At the present, in the twenty-first century, USA Health and Fitness exist in a world wherever populace are obsessed by celebrity, TV, the movies, and what has turn out to be recognized as "Hollywood" in common. This has ambitious body-image principles from side to side the top. Everyone wants a six-pack, stuffed biceps, and a fastidious toned upper body. If you are a female, you desire those sexy curves, and not "too much bulkiness". So how can I help you in accomplish these kinds of consequences? It describes stimulating weights. For man, enlivening weights will permit their hormonal compose up (high echelon of testosterone, human being enlargement hormone, etc) to con…

were invented by the devil himself ! ! ! I am so very out of shape, and could NOT even remotely keep up. I did stay for the entire class, but there is no way that I have the stamina, nor leg strength to do the entire routine. I went in today to do my strength training program, but the physical coordinator talked me into her spin class. I told her I really wanted to do my strength training, and she was like "ohhh do it afterwards, it's just a 40 minute class." My cheerful self says "okay, sure what could it hurt." Well let me tell you, IT HURT EVERYTHING. My thighs were burning, my calves were aching, and not to mention the pain in my nether regions from the "saddl…

Does anyone work out more than once a day? I work from home and walk/jog for about 45-50 minutes in the morning before Breakfast, and then sit at a desk the rest of the day. Could it hurt me to do a DVD or the Wii Fit in the afternoon too? I want to ramp up my work out to lose 20 pounds by March 6 when I leave for Jamaica, and I need to purchase a swim suit before I leave... :blushing:

I have such knots in my muscles that every time I do exercise I end up in such awful pain. I've started and stopped several exercise attempts because of pain. Five minutes on the treadmill, five days a week, gives me so much pain and headache that I can hardly function. A half hour Water aerobics class would wipe me out for a whole day. It's a new year and I'm going to start again. I'm just worried about the pain. Will it ever go away? Has anyone else had this problem?

Hello all! I received my very own bodybugg for Christmas. I'm so excited about it. I have been wearing it for two days, and my surgery is coming up very fast now (January 13.) I'm wondering how I get it all set up for my liquid diet - or rather, how you set yours up. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know how many people use or want to use these. But they have some really good exercises you can do at home. The problem with the Wii Fit is that it will not work if you weigh over 330 pounds. The actual hardware can support over 600 pounds but the software puts a 330 lb. limit on it. So for me, at a starting weight of 408 lbs. I would not be able to take advantage of this tools. But there is a way around it. If you put the Wii Fit platform on a soft blanket that will allow people over the 330 lb limit to use the unit. I have a blanket and I need to fold it a couple of times. It confuses the scale so it lets you play the game. Your weight specs will not be a…

Has anyone ever tried the Contour Core Sculpting belt? It's the one that you put on and the electric pulses contract your tummy muscles like doing crunches, but better...I ordered one in the hope that I can lose some more of this belly fat and possibly avoid the dreaded PS...and I abhor crunches, but have no problem with doing cardio... https://www.trycontour.com

I got banded October 16th, 2009 and I've been having a slow but steady weight loss! I went from a 22 to an 18 and I'm SUPER excited.:w00t: However, I do want to amp up my workout and would like to know when it would be best to start adding some core excercises to my workout. I also want to start jogging, since I've read that it's one of the most effectives excercises to lose weight! Does anyone have any suggestions on what types of workouts I could do for my core? Or how I can amp up my workout? I currently do 30min cardio (usually eliptical) 20 min light weights (legs and arms) 15 min lap swimming I've started working out since beginning of August…

I want a body bugg and I have been given the go ahead by the hubby as it will come out of his tax return. But, I am not sure if it is worth the price tag and I'll feel guilty for spending if I can't really justify it. I feel I am always looking for novelty, something to renew my committment to my weight loss. But, I always seem to abandon to whole thing after a couple of months. I have a gym membership, Weight Watchers pass, a wii FIT and a freaking lap band, but I am still engaging in the same old habits. Now, I want a new toy but do I really need it? Please tell me how much you think yours has TRULY impacted your ongoing success. Is it a motivator?? Thanks for the repli…

Hi there. I got a 15 lb kettle bell for Christmas and a set of 10 lb dumbbells to help increase my goal weight amount for some exercise in 2010. I have 2lb dumbbells, 5 lb dumbbells and 8 lb dumbbells and I had bought a good book on how to use hand weights for home exercising. The kettle bell came with a DVD with only 5 or so moves and it looks pretty intense. Anyone out there using a kettle bell and have a good web site reference of exercises starting out easy to building up to medium intensity. Thanks

Hi Folks, Hope everyone had a good holiday. I am scheduled for VSG next month  and I am a little concerned about my lifestyle afterwards. I work as a diving/sailing Captain in Florida and it gets hotter than hell down here in the summer. Presently, I carry around a gallon of Crystal Light tea with me and usually drink most or all of it in 24 hours; about half that this time of year. I'm concerned with the Fluid intake restriction that I'm going to be constantly battling dehyration in the summer both while working and exercising outside. I'm pretty much dripping wet with perspiration June through the end of October. Anyone in a similar situation? How do you dea…

Hello All! This is my first post and hope everyone is good! I have just started the process to start attempting the Lap-band® Surgery. I have been to my primary doctor who did some blood work and went over my health records. I have had high blood pressure for years and ashma plus last set of blood work my blood sugar was a little high. However I am nervous because my BMI is 38 not 40 has anyone ran into this? What has their luck been with insurance paying since mine has to be authorized first? I would greatly apprecitate any input...and thanks!

