I'm at post op day 7 and the swelling on my belly is going away. My back pain us constant and the pain at my incisions are hurting more. I went back to work two days ago and that hasn't helped. No fever, redness or drainage from the incisions so it appears they are healing fine. Just so tired of being in pain

I had my sleeve surgery 2/20/17 spent one day in hospital. Home now the first thing I did was weigh myself. I was heavier this morning post surgery. Maybe it because of all the IV fluids and gas pumped in my abdomen? I have cramps how long will this feelings of bloating last?

I've been feeling discouraged lately! The scale hasn't moved in a week and I started work again on Monday. I haven't been able to work out and I just feel really sad. I drink two Protein shakes and 2 meals a day no Snacks and a lot of Water. My NUT said I should hit 800-1000 calories a day and I only hit around 500-600 a day. And I have rheumatoid arthritis and the pain came back this week so painful that's another reason I don't work out... Sorry for the rant/post just needed to write something down. I am really Struggling . I had my sleeve a year ago this past January. At the last weigh in I was down 100 + not sure exactly I know it was over 100. I am so disgusted with myself at this point. I have lost my focus on eating right and feeling good about myself I find myself snacking on my son's Snacks and hiding it from everyone. I find that I can eat almost anything s ok metime a small amount or not. Simetimes I feel that I have stretched out my sleeve. I am under a lot of stress right now. I need some advice on how to get my butt back to focusing on the right things.

6 weeks post op this Monday & I'm losing control here. I am not eating how I'm supposed to be eating. I've had pizza and wings and tonight I've eaten almost 1000 in calories. (3 FULL slices of a medium pizza from Pizza Hut & 6 buffalo wings). Not all at once obviously. But that's what I had today. I'm so upset with myself. SO upset!! I know I'm going to regret telling my surgeon about the food because, I mean, c'mon. Who just has a surgery like this & does something so stupid?!? But I'm deathly scared that I've been stretching my sleeve with how bad I've been eating. It's been ongoing for about a week now. Is it too early to do the pouch reset?! Somebody kick…

I'm having trouble getting my calories up and I'm curious about how people are meeting this calorie range. So can anyone show me a sample menu of how you get in this many calories a day, please? Or the staple foods that you include in your diet to help you reach this amount of calories?

So I am 5 months post-op and am down 75 lbs. My 12 year old daughter had a dance performance over the weekend. I was sitting in the balcony at the theater and remained after the show. The performers gathered on stage and were getting feedback from the director. My daughter was looking around so I stood up and waved to her. She looked confused and pointed to herself and was like "me???" Um...yes you silly... she slightly waved and looked somewhat embarrased. She told me afterwards that she DIDN'T RECOGNIZE IT WAS HER OWN MOTHER! At a distance, she visually saw a much skinnier person and thought it was some random person. Ha!! THAT, my friends was so AWESOME!!!

So yesterday I got OCD with cleaning and super happy to throw away some clothes. I have since made it my goal to slowly replace items that no longer fit, for instance, donate or throw away 4 pairs of clothes, buy 4 pairs of clothes. However, I don't necessarily want this to be a constant (buy all new clothes, only to get rid of em for a smaller size), because I haven't reached my goal. So what are some tips on clothes management?

Hey everyone! I'm wondering how many calories one should be eating about 5 months post-op. Up until now I've been eating around 600-850 calories a day but these past few days I've been eating closer to 900 which is scaring me a bit because I don't know if this is too much. At my 3 month follow up appointment my NUT told me I should be eating 1000-1200 calories which seems way too high for someone only 3 months post op. I'm not doing any exercise routine at all either. I had my surgery on September 19th so I'm almost 5 months post op now, but I don't know when I should start increasing my calories and what would be a good range. I know it'd probably better to not worry t…

Hey everyone , I got sleeved on December 22nd, and I am very happy I am 24 pounds down but in a 3 week time I only lost 2 pounds which is so disappointing and doesn't give me much motivation. I'm scared I am back to where I was prior to surgery( working out dieting and not losing). Also for the past month I have been having severe abdominal pain( to the point where I am crying ) and this happens every couple of days. I have attempted laxatives, suppositories, and enemas, thinking it's just constipation but I feel like it's more than that. I don't know what though. Help so sad , and tired of being in pain and stopping from having a life due to this.

