6 months since surgery almost at my goal weight. Sept 26, 2012 - 209lbs , today I weigh 135 lbs , only 15 lbs away from my goal weight of 120, which the dr says I should be at. All my friends & family think I should stop losing now. What do you think? Should I listen to my Dr & drop down to 120? Day of surgery Me now 3/23/12 @ at a theme party dressed as Brett Michaels girlfriend from Rock of Love, lol

Feeling great! Loss is slowing but I only have 15lbs to goal. Here's a current pic, morning after surgery pic, and last July right before pre op liquid diet. I lost 31 pre op and am down 124 lbs total. I've been up and down 173-176 most of the month. It's my fault. Lack of exercise and some poor choices. It definitely getting harder but I will get there!

This may sound corny but I actually discovered I have knuckles yesterday! Before they were just little 'bumps' that you could bearly see when I made a fist, but now I can actually see the bones! Can this be classified as a small accoplishment? I think it does LOL:)

Right at this moment I don't have a before picture readily available- I avoided cameras like the plague pre-surgery. But here is my 1st post-surgery picture taken yesterday. I am down a total of 88 lbs combining 30 lbs pre-surgery and 58 lbs post surgery. Best thing I have ever done. I will post a pre-surgery photo as soon as I can! -Kendra

I'm so excited to announce that my date is April 9th. I had a setback after my Upper GI, so I had to have an EGD! The EGD was successful hence my new surgery date! My best friend will be getting sleeved on April 11th. I'm. so glad we decided to begin this journey together. It's so much easier when you have someone who can relate to what you're going through! This site has been a tremendous help! I give my warmest regards to all my fellow sleevers!

I was banded on November 16, 2011. I started out at 274 and now I am at 223, making my loss in 11 months only 51 pounds. Why am I not losing as fast?!? I follow the diet, get in my protein, get in my workout...I just don't get it! I thought I'd be in "onederland" by my bandaversary... guess not! :'( Anybody else have slow results?

I thought it might be fun to start a thread to make you laugh. I don't know about everyone else, but I need a daily dose of laughter and if its about weight loss it helps keep things in perspective (or not).

So i'll be 2 YEARS OUT July 2013 and i want to be under my all time low... !!! Wow!!!!!!! It's been a long time since i've been on here. I was sleeved July 2011. I've lost over 100 lbs and i feel great! I've been maintaining my loss through all my ups and downs (divorce, death in fam etc..). I'm booked and paid up to have a tummy tuck and some lipo. And if i still need it in a few months i'll have an arm lift and yes a thigh lift... since my weight has been stable for quite some time now ... Still hard to believe i was ever a size 22 and my waist measured 51 in... when i look back over my pictures from the past, at the time of the pic didn't th…

Here I am one Easter later and 100 pounds down. I am also off my diabetes and high blood pressure meds. This week has been the first time since my VSG that I've struggled with my eating. I take this as an opportunity that life has its ups and downs, this is just a blip in the big scheme of things, reminder that food will be a challenge for me and I will continue to need to put a lot of focus towards my health and happiness. Nonetheless I am determined to continue my progress towards better health and long life! I am extremely thankful for the support on this journey so far. This board and my friends are a godsend! My daughter and I are headed to China in Decembe…

Just over 6 mths (banded Sept 26/12) down 56 pounds and I played tennis with my husband and daughters while we were on our spring break holiday in Fairmont, BC!! I was running back and forth...yes running lol I couldn't believe it! Smacking or trying to smack the ball back and forth it was so much fun I was sad when our hour was up on the court!! Can't wait to do it again:) never thought I'd be able to say that I was running lol still have a ways to go but these little successes make it so much more believable that it really is possible :0)

Happy Easter to all my banded brothers and sisters.. It is a beautiful, sunny and warm day here in North Florida.. I am so lucky to be able to report that I rode my horse today.. It has been over a year since I rode.. I got to the point that I was too heavy to get in the saddle.. then I worried about my poor horse lugging me around.. after losing 30 lbs since my surgery on January 15, 2013 I have the energy and confidence to start riding again... I had about lost all hope of ever being able to pursue my favorite pastime again.. Today we will have a family dinner to celebrate Easter and I plan to stick to my plan, 3 oz protein (including a deviled egg) and no fattening bre…

Well just wanted to give an up date. I've lost 78 pounds in 9 months which is just great. I'm so happy and I know I'm looking a lot better as my Heath is also. I think I've got another 40 to 50 pounds to go but I feel I'm going to make it. To all u newbies its a hard confusing upsetting and frustrating journey. But u will make as long as u do as dr says. Good luck to all u banders we can do it.

