Does anyone need several in great condition bras in a size 44dd? I went today and I'm down to a 40d. I understand some people might find it strange to wear others bras but it can get expensive. I could mail them out.

I'm 4 weeks post op and the scale hasn't moved much this week. I was feeling a little discouraged but remembered that sometimes when the scale isn't moving, inches are being lost. So I decided to put on a pair of jeans that never fit. Even when I bought them I didn't try them on and then of course grabbed the wrong size. I couldnt even get them over my butt! I put them on this morning and they finally fit! They are even baggy in my thighs now! Definitely a great motivator and now I know I at least went down a size. Woohoo!

Just had my 3 month surgiversary on Tuesday and this morning hit 50 lbs. down from Surgery day, and 94 lbs down total - which marks my half-way point to my goal weight of 130 This has happened faster than I thought it would and I am grateful that that I feel so much better. I even took a change and ordered some pants that are large - rather than than 1X I had been wearing, as my pants have gotten so big that I have tripped over them (still wearing my giant 3X shirts though - I think it will take a long time until the big tummy is gone enough that I feel comfortable wearing tighter stuff on top.) I have my 100 day post op appt next week and am pretty excited to go th…

Well, it will be 2 years in October, anyway!. I've maintaned the same weight for over a year now (155 lbs) and really have no issues at all anymore. The only thing I've noticed that's different is that for the first year I could have gone with no food at all - I never cared if I ate ever again. Now I'm hungry alllll the time - or at least every 2 hours or so. However, with that said. Still 4-5 bites of "whatever" completely satisfy me. And my lifestyle is so freaking active that I'm constantly burning calories. August in particular is active because I participate in a fund-raiser Hike-A-Thon and so far this month I've hiked over 50 miles with over 10,000' in elevation g…

It is wonderful to have a place to go where others understand what we have gone through and to share our joys and sorrows. We applaud each others successes no matter how small and call each other out when we see someone slipping back into old habits. I know some people get upset when they feel judged or criticizedc but I do believe we all want each other to succeed on this journey. Thank you all Andrea Sent from my SPH-D700 using VST

Can be stuck at the same weight for 2 weeks and then the scale finally starts moving! This is why I was never successful before surgery. I would quit after 1 week. 4 months post op and I'm down 70lbs!! Best decision ever! ( for anyone who cares )

I went to Knotts berry Farm on Friday. I had not been for 2 years because I was a millimeter from not being able to fit into the rides. This time there was room to spare! I couldn't even get the bar over my stomach in the bumper cars and there was plenty of room to spare. I ran everywhere and only had enough when the temp reached 105 and I had gone on Xcelerator twice. I went into Goodwill and found size medium tops and size 10 jeans and shorts. They now almost fit. The pants I mean. I am wearing medium tops. I went into target and got this cute little dress off the rack and it fit beautifully. It was the first time I have worn a dress in AGES. We went grocery shopp…

Hello Sleevers and soon to be Sleevers! This feels so funny to talk about myself but, I am so Happy...I wanted to share with you all. Especially, anyone thinking they are not sure they can take a chance. You need to believe in your surgeon and yourself. Best thing for me was my support, primarily my husband who has been to ever y appointment and both surgeries (yes I had a complication requiring a second surgery and setting me back...just a bit). Friday I went to see my surgeon and wonderful supportive staff, including Nurse and Marketing Manager...yup, Marketing Manager who was walking by and the nurse called her in...she saw my success and asked if I wanted to app…

So I am officially 4 months and 1 day out today. It's been a journey to say the least. Not any issues with the sleeve, just the head part of it. I know I have lost a lot weight (89 including pre-op) but I mentally still see myself as what I looked like before. But, I have went from a size 22/24 to a size 14, I went from 285 to 196, I weigh less than I did in Jr high, and weigh less than my husband does (by 5 pounds thank you lol). It takes a lot to accept the compliments from others, but I have got to say, I like the attention. I work out at least 4 days a week for 60-90 minutes. I eat almost only Protein, though I can say I don't really watch calories. As long as I kno…

In my endless Quest for understanding as I prepare to have VSG myself I am curious if anyone ever regretted their decision to have this surgery? I have seen plenty of people regret the lapband and a few regret gastric bypass (RNY, DS, etc). Did you regret it? Or maybe not regret the surgery, but regret any aspect or wish it was different? Please share your experiences....

