hi alex, when i try to sign in, many times i'm unsuccessful - it takes many, attempts with the mouse pointer to allow me to sign on. sometimes i even close out the computer, open up again, and it then works. can you help me. thanx likasulema (kathy)

There are a lot of people posting about their upcoming surgery dates and it's hard to keep up. Would it be possible to make a calender function that everyone has access to? That way we can look and see whose dates are coming up or surgiversaries and offer them encouraging posts/messages and congratulations. Let me know what you think!

Everytime I post a reply, it gets mixed in with an earlier post????????????????you can't even read it, it is so mixed up...

When I click on someone's picture, I do not have an option to friend anyone. I can only see threads they've started, posts they've made and one other thing that I cannot remember. Someone said there should be other buttons so I can follow people. Is it because I'm using this through an app on my iPad? Please help.

When I look at my list of friends - everyone has a green box by their pic and there is a number inside. What does that number mean? Thanks

Hello my name is Katie I had the RNY 3 years ago and am still not down to my goal yet! I have lost all my motivation! In fact my husband and I have been working on having baby #2 and have had to take fertility drugs and with that have gained back 15#'s!! Someone please help me get back on track I need a support system where I live there are no groups to go to or anything like that its stressful I just wanta keep losing.

I visit the forums a lot and always click on the VIEW NEW CONTENT link, read the threads then use the MARK AS READ link at the bottom. For the last several days the MARK AS READ appears to NOT work. At the next visit when I use the VIEW NEW CONTENT I DO get the new content, along with all the other messages - about 8 pages worth going back for 24 hours or more, even though I just visited an hour ago. I have tried it on 2 PCs and one Android tablet - same results, same logon of Rootman. Something busted?

I wanted to edit one of my posts where I posted my story. I tried to enter my story on my own profile by copying and pasting, but it is not showing up. And then, when I try to edit the original post, I get an error message which says that there is a driver error. Can anyone help?

please tell me how to reply to a quoted remark by highliting only the section you want to reply to. i've tried unsuccessfully different ways. thanx kathy

Hey there! LBT used to have a way to search for threads that had no replies. Does that still exist? I can't seem to locate it. If not, can it be added back? I like to find threads to which no response has been given, and see if someone has been overlooked. Have I overlooked something? Thanks!

in order to see other peoples "ticker" , i must be signed "off" then when I want to write anything, respond etc., i must sign on to write, then sign off to read ticker. Please help thanx kathy

Hello! Being slightly computer clumsy, I clicked on the stars button to rate my surgeon (He was a 5 out of 5). Unfortunately, the vote registered a 3 out of 5 instead. How can I change this? I was unable to find a moderator button under the surgeon's page and have been unable to re-enter the vote. Any information to update this would be great! Thanks!

I have had very little experience with forums. Is there anyplace on LBT Forums where I can learn things such as how to create a signature, how to follow a topic, how to delete a portion of my post if I make an error, what's involved in friending someone, what "neutral" means on one's profile, etc.? It would also be nice to have access to a User's Guide that explains all aspects of using LBT Forums. Does something similar exist? Thank you!

I used to log in to this site everday at every free moment I had from my cell phone. I don't like to get on my computer (which I'm on now) because it's more convenient to use my phone. Over the last two weeks (seems like an eternity) I have not been able to log on from my phone. I can access the site, and read the posts, but I can't log in, read messages, or post anything. I try to login and it will alert me of my notifications, and then once I click on them, it takes me to an error screen. I can't even contact help or post to any topics, etc.... Please help!! P.s. Since the new front end to this site has been used I've had a LOT of problems with it. I use Firefox 10.1 to access the site and accross all 4 of the PCs I use I have the same problems - as well as my Android tablet. Firefox refuses to allow the spell check to work - while this mayseem to be a browser issue I sincerely beleive that it's a site issue. I suspect that the text input dialogs are somehow tagged wrong and they come accross as a type of dialog box which will not allow spell check to work, I know this is a common issue with some sites for SUBJECT type dialog boxes, that is the SUBJECT dialog box (like the Topic Title dialog in these posts) does not allow spe…

I signed up a couple of days ago. I'm getting emails that say there are responses to my post. (I had asked about support groups in Clear Lake, TX). When I click the links, I'm taken somewhere else entirely, or when I am taken to my post there is no link to the responses. This is the most confusing site I've ever seen. My first instinct was to just leave, but I thought you need to hear this. I'm not an idiot, but neither do I have an hour or two to figure out a website that may or may not be able to help me. It's easier to must move to the next hit on Google. Sorry.

Tapatalk is an app to make access via mobile devices easier. I use an Android pad and posting is sometimes difficult. The app must be setup on the forum. Tapatalk.com Baring this is the Android app discussed elsewhere even going to come into being?

Is anyone else NOT getting email saying someone posted to a topic they are following? I used to get emails when someone else posted but now I dont. I wish I could fix this and get it working again. Any suggestions?

Was it me? Or was the site down..... I could not log on for the last 2 days or so.

I'm guessing there was a corrupt database issue and we lost a couple day's worth of data. Not doing those transaction log backup, eh? I saw there were several SQL Database errors leading up to the site's demise. That is too bad. I'm a SQL DBA with over 12 years experience if you need any help/advice on dealing with corrupt databases or restoring logs.

I cannot seem to change my profile pic. I downloaded a new one. It shows the new pic on my profile page. I even deleted the old one out of my album. When I post a thread, my old profile pic is still showing. Any suggestions?

I am brand new here. I registered for Lap Band Talk over 4 years ago when that was my surgery of interest. I am now scheduled for a VSG and had difficulty trying to register for this board. I received the error message that my email address is already in use. I was able to log into the Lap Band forum but not this one. So I registered using one of my other email addresses. Also, the forgot password tool didn't work for me. How can I close the Lap Band registration so that I can use that email address for this site? I do not want alerts going to the email address that I used to register this name. Thanks in advance!

I can see above a post where someone has used the like button on a post. How do I see if a post of mine has had someone click on the like button? Hmmmm.... I don't see them. I think the banner ads are customized based on internet searches and things like that. For example, When I was looking at jewelry last year, all of a sudden my banner ads were all from jewelers.

I received a suspicious message from mabar7. The profile had only been created 20 minutes before the message came. The spelling and grammar were horrible. Claims to be a female (although profile says male) from the UK and gave private email address. I received the same message a second time, 3 minutes after the first. I have no intention of responding to an outside email address and if anybody else received this you should probably follow suit.

Hello Whenever I start a new topic or read others topics-well when I scroll down to the bottom of the page to read the rest of the replies the replies are all squished up and unreadable....it looks as if the replies are overlapping so I am unable to finish reading it. Anybody know how to fix this? Thanks!

I typically check new members a few times a week. After I checked this morning 11/22 there are several that their information is bogus including kids and reports of weighing 60 pounds after a 60 pound loss. Surgery dates that are older than the are. I love this forum, however I do not plan to put my self out there for ridicule or for someone to have a laugh on. Why is this not monitored ! I will be leaving this board today for this reason.

I am new on this website and forums and set up a blog just yesterday. Somehow I set it up so I would get notifications on my email when someone commented on my blog. How do I undo this? I would rather keep this personal and not have my husband read it.
