One-Derland!

I just wanted to make this a topic for people to come to and tell what the weighed before surgery, how long it took them to loose how much, and when they finally made it to Onederland!!! Here's my info so far:

I had my surgery on January 11th, 2012

I weighed 247 on the beginning of my journey!

as of March 18th, 2012 (just a little over 2 months out)

I've lost 49 lbs

and I've finally made it to Onederland on March 16th, 2012

  • I started at about the same point (294) on March 12. Now at 259 and dropping to 180 before I am done... Good luck to you!

Can you guys post your height too? Just gives a better frame of reference for us newbies. Thanks!

5' 9" Used to be about a foot taller but that stuff about shrinking with age - not a rumor! ;)

Im 5'6" started off at 285 and had my surgery on 5/18/2011. 2 days will be my year and I'm currently 173! It is a long road with ups and downs, but it was all worth it! I feel great!

I'm 5'1.5 and I now weigh 183!

Congratulations Vamp!! So glad to hear you got over the plateau. I know how frustrating that can be!

Panda have no fear I've been at a couple plateaus and it's annoying but it's worth it because I find that once the plateau is done for I start loosing faster! I normally loose about 5-6 lbs a week but during a plateau I only loose 1-2 lbs a week, but I'm happy with any weight loss because before surgery I could barely loose 5 lbs. in a month!

Same for me Panda. I always tell folks that sometimes you lose quickly, sometimes slowly and sometimes not at all. As long as you stay focused on following the protocol, you will succeed. Congratulations!!

Wow - great, great job Maria!! I love success stories. Does it feel like the year went by in a blur? I'm just amazed how fast the time has gone by since I started this journey. Amazing.

Thank you! It did go by very quickly! I remember at first when I was recovering and just starting to eat, the days were so long!! But now I'm basically back to normal, except the portions I eat are still small, of coarse!
