  10. You are both doing exactly what you should be doing..nothing!! As long as you drink and get up and walk around for a bit every hour or so, your doing good! To be honest I felt like crap (exhausted) for up to 8 weeks!! I had all I could do to get out of my own way!! It will get better trust me! For now remember, your body has and is going through some major changes!!!

  14. I truly believe those that aren't supportive are jealous! They don't know us any other way but being "big". I honestly wouldn't give a crap what people think. It's your life and your decision. Yes it's nice to have the support but if they can't give it to you- it should make you question their friendship. A true friend doesn't judge and will ALWAYS support you! You have plenty of support on here and hopefully some in the "real world" (meaning not online lol). Next time they say something to you- I would just thank them for their opinion and just let them know nicely that from now on if they cant support you, you would like them to keep their comments and "advice" to themselves! DO NOT BE ASHAMED of what you are doing. Those that have never been through this have NO CLUE how hard it is!! Be strong and stick up for yourself!!!
  15. I wasn't even a week out! Surgery wasn't painful for me at all- so I was ready to rock-n-roll!! Lol. I'd say go for it- worst case senerio make him do all the work! Either way you make out in the deal
  16. 2 lbs gone this week!! I've finally hit 60lbs! It's about time!
  17. Welcome to the boards!! I'm sure we will all be asking you a ton of questions. Thank you in advance My name is Kelly from Central NY, 35 years old. Had the gastric bypass on March 30th.
  18. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I have zero to no energy for almost 2 months, if not a little longer! Your body just went through a HUGE change! Just do what you can- still exercise even if it's just a couple of minutes. Make sure your taking your vitamins, water and protein. The fatigue is normal- don't get frustrated ...this to shall pass!
  19. Ok warning this is a STUPID QUESTION but I think I need some clarification. What exactly is dumping? Without being to blunt, I thought it was after you eat something, it immediately goes through you and your on the toilet. However, somethings I've read I'm not so sure that is exactl what it is...I think it's part of it but is there more?? Sorry to be so ignorant....
  20. By being on this site..one thing I have noticed is every single one of us has and will go through this. You are not alone in this. I couldn't agree more, it is very frustrating. However, it is part of the process. I am 17 weeks post-op and I can tell you on my journey, every couple of weeks I would experience this. When I went to my 3 month check up my doctor told me it could take the next six months to lose the remainder of the weight I want/need to lose. Remember this weight didn't come on over night so it isnt going to come off over night. Keep following your program, drink, eat, exercise and you'll break through this plateau!! Your doin great don't get frustrated now! Keep your chin up