I'm sorry if this is tmi to post but I don't know what to do. I'm going to call my doctor but I want to know if anyone else has experienced this. I woke up this morning to blood in my underwear. It was a huge amount of vaginal discharge. It looked like it could be period blood but I ended my period about a week ago. And it didn't start out light and then get heavier, it looks like it all came out at the same time. I'm newish to the forums so if someone already posted about this is missed it and I'm sorry. But please if you have any idea what's going on please help

I am 5 days post op and having a really hard time. I'm having what feels like extreme heartburn usually happens about 10 seconds after I drink but sometimes happens when I move suddenly (like get up or bend down). Called the doctor Friday he put me on Levsin for spasms and Nexium for acid reflux (which I never chronically had before maybe 4x a year tops). And when I wake up first thing in the morning the nausea is so bad I gag like I'm going to throw up. I take nausea medicine and it goes away within 15-20 min. I'm wondering, did anyone else have all of this? How long did it take to go away? I can't imagine living like this the rest of my life. Please help!

Hi everyone! I need some advice. I had my RnY on 2:8/16 and I am still having head hunger. And not just a little bit either. I thought maybe.... just maybe the head hunger will go away a little afterwards. But I was wrong. it is worse than before. I still want food that I know I can't have. It is a struggle and I'm really depressed. You can only take so much of these protein shakes. And I'm only 1 week out!!!! I can barely drink half a protein shake before my stomach says nope, no more. And yet I want 6 slices of pizza!!! I'm so frustrated. What do I do? Anyone else deal with this? If so, please help!

I'm 10 days post op and was doing great! Got off clear liquid diet Wednesday and have gained 3lbs in 3 days. I've actually increased my exercise. I'm walking at least 1 mile/day (yesterday was 1.5 mikes) and I've been able to increase my Protein to 60grams since getting on full liquid diet. I didn't think this would bother me, but couldn't sleep thinking I'm doing something wrong. Has anyone else experienced this? My calorie intake is still under 500. Well my surgery was May 26, 2016 and day of surgery I weighed 326 and my highest weight two months before surgery was 358. I currently weight 213, and have been fluctuating within the 213-216 lb range for over 3 months now. I am starting to measure all meals again and I still drink Protein powder in my coffee every morning. I eat approximately a cup to 1.5 c of food per meal, an example my Breakfast is coffee and a light and fit yogurt (80 cal), lunch is cheese crackers and lunch meat, dinner a protein about 2 oz or palm of my hand or smaller, a 1/2- 1 cup of veggie and maybe 1/4 cup of a starch like couscous, or rice or no starch at all. I have had major hunger feeling c…

I had my surgery on the 9th of February. Everything went great and I have had no problems other than trying to make sure I get all my protein in for the day. When I woke up this morning though I had a pain in my left side it was kind of a sharp pain. It reminded me of when you have been running and you get a cramp in your side. Not sure what it is and was curious if anyone else has had any similar pain? I know the body goes through a lot with the surgery and I should expect some pain here and there. Just wanting to make sure it's not something I need to worry about.

I was sleeved on 15 Feb. I am still in a lot of pain with the stitch area my stomach came out of, sometimes I can't. Even walk without pain, In the morning I have paracetamol, and a glass of Water or diet cordial (sip, sip, sip). I have more water throughout day, I then have a shake around 11 but then the pain in side stitch is so bad I need to lay down, I then sip on water for the rest of the day with another shake at night (not even a full one;can't fit it in). What are other people eating? I tried a creamed chicken Soup today, I had one mouthful and couldn't do anymore...