Has anyone had this done instead of the sleeve? If so what were the results? Is it working well? Complications? I've been doing a bit of research and am torn between the two.

I am trying to find all the NSV I can find. I did a little blog about the ones I have seen so far. And I looked back over my blogs and I realized I blogged about the day we went to the Third Day Concert (almost a year ago) and the shirt I wanted to wear didn't fit. Fast forward to today and I am wearing that shirt..the one that didn't fit!!! Hopefully the picture will attach. The pic on the left was last year and it's a picture of the Concert picture...but you get the idea. The one on the right is today. Not a before and after, but definitely a before and during!! I still have a ways to go but I can definitely see the progress!!

Two of my mini goals are to lose 50 lbs and to have less than 100 to lose. As of this morning, I have lost 51 pounds and I have 98 to go! I'm really excited! I am 9 weeks out from surgery and it was the best decision I've ever made. I can't wait to lose the rest of my weight! :-)

Well on a lark today I got a pair on jeans out my wife bought for me a couple months ago and tried them on, size 36, and by god they fit, really well. I have no memory of being in a 30something pant since my childhood. Guess im going to edit out all the loose fitting 40's now. Happy Easter everyone.

Huge NSV today!! I got a new job at one of my favorite jewelry stores (yay!!) and the manager said my work wardrobe was too boring. I needed more personality (moi?? Gasp!!). Excuse to go SHOPPING! I usually hate shopping. There are no plus size stores in my town and I usually have to go 45 minutes away to find stylish clothes. I decided to try my luck in the plus size section at target to see if I could find anything that didn't resemble a sack. EVERYTHING THERE WAS TOO BIG ON ME! I ventured to the regular sizes and tried on some really cute stuff in XXL and it all fit!!!!!!! I even got some stuff in XL!! It was the greatest feeling ever! I was in tears! I'm so excited…

It's been 6 months since surgery. I'm down 50 lbs and I have never been so happy! Even though its been a slower process the only regret I have is that I did not do this surgery sooner! I thank God daily for giving me strength and always being by my side through this process. I also am up to running 6 miles. Loving life❤

I was banded on 4/3/12. My largest weight was 291. Today, I weigh 227 for a total lost of 64 pounds. One of my coworkers told me last week "you look like a different person". I didn't think my looks change that much. I personally didn't see a big change. Well, yesterday that coworker bought in an old picture of me from our work picnic from 6/2011. I didn't take many photos of me back then so I don't have a lot for comparison. OMG, I was in total SHOCK!!!!! I looked like a totally different person. I really needed to see that. That really encouraged me. I don't ever ever ever what to be that size again. I am soooo happy with my decision to have the Lap band. It does work…

I did not get fat (obese) because I would occasionally enjoy a slice of pie or chocolate cake....I got fat because I would finish off the entire cake myself...... Leftovers in the fridge did not have a chance when I was around.... The same holds true for everything I ate...it was not WHAT I ate, per say, it was HOW much I ate.... I still get Chinese take out, once a week....the portion they give is large enough for 4 people! I used to eat the entire thing myself! Pizza!...no exaggeration, I would eat an entire large pie at one sitting..... When I try to add up what I used to eat within any 24 hour period...it boggles my mind! How can ANYBODY possibly eat that much?…

I was sleeved on feb 11 and so far I have lost 21 lbs. I am 5'6 and weighed 205 lbs when I went in for surgery. Does that sound like decent weight loss? I feel like I should be losing more and it's coming off slow.
