Anyone do the Fast Metabolism Diet to take off regain? How did you handle eating all of the required food? We’re you hungry all of the time & how did you handle that? We (making hubs do it with me too since I’m the one that does all the cooking) are starting our 2nd week today but I am just now realizing how much food a person needs to eat on it!

My dietician shared this app with me. It's called Ate. I'm not the best at tracking all the macros consistently, but this is a quick way to visually track what you've eaten. You just snap a picture, choose whether it is "on path" or "off path" - whatever that looks like for you. If you want to get more detailed, you can click on the picture and add notes and diary-type info like why did you eat, how did it make you feel, etc... There isn't a way to list all the macros, but for those of us who have trouble tracking consistently, this might be a nice alternative for you. It's also got a social component in that you can have "friends" who can see what you've posted and …

I am currently taking the barimelts all in one multivitamin and the barimelts Calcium supplements. in the past I had a kidney stone and I am feeling pain in the same spot and am wondering if either one of these cause kidney stones. I am drinking plenty of water, and was told this is calcium citrate which doesn’t cause kidney stones. does anyone have any knowledge about this? I’m just having incredibly bad back pain and wondering

I am really about to lose it. I had the gastric bypass on October 28th. I lost 31 lb in the first 5 weeks. The last 2 weeks I've actually gained 2 lb, which really frustrates me because I haven't even been eating. Just a couple bites of greek yogurt here and there. I got ulcers after my surgery, so EVERYTHING hurts to go down. I know I don't drink enough water. I've never liked water and I try to drink it but I have a really hard time. I just don't understand how I could actually gain 2 pounds!! Anorexic people never eat, yet they lose weight, so I don't understand the whole, eat to lose weight concept.

Hi everyone! so I bought a ton of bundles from PatchMD for my sister who does not like to swallow vitamins. I'm now able to swallow vitamins and do not need them. Pictured are the ones I have (there are actually 2 vitamin C packs) - but she tried a few and just doesn't want them. Does anyone use these? If you do, I'd be happy to sell them all for $75 plus shipping depending on where you're located! I also might have another iron pack.

Hi there! I’m a little over 2 months post-op (RNY) and figuring out what to eat and how much to eat is still a learning process. I had done nutrisystem in the past before my surgery, but never loved it because I felt the portions were too small and it was expensive having to buy that stuff and everything else to supplement it from the store. But now, I’m wondering if those portions might be perfect, and I wouldn’t have to spend much money at all at the store to supplement the packaged food. I know I’d need to make sure I’m still getting enough protein in, but I’m curious... anyone further post-op than me tried to follow the nutrisystem program?

It’s been a year since my gastric sleeve surgery and I’ve lost almost 90lbs. During COVID 19 quarantine I gained 5 lbs I believe because I wasn’t being as active. I used to go to the YMCA 3 to 4 times a week, but during the quarantine the Y was closed. On a good note I lost the 5 lbs by drinking lots of water and being more active at home. 3 days ago my mother passed away in her sleep (not COVID-19). I’m having a hard time eating food, but no problem eating junk. For example I tried to eat a healthy, grilled turkey burger and could only eat a couple bites, but I had no problem eating some ice cream and peanut M&Ms! I know I’m grieving but I’m also beating myself up becau…

I am many years post-op and, unfortunately, have gained a lot of weight back. I initially lost most of my weight by drinking protein shakes and fruit and vegetable smoothies. However, my metabolism seems to have changed since menopause and I suffer extreme bloating now whenever I drink protein shakes or fruit and vegetable smoothies. I have tried most kinds of over the counter gas medication, as well as, pre and probiotics, peppermint and fiber. Nothing seems to work. Has anyone else experienced a change in metabolism with menopause? If so, I would certainly appreciate knowing what if any supplements you may have found that help you digest protein and sugars.

GNC filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy June 24. GNC has struggled financially for years. Is now $900M in debt. Yet paid its CEO a $2M bonus but thousands employees lose jobs. GNC is closing about 1200 stores (about 25%). In 2018, Harbin Pharmaceutical Group Holding Co., a company controlled by the Chinese government, agreed to acquire an approximately 40% stake in GNC. Does anyone get a meal kit delivered that you would recommend? I’m really interested but there are now so many options out there it’s hard to weed through them all! Ideally it would be something reasonably priced that has good nutrition options and meals that can be portioned down easily for post op. Thanks!

