in Protein. I heard a lot of people like the Premier Protein, chocolate flavor? Any suggestions? I have already spent so much money on different Protein shakes. I tried the isopure vanilla, which I hate (yuck), then I tried the isopure drinks, the fruit alpine, they were even worse, then I tried these coffee lattee flavored packets my nutritionist sold that I didn't like, and finally (today) I bought a pack of the pre-made shakes my nutritionist had in her office and they were good but they are expensive ($18 for 6!) and don't have as much protein as the premier, they only have 15g whereas the premier has 30g. Suggestions welcomed!!!
  7. I started at almost the same weight, I think everyone's body is different. Some people loose quicker than others. I am almost two weeks out and I am down to 298. Are you still on full liquids? I am having such a hard time on the diet =(
  8. I tried the isopure ones! They were gross! I can't get any protein in. I am on liquid/purée. But usually I eat about 2 Greek yogurts a day which have 12g of proteins. I am definitely not getting enough!
  9. I tried the isopure too, and it's gross. So I went back to gnc and I got the premade isopures and they were worse (omg horrible)
  10. I hate the protein shakes (isopure, the vanilla one) and the shakes given to me by the nutritionist! I had my surgery on the 5/21 and basically all I am having is half of a yogurt a day and some Gatorade to prevent dehydration, anyone have any tips???? Much needed! I'm down 20 lbs since I started my preop diet (5/14)
  11. Me too, I'm definitely not getting enough to drink and I'm still in stage 1
  12. They said yogurt, puddings, and very thin purées are part of stage I. Has anyone else had yogurt this quickly? I think I am going to hold off on it since I was so full and became nauseous when I tried to drink after some time afterwards.
  13. Hey Guys, I got sleeved on the 21st. Everything went well in the hospital, no drains. In recovery, I did need the pain medicine, however now (at home), I've only taken it at night. I constantly feel full and am having issues taking in the required Protein and liquid. I am 4 days postop and I tried yogurt yesterday but since then I have felt unbelievably full and couldn't handle drinking Water. After the yogurt I couldn't eat or drink anything. Does this mean I stretched my sleeve? Maybe I pushed it too far? Anyone feel like this? Another thing, is it bad I keep sleeping on my belly? I also keep getting Charlie horses in my legs, anyone else get these? Thanks Jess