So it all started for me last August. Had my first consult with the Surgeon and weighed 546 I'm ashamed to admit. Thanks to my Insurance Company I had to go through 9 months of NUT and Management visits etc. Doc said he wanted me to try and loose as much weight before surgery as possible because every pound dropped would help since I was already very high risk being so big. So the dieting bagan. The morning of my surgery I weighed 505lbs. This morning I decided to stop by Doc's office and weigh in. I'm happy to report I'm down to 442lbs. That's 63lbs since surgery and over 100lbs combined since I started the whole journey! I still have a way to go before my eventual go…

Today started out wonderfully. I have been in an annoying stall for weeks and weeks, and I finally saw the numbers on the scale going down! It's nothing major, but I was pretty excited. Then, I took the kids I babysit to a Water park. Bad idea. My current weight is 328 (down from 383 in 2.5 months), and on the very first slide we went to, a huge sign said that the weight maximum for a single tube was 250, and the max for a double was 400. Single tube was obviously out, so I was forced to take the younger girl that I was with and go with her, and im pretty sure we even went over that 400 limit. I spent the whole time praying that the tube wouldn't pop. That was bad, but …

So I don't notice the difference most of the time until I put on clothes that no longer fit. However when I look in the mirror I still look at myself and see the fat girl. I am a nurse and have had to finally go get new scrubs because the old ones were falling off me. When I did this I thought I only went down one size and no I went down two. I am 4 months and a week post op. i have lost 72 pounds and so close to being in the 100 mark. I have struggled at times with eating. I have not had any trouble eating anything. Nothing makes me sick to my stomach or har the runs. Sometimes I wonder of this is all really true and if they really did the surgery. And then I take the…

I am 37, six months ago, I was 5'6" and weighed 373 pounds. My son has ran cross country for the last 2 years. I have been lucky to be able to watch him start, then take the parent shortcut to the finish line in time to see him finish. It has always bothered me that I couldn't help him train in any way. Today, I am still 5'6", but am now down to 270. This morning, my son and I participated in a 5k. Yes, he had to wait for me at this finish line, but I crossed it at 49:30' still able to sprint the last 40 yards. And I did not puke, pass out, or die. My 14 year old son, told me that he was proud of me today. I have had many nsv's, but none of them made me feel as good…

I just wanted to make this a topic for people to come to and tell what the weighed before surgery, how long it took them to loose how much, and when they finally made it to Onederland!!! Here's my info so far: I had my surgery on January 11th, 2012 I weighed 247 on the beginning of my journey! as of March 18th, 2012 (just a little over 2 months out) I've lost 49 lbs and I've finally made it to Onederland on March 16th, 2012

I hit the 9 month mark last week and a friend sent me a picture she took of me after our morning run. It was so weird...I kept looking at the picture, thinking, "I almost look normal!!!" This journey has been so amazing!! It hasn't been easy but it's been totally worth it!!! For more than 10 years I pondered the idea of WLS. I told myself over and over again that I "should be able to take the weight off on my own". I was one of those people that thought having surgery would be a cop out. I could not have been more wrong!! The initial stages of post op were torturous for me. I remember feeling like I was going crazy at about the 3 week mark. I just wanted to c…

I have lost 43 lbs, from 250-207, which is awesome, but I really can't see a difference and I am still wearing all the same clothes (albeit, with a belt). Its just really discouraging to have done so much work and still be a big fat person. No one has noticed or said anything. Although, i think if they did i would be embarrassed. The few people I have told that I lost 40 lbs, they give me a look like I am lying and they size me up and down. I have still so far to go, I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I just have a hard time believing I will ever get there... Like, I'll just stop losing at some point, or the surgery won't work anymore, etc. I dream…

Today I had to go see my primary care doctor. I hadn't seen him since January and his immediate response upon seeing me was 'holy cow you lost a ton of weight'. But...here's the cool part: I met another Lap Band success today! The nurse at my doctor's office had Lap Band surgery just 2 weeks before I did, so the end of December 2011. Same surgeon, even the same nutritionist I used. She has lost 113 pounds! I have to tell you I wish I had her pic because she looks freak'n amazing. She is so cute and petite, I'm guessing maybe a size 8 at the very most. Looking at her, I'd have never guessed she was once obese. Like me, she absolutely loves her band. We t…

So I am with my family at our favorite Mexican restaurant. I always now get 1 shredded chicken soft taco with grilled onions, peppers, and tomatoes..sans the cheese and lettuce. Only eat 1/4 of the tortilla and all of the meat and vegetables..way less than I used too and way more healthier..anyway..I digress... One of the gentlemen we see there often came over and said "Hola Skinny..I need to go do what you did..and rubs his belly". I turned around looking to see who he was talking to and he said " Yes ..I am talking to you!!" OMGoodness...skinny used in the same sentence as me? Shut up...don't get me wrong..I am nowhere near my goal..I have a lot more to go..but wow..…

I am so excited....finally in Onederland. This mornings weight is 199.6#. I have not been under 200# in at least 27 yrs I weighed 271# when I began the whole sleeve process in April, 2012 The sleeve was the best thing I've done. It has totally changed my life. Your weight really does have an effect on so many areas of life. My attitude, outlook and overall disposition has drastically changed. Not just because of #'s going down but because I feel so much better and can do so many more things. Thanks to Dr Curry and his staff and to my friend who introduced me to the Gastric Sleeve procedure

And I sat there, eating my ham slice and cheese stick, while my coworker ate one across from me. I had no feelings of envy, temptation, or mourning. I didn't even realize until I got home that I'd gone up against my major trigger food and won! It's a great NSV and a big step forward to getting a healthy relationship with food.

