Every time I click on New Content, it says, sorry there is no new content. I know there is. I haven't logged on all day so what is the deal with this? How am I supposed to read the board. I always click on View New Content!

AM I the only one who has tried to respond to a blog comment and cant? I've also experienced writing a blog on VST and when I hit the "publish" button the whole thing frickin disappears. (&%^&%^%%$)(*(&*&^&^^%$%$$#@! (that's me cussin)

I am fairly new to this site, just a couple months. In between this time there was an update , a revision of sorts. As with the latter, I am continuing to have the same issue. This is the first time I have every really entered any type of forum that has held my interest . It is very imformative. Taking in the fact that I am not computer savvy what so ever and I do not understand half of the terms on the help section, ( because they are related to computer usage) I am having issues with figuring out how to best use this site. Ever since the change to the forum software, I'm having trouble with my settings. The first time I came to the site, both my photo and my signature were gone. (When I went in to "edit" my signature, there was nothing there.) I uploaded my photo again, and then magically, my signature reappeared. Today, my photo and signature are gone again. What the heck??

I've seen a few people use a poll in their posts. How do they do this? I wanted to do one myself, but can't figure it out. Thanks!

Where do those reputation points come from? I see who the top point holders are, but I don't get where the points are coming from . What is the reason for this anyway?

So I assume the forum got an upgrade, the new look is cool and pretty fresh looking. One thing I hate is the MARK AS READ choice is now at the very BOTTOM of the screen, kind of unhandy. I for one click the UNREAD button, scroll through and open the posts I want to read in additional tabs and then mark the entire forum read. That keep the message count fresh for the next time I visit.

Does anyone know how or when a new group gets going? I'd love to start connecting with the sleevers that start their journey in January.

I have not been here very long, but the email reminders are not working for me. When I click the link in my email that someone has replied to one of my threads, I get directed to the main forums page and not the specific thread. It has always done that for me so I am now in the habit of clicking the link, then "your profile", then "My Content", and then choosing any threads with updates (manually). Is there a way to turn off the notifications I get when someone adds me to their friends list? I really don't need to get an email, and a notification on the site, when this happens... I've dug around a bit to see if I can turn the notifications off but I haven't figured it out yet. Thanks! ETA: I think I've figured it out

Hi. I've just signed on and I could use some quidance. I'm a Bariatric Physician and I've done over 500 fills through Fill Centers USA. They have closed and I will continue to provide lap band fills to anyone, regardless of where they had their band placed. Is there a way to register as a provider, rather than a patient? I love this site and I am glad it exists and I don't mean to complain but I find it so frustrating that I read a post I am interested in and then I find the thread is from like 2009 or 2008. Isn't there any way to archive old outdated threads and posts? There are entire groups that have no posts at all and some that haven't had posts in years. Is there only one Admin/Moderator?

Hello I have tried several time to edit my patient profile to reflect my new surgery date but when I click on the edit profile icon nothing happens at all it goes no where and does nothing so I guessing there is a bug that needs to be fixed Thank You PJ384

and then when I emailed the admin to say I've never signed up with them and please remove me, I get a bad email address. I don't like these tactics, and I want my membership from that site and the other site that sent me something--a sleeve site. Both are affiliated with LapBandTalk.com. Please advise...I don't like my user name being taken to another site, a membership set up, and then emails thanking me for doing all of that and I never, ever did...it kinda freaks me out.

Why do these annoying ads keep popping up when I post a topic? How do I make it stop?

It's not working for me. I get some weird message about the form not loading correctly. I have to use the add reply for it to work. Just wondering if it's just me.

I used to sign in to a page that would show the most recent posts. Does that not exist anymore? I found it the best way to keep on top of trending topics. Thanks

I am having a problem with my subscribed threads. I am getting the email notifications as per normal but when I click on the link in the email to take me to the thread instead of taking me to MY FIRST UNREAD POST it takes me to the first post in the thread. This is extremely annoying especially when the thread is pages long. It never used to do this. Alex can you please fix it?

