  3. Hello Pkchop... This is a great site for advice and support from successful bandsters and even some who weren't as successful. It is a lot of great information available to you on this sight and it will help you along the way. I like some of the photos as well, sometimes seeing somebody's progress is helpful. Good Luck!

  5. Good Luck... I think you will be fine since you are between 35-40 with so many of the comorbidities.
  6. Hello Moorecr and Pkchop... Congrats on getting your date for surgery set. Everyone is not always on board with you but it is good to have some that are supportive. I believe once you start losing weight and moving forward with a healthier lifestyle, the others will jump aboard. Lapband is a lot safer than the other weight loss surgeries, so that is a positive to share with your families. Good Luck.

  13. Hey Lori Jo... I know first hand what you mean. If it can happen, it usually happens to me. I went to the ER 3 weeks after surgery when I woke up not being able to breathe well, Pulmonary Embolisms. I am now on Coumadin for a year and wish it was over already. Well good luck with the rest of your journey.
  14. Your journey starts today, Good Luck...
  15. Im 370 and I just left the salon on Tuesday. I learned to ignore the stares if they stare or I just stare back and they would usually just turn their heads. At 270, I think you'd be fine to go back to the salon with no problem with the chair. Go for it!!!!
  16. Hopefully everything will turn out to be temporary and then you can move forward. Good Luck....
  17. When you start to lose weight, your hubby will jump on board. Sorry that you all going thru all the emotions this morning but I believe that you will be fine. Everything will work out! I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Good Luck.
  18. Way to go!!! Hopefully I can do the same in the next 12-18 months of fills and gym work.
