Wow...so I get on this morning and everything looks different! Any new features we should know about? Any other changes?

Good Morning Everyone! I am going to be absent for the next week or so while I travel to Tennessee with my man in pursuit of his dream to be The Next food Network Star. I am pleased to announce that LilMissDiva has accepted a moderator role with us and will be on spam guard, keeping the peace (lol, no worries about that here), etc. She is a moderator on our sister site, LBT, and is very well experienced in this role. Not sure what is going on but it seems that every time I go out of the site and go back in I have to relog in.It never used to do this, I used to be able to stay logged in for weeks at a time. It is very annoying, can someone please tell me how to fix it. I have got the remember me box ticked but it makes no difference.

I would love to have a section for truck drivers that have been or are wanting to get banded. With the sedintary nature of the business and the lack of healthy food in truckstops I think it would be great to help each other to find a better way. Plus with the new 2010 regulations going into effect its more important than ever to start working towards better health! because with the new regulations your job may depend on it!!!

Are threads about Dr. Almanza and Dr. Betancourt being deleted on this forum? Truthfully, I've referred countless members here because I believed (note the PAST TENSE) that this forum is a wealth of knowledge and an honest support forum. The credibility of this forum is being compromised because of "back room" politics, and it's a true shame. How can one sleep at night knowing that so many issues have come up yet no one will know because the threads and even the members that started the threads are being deleted and removed from the forum. For every surgeon's name to become a hyperlink for The Almanza/Betancourt outfit? ? ? It would different it was the proper doctor/program, but all them lead to Almanza/Betancourt? ? ? Just wondering, I mean the "band" advertising is one thing, but for several of the other surgeon's names to show up in a thread, and then the name become a hyperlink for more advertising from this program? Are we on a support forum, or a constant, buy from me, used car sales lot? ? ? Edit to add: IS there any possible way to turn that feature off in our USER CUP? I looked, but didn't find anything.

Hi, I was banded a week ago and I am so happy and hopeful. Today I weighed myself for the first time. I had no idea what to expect. I lost 12 &1/2 lbs in a week! I am thrilled. I realize this will undoubtedly be my biggest leap and that's fine. It is a great jump-start. I need help with my ticker.:thumbup: I went to tickerfactory .com and created it but I can't figure out how to get it to this website. Any and all guidance is appreciated. To request a change of your username please log into your user control panel and look for the "Request Username" option all the way at the bottom. Enter your requested username and you'll receive a PM once it's been approved.

When I'm in a thread and have posted or remained in it for a period time reading through, the menu links like "New Posts" or "Forum" at the top are dead and I have to reload the page to get them to go live. Also, is there a reason that New Posts doesn't always reflect all the new posts that have been made? For instance when I post something and then click on New Posts after submitting my reply the thread I have just posted in doesn't come up in the list nor does it show up after a few minutes. Do either of these behaviors happen to anyone else? P.S. I'm currently using Firefox as my browser.

I notice when I use the "New Posts" at the top, there is a 30 minute delay between when someone posts and when it shows up. Is this normal?

I already set the default thread in the subscription mode to "no email notifications" but I am still getting them. How can I stop getting them?

I tried several times off and on today to get into the chat room. It simply goes to the chat room and the box blinks "CONNECTING" constantly. Just thought I'd let someone know.

I forgot that US English puts the month first, and so I wanted to write 27 Jan 2010 for my first interview with the doctor, and then 11 Feb 2010 for the surgery, but I got: First Doctor Visit: 27 Jan 2010 Surgery Date: 2 Nov 2010 However many times I re-edit the profile, I can't seem to change those dates - especially the second one, which is just wrong.

I can't get past Stage One of the Bandster Profile form because I live in Israel, but keep getting asked to submit a US State or Canadian province in order to complete my address. Suggestions, anyone out there? Thanks -

To change your CUSTOM TITLE: Go to the MY ACCOUNT link Located at the top of page. Click on the Edit Profile in the Left menu box under Settings & Options. What is going on with this site? I've been here for YEARS... since before my surgery... Technally, it is lagging like anything. I have to open up notepad, an external typing program, to just WRITE. I can't write anything in the forum now, it lags so bad, 1 letter per 10 seconds bad. It's slow, Jerky, incredibly hard for the computer to load again and again... I am in AUSTRALIA. Why am I being shown all these American adds? There aren't just a few adds... I am counting 29 alone at the moment! I bet these are what is screwing with my use of the site! I started a thread in the lap band talk lounge entitled Global Warming, Hoax or not? (Or something like that.) I meant to close the pole in January, but guess I didn't do that, judging by someone's response. Can I change that, or can I just delete the thread? I feel really stupid!

When I tried logging into the chat room tonight, I keep getting a "database error" message. Is this temporary, has anyone else experienced this problem? Here's a copy of the message I get that pops into the Chat Window. The rest of the page is normal, and shows me logged in. I've tried opening it in a New Tab, and New Window with the same result.

I think it would be great to have a folder on here for a clothing swap or place to sell groups of clothes. Since so many of us frequent this board it would be nice to have a place to post clothes we would like to offer or sell to fellow members that are losing weight at the same time. Could have sub folders for different sizes, 14/16, 18/20, 22/24 etc... L, XL, XXL, etc... and then a folder just for men. Don't think we would need sizes for them but just a folder that says mens. Please, can we figure out a way not to have that new "new Hope bariatric Center" ad in the top right corner of the site. Because it is active it screw up how the page and posts look and it uses so much bandwith that even my high speed modem can't make the site move more quickly. I understand the need for ads to keep the site going, but this one really disturbs the beauty of how well this site generally works. I used to look at unanswered posts when I had the free time and try and answer some of them. My thought was that if someone took the time to ask a question - they should get at least one answer. Anyway with the addition of forums for intros, and doctors, I can not longer do a quick search to get this answered posts. I can't believe that I am the only one who has this problem.
