Has anyone experienced calf pain since having mini gastric bypass or RNY. I woke up yesterday with pain in my left calf area and it will not go away. I am 3 and a half months post opp. Thanks for your input.

  • Not to scare you, but this is also what DVTs (blood clots) feel like. If you haven't done anything to pull it and you've done any traveling like long plane trips or car trips where you sat a long time

Let us know how things go! So glad you you got it checked out and you have good doctors. Best wishes!

I'm not at all surprised it's a clot. Sorry it took so long for it to be figured out. This is serious stuff. Hope you feel better.

Just wondering... in the day or two before the pain started, did you fly anywhere? Go on a long car trip? Anything unusual?

It would be nice to know if this is only a complication from the surgery, or a combination of factors.

How long do you stay in the hospital?

No long car trips and did not fly anywhere. After the mgb surgery I was rushed back into a surgery with a bleeding ulcer and they stopped the coumadin shots for blood clots. I do not know if that effected anything. I just found out from the ct scan the clots moved into my lungs. It is the same coumadin treatment for both problems.
