  2. Thannk you all for your wonderful responses. It is hard being stuck especially for a long time, I'm just glad i'm losing again. Went out last night and my clothes are just getting bagger and bagger. Found a top that I could barely get into when I bought is and now it's loose. My favorite stretch pants are loose now too. Had someone I han't seen in a long time tell me wow you look great. He knew I had the surgery but we had only spoken on facebook and had not seen each other in almost a year. That felt really good. Think my other half is starting to get a bit jealous now. hehe

  6. Well after sweating it out for a few weeks with no loss at all I seemed to have gone from 203 last week to 196 this morning. Not sure what happened unless I am retaining fluids bad. It is hot and humid down here and I have always retained in the summer, my feet have been killing me for weeks now, seems they feel the fluid overload the worse even if they don't look that bad. Anyway I am FINALLY in the hundreds now. 55 down and hopefully 71 to go to 125 and even if I don't get that far I will settle for the 130's to 140's. Woot!!!!
  7. Wow what a good day to be sleeved. Why you ask? It's my birthday. Good luck to you and to all September sleevers. I had mine done on April 25th this year. Been some ups and downs but to see the weight come off even if it is slow is a cool thing.

  9. My curiosity got the best of me and I broke my own rule about the scale. I weighed today and not on next Tuesday like I usually do. I'm glad I did, two pounds off since last Tuesday bringing my total loss since surgery on 4-25-12 to 48 pounds. Losing very slowly but hoping this is a good thing in the long run. Also have dropped my insulin to 5 u q am and 10 u q pm down from 25 units in am and pm. Am on Metformin same dose as before but no Dylipizide as of now either. I would have posted on my ticker thingy but once again it isn't working and I don't have time to fool with it anymore. They are telling me a t work to buy new clothes but that aint happening until they fall off me. Tops are now way to big but pants are just baggy not falling off yet. Still having bigtime issues with food not going down right but I will deal with it as I can. SOme days are worse than others but they keep putting me off about getting scoped to see whats causing it. The PA says it's me and since I see her and not the doctor everytime I go in I guess I will never get to tell him what's going on. Amyway just wanted to check in. Thanks Have a good day. Fixing to storm here so I'm outta here.
  10. Sounds good to me
  11. I did with no problem. Keep doing everything like there is no change happening or you may have to start again.
  12. My new insurance was the same way. My surgeon had to write them a letter explaining why the sleeve was needed and it worked. First time they always deny it and tell you bypass or band. Its a game and you have to play it to get what you want. Don't give up. Play the stupid game. I have worked in healthcare for over 25 years and have seen the changes to patient oriented services to the demi gods deciding who gets whats and it sucks. Heres something most don't know, the people making those decisions aren't even qualified to make them. They are just people off the streets hired into the positions, no medical knowledge or experience whatsoever. Damned scary. Insist on the sleeve I did and I would not have had the surgery if I couldn't have gotten it.
  13. Happy birthday hope its a great one

  15. Well fortunately I no longer get that time of the month. One good thing about being "older" It's just so frustrating for me. Most of the people who knew about the surgery gave me a hard time about it and now I get to hear "Well how much have you lost this week?, with a anarky attitude all the time. Of course another girl at work who had the surgery is moving right along down the scale and they are all cooing over her so I guess I'm not measuring up to her but she had a plication AND a band done at the same time. Should I adjust some part of the diet? I know to little of carbs can stall you and I am keeping them way low. Can the heat be playing a part? I do take a diuertic everyday so I wouldn't think it would be water weight and if it is there is something else going on. It sucks to work in health care and not having anyone to discuss this with. The surgeons office can't answer me and I don't see my primary til September again and he just jokes around and wants to discuss work (he has patients where I work). I do have a "friend" who has a masters in nutrition but we aren't close by any means and its a male so I'm not sure I would be comfortable talking to him. I need this to work I need to get off the meds I am on. Insulin made me gain 70 pounds so it is imparative for me to get off it ASAP, plus I want to be healthy.
  16. How in the hell do you gain three pounds overnight? I had a two week stall and finally droped four pounds when I weighed on Tuesday morning (yes I got on the scales twice to make sure I read it right), so this morning I thought maybe check this one more time since the last two weeks were horrible with no loss at all. Yesterday I had a protein shake, 1/2 of a pork chop maybe a quarter cup, 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and Mousaka for dinner, maybe 8 oz and yest it was to much had the worst pain I have ever felt in my life andmy GERD kicked in real good, but I hadn't had it in forever and I love eggplant. I had three sugar free ice pops throughout the day as well. I did not get in all my water though because of the pain asscoiated with dinner. I have been fanatical about what I have been eating and I walk almost every single day no matter what, last night was not my usual walk but up and down the street on the local main st of town. Its about a quarter mile from one end to the other and I made sure to get as many trips up and down the road as possible before the rains came. Its bad enough to be losing so slow but now it seems that I am doing something wrong or I am just doomed to be a fat cow forever at this point. Anyone else ever have this happen?
  17. The Eas is good. They have another chocolate flavor that tastes better than the fudge one and some stores now carry a cafe carmel I believe its called and its good too. The strawberry is better than the vanilla also. The Atkins ones started making me sick after while but I have had no problems with EAS at all. Also have Body Fortress and the Chocolate Peanut Butter and the Vanilla are good if you do shakes out of them. I am trying the Toranis sugar free syrups out in them too, so far so good.

MIo and the Wally WOrld brand are hreat. Not so big on the Blueberry Lemonade or the Wally Sweet Tea flavors. I have two new bottles of the Blueberry I would trade if anyone wants to.