Ok so this question is very early in my weight loss journey but I can’t find anything online. I’m 2 weeks out from my bypass and things are going well. I hope to be on mushy food next week. Excited! My question is for when I’m eating solids. I have a few trips coming up (hopefully) that will be in 2021. One of these ya a guys golf trip where I know multiple nights at a steakhouse will be involved. I want to stay on target but also not overly obvious I’m eating tiny portions. I hope you get what I mean. What’s the best items to order at nice steakhouses? Obviously I’m not ordering a giant steak. Leftovers won’t be happening. Thanks in advance!

Hello! I would love to hear what different folks are "eating" at 4-5 weeks out? I have realized that all Dr's advise differently, and would love to find out what folks are doing, or what they did, if they can remember.. It seems all my local friends have blocked this whole stage out! lol. Thank you so much for your help!

Anyone try Jarros Gentle Fibers? Two tablespoons is 9g of fiber! And it's soluble and insoluble fiber...not like Metamucil and the others that shouldn't be an everyday thing. But adding it to a bottle of water is NASTY. Gritty and weird. But it's keeping me regular again! Curious to know if anyone has a better way to sneak it in my meals where it doesn't go down so unpleasantly.

I gave these a try tonight and they were actually pretty good. Its sliced mozzarella baked til its golden, then you roll whatever you want in it. I used shredded chicken, and some seasoned black beans and corn. I was only able to finish like 2 if them lol, but that's because it's been really hot and I haven't eaten much.

Hey Y’all, I’m 11 days post op and in the full liquids phase and started slowly incorporating purée/soft foods which I’m doing well with. I had Refried beans last night which I thinned with broth and melted a tiny bit of cheddar cheese into them. Yum! I’ve been adding unflavored protein powder to creamy soups—not the best taste, but So far, so good! For a few days, I’ve been stalking “the world according to eggface” blog and I am craving one those smoothies! Is that something I can try this Week or do smoothies need to be in full food stage because they do have berries and veggies and such.

So I have been... not doing well. Since the surgery my eating habits haven’t been the greatest. I tried hard to get things under control but I always ended up going back to food. I have a feeling my surgeon gave me a larger pouch than most ppl. He told me something about not wanting me to be like my brother who became underweight from 350 pounds. Anyways. The past two months I have had insatiable hunger. No matter what I ate about 20 minutes later I felt PHYSICALLY hungry. I’m not an emotional eater so I know the difference between that and hunger. Real hunger. I’ve been trying to make it stop. All this eating was making me so bloated and gassy and worst of all I even…

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm 2+ yrs PO sleeve My brain sometimes gets into the mode where I "must" eat and I cannot stop. Yesterday I ate like 7 bowls of cereal!!! I typically dont even like cereal but for some reason I just couldn't put down my spoon. While I'm eating I know I'll regret it later but I just can't stop. I'm suffering the consequences of this like crazy. My tummy is going crazy and I'm gaining weight. I dont remember doing this pre op. I just dont understand where this is coming from. I didn't calculate but I'm pretty sure I hit over 3,000 cals yesterday.

Anyone out there with a Greek yogurt recipe that doesn't contain fruits? I am extremely picky and rely on certain foods for my proteins. I usually blend frozen fruits with plain greek yogurt, but lately the fruits give me sugar spikes and makes me hungry. I hate the taste/ texture of yogurt. So I need a low carb replacement for my frozen fruits.

It is so very important too drink plenty of water along with your protein shakes . It's essentially healthy for us after post op. You wouldn't want too go through feeling dehydration. It you need too journal your in take then do what is important to you. That my experience. Thank you for your time[emoji3]

Hi! I’m 9 months post-op the loop ds. I lost a bit (ok, a lot) of control over my eating habits and it’s time to rejoin the band wagon! So here I am trying to refigure out which foods I can eat that are both healthy and won’t upset my stomach. I’ve had IBS prior to surgery and the malabsorption has complicated things so I’ve been eating whatever didn’t make me feel sick. Those foods are not exactly the right foods to eat, but I couldn’t handle being in the bathroom all day especially in school. (I’m 18. Had the surgery done when I was 17. Don’t freak out.. ?) with the Covina virus, and living in NYC, I’m Learning remotely now and have more time to focus on what I eat. I …
