am a FAILURE in my weight-loss journey
I'm struggling too. I was doing really great, about 65 pound loss and all of a sudden, I turned back into an emotional eating, binging, basket case and found that i had gained 15 pounds in about a month!!! I'm trying hard to get back on track. I've eliminated all snacks. I'm trying to stick to 3 meals a day and that is it. I'm also reading a new book "Women, food and God" Amazon.com: Women Food and God: An Unexpected Path to Almost Everything It has been amazing so far. It is an easy read and really helps you focus on why you are eating, not what you are eating.

Anyone interested in a Christmas challenge?
I'm in.. I've lost my motivation lately and have been eating a lot of snacks and slider foods... resulting in a 10 pound weight gain :smile2::thumbdown: I need to be accountable!!!

How much have you lost?
I'm hovering at 60 pounds right now.. it is going up and down about 2 pounds either way. I'm going tomorrow for my second fill, hopefully I'll get my restriction back!

I have a cold....what can I take?
There is a new alka seltzer cold plus that is nonfizzy. It is wonderful! It is my 'new' cold medicine!

Whats happening ?
A slider food is a food that will 'slide' right through the band from your pouch into the bottom of your stomach. Some examples of slider foods are Cookies, ice cream, chocolate, chips, etc.. For me, a crunchy taco is a slider food. Also, like Taco bell's nachos bell grande is a slider food for me, I could easily eat an entire plate of it.

Cost With Insurance
I have Cigna, and had my surgery done at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga TN. I paid $95 for my psychological and nutritionist ($95 total), then $30 copay for my pcp and surgeon visits ($30 per visit). And that was it. My insurance paid 100% of everything else. I refused to go somewhere that would have made me pay a program fee. This is a medical procedure.. how many gallbladder surgeons force a program fee on you??

Cigna anyone?
Once you meat all of your prerequisites, your surgeon's office should submit everything to your insurance. So first, call your insurance, see what they require of you, then do that stuff, then have it submitted.

Guzzling liquids
I have 'comfortable' restriction.. basically I can eat smaller amounts, am losing weight, but I'm not strictly on 1/2 cup of food at a time. I can still guzzle!!

Could use some answers and support
How did today go?? It took me two weeks before I felt well enough to go back to work. The first week was spent in the bed. So, you are doing great, just remember to take it slowly.

Chinese Food
Could it be the broccoli? I love chinese food and as long as I stick the to meats, I'm okay.. but one bite of broccoli, and I get stuck.

You should really start feeling better in a few days. I wanted to jump in and drink a lot because I felt so dehydrated. My dr told me to sip on caffeine free tea, and not worry about a lot of protein drinks until I was feeling better.