I've tried to open chat in Safari and in Firefox and it just takes me to a white screen. Nothing appears to be happening. I've turned off my pop-up blockers in both browsers, so that can't be the issue. I've deleted my Cookies and tried reopening both browsers and nothing. I'm not sure what the problem is. Does the site hate my Macbook? I've never tried to use chat before tonight. Can anyone help? Another odd thing I noticed was that there are no ads for the site in my Safari browser. I didn't even know there were ads until I navigated to the site in Firefox a few minutes ago.

I tried to edit my current weight and change my gender on the Info page. I click on "Save" and nothing happens, and changes are accepted. I was able to change things on the other pages with no problem. I'd really like to change my current weight, and have the correct gender on my profile. Thanks.

I know its kind of silly but this site put asterisks in to censor when I used the term skinny b***h, which most of us know is a great compliment! Anyway I thought it was silly since I am kind of assuming we are all adults...am I wrong?

Hello. Recently I posted a rather long post in Introductions and only the first few lines are showing. The post is called Banded two years now... I need some help please. I tried editing it but that function seemed to be playing up. There was no option to delete next to the edit link so I reposted entire message as a reply (I had copied it fortunately.) However the reply did the same thing... just printing the first few lines. Therefore I wanted the post deleted and I also needed to know how to delete it myself if it happened again when I try to repost it anew. I searched the help section but I had to resort to contacting a moderator (which actually is not easy to find…

About a week ago the view counter on my blog stopped as well as everyone else's as far as I can see. Is it me or are there others who's counters have stopped?

What am I doing wrong that I cannot join a social group? I am clicking into the group I want to join and it won't let me push the "join this group" button at the top.

I created a blog just now but when I go to put an entry in it it lets me type the whole thing into the box then when I hit "publish now" it disappears and says "You must enter a post." What am I doing wrong? I tried in both Chrome and Firefox. I put a title on it. I tried again and said "save as draft." Same thing. The body of the post disappears and it says "you must enter a post". Wassup with that?

So I just signed on to LBT and what do I see big huge Advertisments! I'm really not liking this new lay out I cant find stuff and it feels as if the ads are the focal point of the site. Is it just my computer that looks like this?

Hey guys, Chat has gone down again. I know this is a free site and all but chat provides a great network of support for members here and it being down so much means those members who frequent it are starting to look for other means to keep in touch. The frustration levels with the chat room going down every few days is pretty high. Also cams haven't work in there in ages. They worked for a little bit (a few hours) on Friday night US time but now they're not working again. Is it possible for you to at least let us know what the issue is and why it keeps re-occuring?? Should we be reporting it whenever Chat goes down? I just think if we were kept informed of the issu…

First, I'm not suggesting this to segregate people or pick on "newbies" (I know suggestions like this tend to get taken that way). But in the "good ol' days" thread it has become very apparent that a lot of us who are a ways out from surgery are experiencing things a bit differently than we did newly banded, or just a few years in. Hi Alex, I don't think this is intentional - but I don't know how much this site & LBT are clones. There's link functionality near the RSS icon on LBT that's missing here. I only notice because I adore the "view noew content" feature. Just wanted to bring it to your attention in case it's not by design. LBT: VSG: Those screenies are taken in IE 8.0, but the discrepancy also shows up with Firefox 3.6.

Ok, so for the last 2 days my inbox's been barraged with VST e-mails as apparently the forum subscribes me to every single thread I post in. So if I post in 5 threads, I might get 20+ e-mails saying someone else replied! I went to my settings page and unsubscribed myself from everything, but it still keeps automatically subscribing me! How do I stop it from automatically subscribing me to every thread I post in?

Chat room technical issue??? One night, it said that there were 32 people in the LBT lounge, when I went to chat, no one was there. It happened again last night. Right now... it says there are 70 people using the chat rooms and it has my screen name listed as one of them, only I am not logged into the chat room. I think there may be a technical issue or something....

The new forum loads so super slowly for me. Am I the only one with this problem? The old forum loaded up much faster. The new one is so slow that I hate to even bother with it anymore:(

All my replies to other people's posts are being deleted. Just wondering if it is a technical issue or if I did something?
