6 months since surgery

6 months since surgery almost at my goal weight. Sept 26, 2012 - 209lbs , today I weigh 135 lbs , only 15 lbs away from my goal weight of 120, which the dr says I should be at. All my friends & family think I should stop losing now. What do you think? Should I listen to my Dr & drop down to 120?

Day of surgery

Me now 3/23/12 @ at a theme party dressed as Brett Michaels girlfriend from Rock of Love, lol

Thanks everyone. I have reached stalls , like every 2-3 weeks I'm at a stall. When this happens I try my best to lower my calories & exercise more. Problem with that is that I'm not getting enough

I would say, how do you feel? Do you feel pretty good & comfortable at your current weight, or do you feel like you would feel better at your doctor's recommended weight? I think it's up to you

I had my surgery October 4th. My pre-op weight was 284 now I am 224. My doctor wants me to go down to 180. I also have reached a plateau and am not losing I think this month only about 2-4 pounds. I joined a gym last week and worked out 4 times that week. I have started walking in hopes that I will soon see some results. I go back to see my physician in two weeks, he wanted me to be weighing 210 when I come for my visit. I am afraid I won't be able to do that unless I stop eatting the little bit that I am currently eating. I need a jump start.

Congratulations, you look great! Thanks for sharing your success.

Oh my gosh, girl you are a brick house!!! ! You look fabulous!!!you should be so proud. I just had my drain removed today, I am so glad I did not know what to expect when they said I am going to pull it one time. lol (Blast from the past. )

U look great. Congratulations. Did u have any cosmetic surgery or did your skin just bounce back naturally?

No cosmetic surgery yet, my skin is loose & I hate it. I think I have at least 3-5 lbs of loose skin on my lower abdomen , I have loose skin on my inner thighs, & loose skin on my arms, gross. My boobs are gross & sagging , definitely need a boob job, went from a 42 D to a 38 B :(

Very glad to have lost the weight, but now have to try to workout & sculpt this skin or save money for cosmetic surgery . Glad to have a supportive husband who doesn't care either way . But I want it done. Thanks for the compliment :)

You look great, how strict we're you with your postopt diet, I'm struggling and only two weeks out...I feel ok about my 15lbs loss but it seems like nothing compared to others....I'm still on thick soups but starting to get hungry.....to manage I would have a popsticle or Gatorade.....a friend of mine that had his done in 2010 and pretty much loss 100lbs in 4 mths told me to stay on broths longer....not sure if I can do that

Im just wondering when the hell I'll start to feel restricted? I feel like if it wasn't for the acid reflux I could eat all of what I have in front of me...

I was stuck to the rules for the first 2 months & slowly lost the weight , losing between 2-4 lbs a week . It really did suck staying on liquids & puréed food, but worth it . You can do it, it will get easier & you'll get to eat more soon enough. If anything , try to keep yourself occupied & out of the house. That way your too busy to eat, lol. Good luck :)

I had acid reflux the first month & OMG it was horrible. That has passed , but I feel it really helped me not to eat as much & my body got use to it. Now if I over eat , I just get full, no acid reflux & I stop eating . Your body will adjust soon enough , just remember to follow the guidelines your dr gave you & you should do fine. It gets easier as the months go by :)