Hey there, just wondering if anyone has joined a CrossFit class in their area and what their experiences have been. I was just banded about 20 days ago and I know I wont be able to do the class right away, but eventually I would like to try it. If you have done this class/workout, how long after your operation did you start? For those of you that don't know what CrossFit is, here's a link: What is CrossFit?. Basically, it is an intense one-hour work out that includes elements of weight lifting, gymnastics, kettle bells, cardio, etc.

I spent all weekend reading all these great forums and started my workout at 5AM this morning before work. I had seen so many people speak so highly of the eliptical machine so I headed there first. After 3 minutes I was almost passed out on the floor choking for breath. I did manual and level 1. Am I doing something wrong? Maybe I will just stick to the treadmill until I lose a little bit more weight for now. I then went to the pool and did 45 mins of Water aerobics, but my legs are still wobbly from that eliptical machine.

I just got cleared to exercise, but not sure when the best time to do it with our eating. I wanted to know if it was better to get up on an empty stomach, then eat afterwards. Is it better to work out after work. If I eat before workout then I cant drink water 30 minutes afterwards. Just trying to figure out what is best.

I have been walking for a year and wanted to kick it up a bit, i found a workout room down the road at the pool. So, mwf's i walk there, and do the stationary bike, weights, treadmill, and elliptical and walk home. On t/th's i do the bike, treadmill and then get in the pool and do like 3 exercises there. because i do the recumbant bike 5 days a week, two of those days i sprint and 3 of those days i do endurance, so far i am not doing a ton of time on each piece of equipment, but everyday i go i make it a little harder, i am looking forward to seeing results, i am one month pre-op, and have been cleared for all of this, it's exciting, i love having a plan instead of walk…

I saw a post about walking marathons and 1/2 marathons, and I am intrigued. I am not much for competition, but I wonder if I had a goal to complete a 1/2 marathon (walking, of course!!!) how good I'd feel about myself! Any marathoners: how do you find out about them and how to train for them? I live in upstate SC and would probably have to travel but I could at least pretend I'm training for one! Are there any websites? Thanks! sara

So i have been going to the gym for about 6 months now and was starting to get tired of the same old same old. Well the step machine always used to scare me i would always see these young skinny girls sweating to death on these machines so i never tried it. Well i decided to give it a try i said to myself even if i do 5 mins on this machine it is still trying something new. Well i got on that machine and did 40 mins burned 560 calories just in 40 mins. I felt like i got the best workout of my life. I am not saying that it was easy but wow what a workout I even did 20 more mins on the treadmill for a grand total of 740 calories in one hr at the gym i have never burned this…

Who does weights on the same day that they do cardio. My dieation told me not to and I’m not sure why. I can only work out M, W, F’s due to my home life and schedules with 2 kids under the age of 4 so I have to work out extra hard 3 days a week and I have been combining cardio and weights. Is this a problem? Is it a caloric issue?

I posted this question in the General Forum, but discovered that it might be more appropriate here. How do you do it? I'm worried that after I get the band it's going to be hard for me to get enough Water during/after exercise and I'm afraid of dehydrating myself (which I am prone to). I generally guzzle a bottle of water following a workout, but have heard that that won't be possible with the band. I'll have to try to take sips during my work out. The thing is, I'm planning on training for the Rock n' Roll Marathon which will happen in June in San Diego, CA. Do you think I'll be able to keep myself hydrated enough to run 27 miles? Help please... Thanks i…

Wow... any thoughts on this study? >>Start exercising and you?ll become a round-the-clock, fat-burning machine, right? That?s long been a commonly held belief among exercisers and fitness experts alike. But a new report finds that, sadly, it?s not very likely. The notion that exercise somehow boosts the body?s ability to burn fat for as long as 24 hours after a workout has led to a misperception among the general public that diet doesn?t matter so much as long as one exercises, says Edward Melanson, an exercise physiologist and associate professor of medicine at the University of Colorado in Denver. << It gets better, read here: Exercise not likely to …

I was wondering how to burn more caloreis at the gym. I get an hr of cardio at the gym everyday (thats all the time i have i have a full time job and little ones at home) and the machines are telling me i am only burning 300 calories for that hr. I have read some post saying that some people are burning 8oo calories and hr is this because they are running their a** off. I am doing much better then i did several months ago (i can now do 3.7 and a 2 percent incline on the treadmill when i started i could only do 2.5 no incline) I am now on level 3 on the bike but i am still 225lbs and can't run on the treadmill for more then a few mins.