Well here I am, and I'm one month shy of 2 years post op. I'm STILL enjoying life and I'm STILL having NSV's this far out. I'm on top of the world and I'm happier than I've ever been in my life. Just a little history so anyone can realize how big a deal this is... I was kicked off a roller coaster when I was about 20 years old because I was too fat to get the lock to latch. I've always been a thrill ride seeker and there are only but a few I won't dare get on (one being the Ferris Wheel if you can believe it, but that's another story entirely haha!!) Anyhow, all this time I'd never tried to get on another. I don't know if any of you have ever felt the humiliatio…

Hey all. I've been banded since April 09,2009. I have went from 255 pounds down to 125 pounds. I no longer have diabetes 2, high cholesteral, high blood pressure, no longer sleep with oxygen or a cpap. I move around more and have less pain. I'm doing things I would have never even tried before surgery...like trying to climb to the top of a rock wall AT THE FAIR, yes IN PUBLIC. II'm 44 y/o and moving more than I did in my 20s. I've went from a size 4x top to a girls size 16 a 24w pant to a size 2 in adult or a size 16 girls, my hoodie is a boys size 10. From granny panties to cute boy short panties and a 44DDD to a size 34 A, even my feet and fingers are thinner. I eat bet…

Climb a flight of stairs without sweating! No longer have pillows on the tops of my hands and feet! Can see my veins! My collarbones protrude now! My face has a shape, and it's not round! All my old jewelry fits again! I have ankles and knees again! I take the time to look good in the morning now! I'm no longer the fattest person in the room! I can easily fit in a movie theater seat now! I can get up off the couch in one step now! I can polish my toenails without my stomach getting in the way! Nobody stares at me…

So I make it thru the xray machine and stand on the mat where they pat you down. The TSA agent kept asking me what I had in my front pocket while jabbing me with her finger. I replied...."That would be my hip bone!" The lady standing next to me on her mat busted out laughing!!!!!!

So during my preop phase I was alarmed to find I had shrunk 1 3/4 inches. I'm only 45 but I've had back problems for years. I measured in at 5'2" at a few preop appointments. In my younger years I was 5'3" and 3/4..my fiancé chalked it up to my bad posture but I knew it had a lot to do with my osteoarthritis in my back. But get this...I now measure 5'3"!!! I've had coworkers tell me I walk with much more confidence and "stand taller" now but I thought they were just using a figure of speech. It's true though! I thought this was weird and kind of cool so I just had to share! Another plus is it lowered my BMI!

Just bought my first size 12 since I was in high school. I'm down 50 lbs. I'm so excited about the change in clothes size.

WEll, I am 3.5 weeks post op and I am down 50 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!the 50 is counting the prior weeks liquid diet. So 4.5 weeks and 50 lbs. Could not be happier. It is a lot but I started out at 386 so I had quite a bit to lose than most so it is coming off faster at first. Why you ask is this a huge milestone???? Because I want to lose 200 total. So I am 1/4 of the way there. I want to stop at 186 ish because I am 6 foot tall. Saw a neat idea on pinterest by the way. Take 2vases and in one put the amount u want to lose and the other empty and transfer over as you lose it, super cheap and a good motivation

Hey sleevers I'm a month past my 1 year Surgiversary and couldn't be happier right now.... 350lbs starting weight last July 20th and now weighed today at 230 (fluctuating between 227-233)! I've got to admit that my eating is pretty crappy lately and getting to comfortable and always pushing my limits when I eat... (stuffed/cold sweats) and its with junk.... Also can find the motivation to get off my butt and start working out... Would like to hear from everyone that has been in my shoes and what have you done to fix it!!! Thanks everyone ????

My curiosity got the best of me and I broke my own rule about the scale. I weighed today and not on next Tuesday like I usually do. I'm glad I did, two pounds off since last Tuesday bringing my total loss since surgery on 4-25-12 to 48 pounds. Losing very slowly but hoping this is a good thing in the long run. Also have dropped my insulin to 5 u q am and 10 u q pm down from 25 units in am and pm. Am on Metformin same dose as before but no Dylipizide as of now either. I would have posted on my ticker thingy but once again it isn't working and I don't have time to fool with it anymore. They are telling me a t work to buy new clothes but that aint happening until they fall…

I still consider myself a success story. I had my surgery two years ago (7/13/2010) and I have maintained a weight loss of about 120 pounds. I look and feel better than I have in my entire adult life. I am writing today because I want to keep it a success story while I still can. Here's the thing. I went to my surgeon for a check up yesterday and his first words were, "OK, now it's your be careful time." I gained 2 pounds since my check-up last year. His concern is that once the weight loss stops, your body re-sets itself to a new equilibrium and it is easy to re-gain weight. Am I surprised that I gained weight? Hell no. I am surprised that I didn't gain more.…

So my surgery is tomorrow and I can't sleep. This pre op diet I lost pver 20 pounds and I feel great. Makes me wonder if I ever truly put my heart onto losing weight before. I'm 380 pounds now and would like to lose 150+. Since today I have had no solid foods at all maybe thats whats scareing me. I'm afraid that I'm not gonna want to eat ever after the surgery. Plus me wife and I dont cook. I see these ideas online and I think I cant make that. On time I know what I want to eat just not for the first several months. Ugh
