You look great!!! So happy for you! I still have a ways to go but with the amount I've lost and still need to lose, I'll definitely need plastics. Thanks for all the info.

skin removal
Hey Jane, Did you have all that done in one surgery or different surgeries? I still have a lot to lose but can already tell that I'll probably need all you had done. How long were you off work?

Im having a hard time. Need some encouragement
Hey there! We were sleeved on the same day!!! I honestly could have written your post. I'm feeling the same way. It's pretty sad but I know things will get better. I have a family function this weekend and I feel like an outcast. Same with friends and work people. It's like I don't fit in anymore because everything seems to revolve around food. Like I said, I know it will get better for me and for you too!!! It's just gone take some time!

Esophageal Manometry
- September 23rd sleevers!
Hey all. Just checking in. I got to come home yesterday. Monday night was horrible. Felt so nauseated and kept dry heaving. They changed my pain med to something way less stronger and tried another nausea med and I've been much better since then. Having a really hard time drinking. I do ok with Water but I know my doc wants me getting my Protein in too. Trying on the protein but really focusing on water so I don't get dehydrated. This drinking is a full time job. Hope everyone else is doing good or doing better as the days go by!- September 23rd sleevers!
Good luck to all the 23rd sleevers tomorrow!! I'm very nervous and excited at the same time!!!- Esophageal Manometry
It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I got scared when the nurse said she was going to bring my surgeon in there to watch the process because some patients don't do so well. For me, the hardest part was when she was squirting the lidocaine mixture in my nostril. I think it was 4 times she did that. But that deadened my nostril and the part I swallowed deadened my throat. Once she entered the tube in my nose, I didn't feel a thing. Then she warned me when the tube was about to hit my gag reflex, but I didn't feel that either. I did fine. After they have the tube in place, I laid back a little and she would give me liquid (squirted it in my mouth from a syringe) then I would swallow. Did this 10 times so they could get the images they needed. Then she had me take a deep breath and pulled the tube out of my nose. Not saying I ever want to do that again, but I got all freaked and worried over nothing. You'll do fine. Just try and be calm. Best of luck to you!!- September 23rd sleevers!
23rd for me too! I'm getting extremely nervous but after 12 days on this liquid only preop diet, I'm just ready for Monday to hurry and get here!! My surgery is at 8am. Good luck to all my fellow 23rd sleevers! May God watch over all of us.- Whos in September? We need some September buddies!
Haha! I love that saying...liquid diet brain. OMG, I am definitely stealing that from you and using it. 5 days on this liquid diet and my work people are thinking I'm nuts. I've never felt so out of it in my life. Only 9 more day to go for me...ugh! Good luck to you!!!- Is any one having HIGHS and LOWS with EMOTIONS
I'm the exact same way. Day 4 of my 2 week liquid diet and I cried earlier for really no reason except I'm just tired. My emotions are all over the place too.- Whos in September? We need some September buddies!
- Here we go!
Good luck! Let us know how you are doing when you feel up to it!- Whos in September? We need some September buddies!

I started my 2 week pre-op diet today too. It's 5 protein shakes per day and I can have broth or sugar free popsicles too. I'm already sick of protein shakes. But, like you, I keep telling myself it's only 2 weeks (even though 2 weeks feels like an eternity right now). Is your surgery the 23rd also? - September 23rd sleevers!
