Wondering what products you have ordered off here and liked or disliked? I ordered the Amaretto Cappuccino and love it! However, didn't care for Blueberry pancakes so much. Looking to try out a few more products. So wondering what you may have enjoyed from here? Thanks![emoji4]

I'm nine weeks out and already so low carb that I've been reading a book about Atkins and thinking of starting the induction phase tomorrow. Just thinking about mixing things up a bit. I can do low carb Protein shakes (Jay Robb + unsweetened almond milk) so I'm really only talking about changing dinner and Snacks at this point. Is anybody doing Atkins? If so, how's it going? Do you have any advice? Anybody gotten guidance from their NUT about it? Thanks!

I wanted McDonald's today. I'm almost 4 months post op and it is allowed, but it's been many months since I've had fast food. I ordered 1 cheeseburger and medium fries. I also asked for the McDonald's Nutrition Facts which is a free and very handy guide to all the nutrition for all the food they serve. It breaks down each item on the menu and gives you total fat, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, sodium, total carbs, sugar, and most important Protein all in grams. It of course also gives you calories, but I don't look at calories anymore. It's all about how much protein I intake and watch how much fat too. Maybe some of you already know about this guide, but I'm rea…

this is so strange. I'm 5.5 weeks out and lost just under 40 pounds. I was eating about 4 oz per meal as I began my soft food diet last week. I ate slowly and definitely got that feeling of when was full and often didn't finish my meal or take a bit longer to finish it. Yesterday, I ate a Greek yogurt and realized I ate 5oz with no problems. No full feeling. huh Today, all my meals have been the same way. Even drinking Water. That funny feeling in my stomach to tell me I'm full is gone. If I hadn't measured out my portion, I probably could have eaten more? I also noticed that I would only be able to finish half a small cup of coffee and today and I co…

I have a few autoimmune diseases as well as gastroparesis. I was told before my surgery that I would get better if I proceeded. Since, I am unable to eat or drink anything without vomiting. I've now learned from one doctor that I should have NEVER had the surgery with my gastroparesis. Anyone else with gastroparesis? How are you able to manage your symptoms? So I am potentially going to be scheduled for the Gastric Bypass procedure for the month of March. I have been told that with any of the procedures that there are risks of course, including risks for complications. I know each person is different, but is there anyway to say that with strict discipline and strict paying attention to doctor's orders post-op, and with strict discipline/strict paying attention to the nutritionist's guidelines, is there any true way to strategize post-op life so that complications never come up? I understand that "anything can happen", but as weird as it is for me to ask this, I would also like to think that it is possible to strategize the…

I am 60 days post op. I have lost 30 lbs overall which is great but i have been stalled for 2 weeks twice. Why these long stalls so early on? I am basically still on liquids since i have had to have 3 dilations. I am getting between 60 and 80 oz of liquid a day and between 60 and 90 grams of Protein. I have even added walking a few times a week. Any ideas to help me lose faster? Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App

Hi everyone! I'm 4.5 months post-op sleeve and feel amazing. Some of the things that continue to amaze me lately are trying on clothes and having to double check the size...could that really be a 10?? Also doing things out all day and rarely feeling tired. What a gift! If only I had done this years ago!! I'm about 30 lbs from goal, and feel confident I'll get there sometime this summer. Eating is getting a tiny bit easier. I can now eat 3 oz at a time without too much trouble. I am able to enjoy quite a variety of vegetables and salads now, which I had really missed the first 4 months. My diet is mainly meats and fish, leafy greens, nuts, seeds, yogurt and a va…

So....what's up with this? I'm 2 1/2 months post-op (surgery on 12/7) For the past week, every time I eat, within about 15 minutes I have LEFT upper quadrant pain, just under my rib cage. Very sharp "stabbing" type of pain. Today it is significantly worse than it has been, so I put a call into my surgeon. In the meantime I thought I'd ask here. Google is NOT my friend, I already tried that. Anyone here experience something similar?

Hi all....I've just joined this group and have so many questions. I've considered surgery for so long but have never gotten the courage to go thru with it. However, I'm to the point now I just feel I really need to do this for my health. Years ago I would have done it just to look better, but I'm not even so concerned about that as much anymore (in my 60's)..but I feel my health has deteriorated due to weight issues and I just feel like every day I'm getting closer to having the big one if I don't lose some weight soon (appr 110# overwt)...As a side note, my spouse is probably 125# overweight, so he could use the surgery as well, but would never consider it or even try to…

Hi all! I'm 9 days post sleeving and I am trying to make a concerted effort to get out walking every day, but I was wondering about how far/long I should be walking at this stage in the game. They advanced me to pureed/soft and now almost wanting you go back to full liquids to continue the nice weight loss. Has this happened to any other sleevers??? My surgery was Jan 30th. just worries me that it's not gonna come off and I won't reach my goal!

Hey all! I had surgery 2/8. I lost 2 lb a day for first 7 days. Now I have only lost 2 in last 4 days.at my post op appt at 10 days- they removed my drain and then told me I am clear for all exercise and to start introducing puréed foods as tolerated. It was super Earlier than I expected. I am frustrated but more confused. Still only eating roughly 350-450 calories a day and can't believe I am not losing! Sw- 255 Cw- 239 Gw- 150

I'm in day 4 post op and I'm exhausted. I called my doctor office to see if I should start taking my Vitamins but they said not until my post op Dr visit. My pain in my stomach has lessened, my gas has decreased, and I can drink more Protein, but is it normal for me to still be this exhausted? How long did it take you to gain your normal strength back?

DISCLAIMER: I believe that everyone has a right to privacy, and this includes whether or not to tell anyone about having WLS. My question below is merely for debate and discussion. Now that I have that out of the way, I want to pose a question. In situations where someone wants to keep their surgery a "secret," does that support some people's belief that WLS is something to be ashamed of? I'm just curious. I, of course, don't believe that it is anything to be ashamed of, but I could see how someone narrow-minded enough to believe that WLS is a "quick fix" or "easy way out" could leap to that conclusion in that situation. I'm just curious about what others t…

OK, so I'm 10 days post-op (give or take, due to the time difference) and I have to say that my biggest problem so far is the tape that I use to keep the gauze in place that cover my incision sites. Out of the five, 2 are almost healed (one is where they took the stomach out), but the drain wound and two others are slowly making their way there. However, my skin cannot handle the tape. I have red welts all over my abdomen, and they hurt more than the wounds! They itch if I keep the bandages on too long. And today the blistering started. I have weeping bumps and blisters from medical tape! I keep going wider and wider to avoid putting tape on an existing welt, but I'm runn…

Two weeks out and full of regrets. Surgery 1 Gastric Bypass went well.. Surgery 2 for blocked bowel was rough. Finally home and struggling to drink anything. It all tastes bad and creates nausea in spite of my anti-nausea med. I cannot keep the potassium supplements down because of the terrible taste. Any suggestions to keep me from another trip to the hospital with low potassium would be greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPad using BariatricPal
