Today I was very excited I got out of the shower and the towel touched around my body like it went all the way around and touched the other side LOL. AND I bent at the waist and tied my shoes ( I used to have to put my foot up on something to tie them or leave them so loose I could slip them on tied. I am very excited! This sums it up for me...............................

Something really significant happened at lunch today at work. I was eating my half of a tuna sandwich and chatting with my colleagues when another colleague came into the kitchen with leftovers from a late St. Patrick’s Day celebration happening somewhere else on the floor. I’m not a big corned beef and cabbage fan so that was not a temptation, but the big crockpot full of mac and cheese….well that’s a horse of a different color. Except that this time, when asked if I wanted any, I was able almost automatically, to say thanks but no thanks. And it wasn’t to look good in front of my friends…it was understanding that the satisfaction of losing weight was more important than t…

Yep. It happened. By far, my best NSV so far. I was pulled over today for failure to use my turn signal. I handed him my info and he stood there looking confused but didn't say anything. (This happens a LOT when people see my license which was at my highest weight) he walks back to his car without saying a word and a couple mins later another patrol car pulls up. They both get out, talk for a minute and walk over to my car....long story short, they thought I provided 'false identication to a police officer' I explained that I have recently lost about 80 pounds and dyed my hair. Luckily I had my passport in my glove box, and the photo was taken a out half way to goal. …

It's official!....I no longer need to shop at Lane Bryant! I was in Nordstrom Rack today with a friend and where do I head as soon as I walk in the door - PLUS SIZES! And then I picked out about 10 tops in a 1x...my friend kept telling me - you are NOT a plus size anymore! But in my mind I still am (was) and I took the clothes to the dressing room. YEP - they were all too big! And shockingly not just by a little! I was shocked and very surprised! Do you mean to tell me that I can go back to looking and shopping in "regular" stores! Talk about a great day and incredible NSV!!!!! Wwwoooooooo-hooooooooo!

If it is really too much I will blush quietly and decline to answer, lol. PS - yes I know how to spell...but I can't correct the topic title...

One of my co workers took this pic last week at my birthday celebration... as you see they found me the smallest cake in the world. But when I looked at the picture I noticed there really is a space between my legs which I have seen before but seeing it in a casual pic is pretty eye opening. I know I have lost alot of weight... but as crazy as it sounds... sometimes I cannot wrap my head around it and still feel like the biggest girl in the room. Started at 280 lbs. Lost 82 lbs. I regained 47 lbs after a year, then lost it by following Weight Watchers and walking usually 3 miles/day. I still feel restriction, but head hunger and the ability to overeat soft calorific foods makes it difficult. The good news is my weight has been stable for years. For the first time in my life, I don't have to buy new clothes every season. Don't get a lap band unless you're willing to do the work.

I've had clothes I bought a while back I had planned to get in to, but never did, we're talking 2-3 years ago time frame. I bought some really nice Ralph Lauren shirts, and some boot cut jeans, not the relaxed boot cut either, wife loves my butt in them. I also had an awesome Magellan button down shirt I got on clearance at Bass Pro, always wanted to wear the shirt on the lake fishing but could never fit in to it. Today I was curious. I started with the jeans. Size 42. I sat on the bed and slid one leg in, good so far, the other, and then all the way up. I have room in them. They're now b…

  25. Hi All, I didn't really come back to this forum after I got rolling with my band. I want to report that I have lost a total of 148 lbs and in 20 days I will hit the one year mark. Things have been great. I haven't had a fill in months because I no longer have insurance and I am underemployed. However I am still doing great. Do you guys have questions for me? I'm not really even sure what to say about my experience other than I did exactly what I was told by the nutritionist. 29. I was recently approved for surgery on April 2, 2013. I completed me pre-op testing which included an upper GI. The upper GI revealed transient pylorospasm. To sum this up it means that your stomach cannot empty as designed, due to a thickened valve. This causes abdominal pain and vomiting. I'm freaking out because I was amped to have my surgery on April 2 but instead I will be getting scoped! I pray that this pylorospasm is mild and surgery will occur ASAP. ****Thanks in advance for your support.

So, I had a little break up with my scale and as of January 1, 2013, I have been avoiding it and measuring success on different levels. I do not plan to use the scale as a measuring tool until I hit my 1 year on April 24th. So, I started training for a 5k. I am now up to jogging 20 minutes straight. While I may not be the fastest or the best looking runner, it is an accomplish. Working on endurance right now, then speed. Haven't picked an actual race yet, but I will do this! Tonight, while waiting for my one basset to finish his dinner so I could let the puppy out of her cage, I was messing around and stretching and realized I can bend over and touch my toes! Oh …

I know that title seems really strange...but the other day I stopped by a dept. store and realized that I had "crossed over" from the larger women's sizes to the "regular" women's sizes. When I started this journey I wore a size 26W...I was able to put on a pair of capri pants in a size XL (and was still able to breathe). I still need a 1x top...but my bra size has also gone down 2 sizes. I decided to post here because when I tried to tell my husband about this amazing feat he just ignored me. I know all you girls understand and wanted to Celebrate with those who understand that a 10 size difference is HUGE. Stepping off my pedistal now...

Been doing (eeer, attempting) full liquids for the last 7 days. Today was better than expected. The SF Italian Ice are super yummy. Also made some loose leaf tea, had some broth, water, cup of apple juice, and I'm allowed black coffee with sugar substitute. Honestly had a lot of energy. Felt good. I'm so excited!!! I was banded on 7/30/12 and have come down from 378 to 259 since than. I have been reluctant to get on this forum because I have not had any sticking or any of the issues I read about here. I had one fill just because I was curious and I am at 3.8 with a 15 band. Did not notice any difference after the fill. I am religious in logging in on my fitness pal and try to stay under 1,200 calories. I don't measure my food, just guess on it, except cereal in the morning, Kashi go lean with added blueberries. I am thinking of having a fill in May to see the impact. I don't want to gain anything because I feel so much better.
