Weight loss better than expected

I was banded on 7/30/12 and have come down from 378 to 259 since than. I have been reluctant to get on this forum because I have not had any sticking or any of the issues I read about here. I had one fill just because I was curious and I am at 3.8 with a 15 band. Did not notice any difference after the fill. I am religious in logging in on my fitness pal and try to stay under 1,200 calories. I don't measure my food, just guess on it, except cereal in the morning, Kashi go lean with added blueberries. I am thinking of having a fill in May to see the impact. I don't want to gain anything because I feel so much better.

Congratulations on your success! You've done simply amazing!

Btw, but all of us get stuck and have issues. It's actually extremely rare that I get stuck and I can eat anything.

Best wishes!

your post is a wonderful one..another success story....great job.......and i hope newbies/prebies read this and understand what happens if you just follow the lap band instructions...thanks for sharing.

This is something that most people don't understand on forums, that many people only post the negative so that the experience looks skewed. Mike, not only are you welcome here, you are and the others like you are needed to help people understand the band journey properly. :)

BTW, congratulations on the loss, keep up the good work.

Congrats on your losses Mike!

Mike your success is awesome. I had my surgery two weeks after you and lost 50lbs but hit a plateau. I hope that I will beat this plateau and start to lose again because I want be successful just like you. Good luck with the rest of your journey.
