A few days ago I started a thread called, "Just for fun, describe yourself to me" in the lap band talk lounge. I got an email saying that Jack had responded to the thread, but it only said "test".

When I went to the actual thread the last entry was mine.

What happened?

It could be that Jack made a test post to your thread (possibly by accident) and then deleted his post. Since you have your account set up with email notifications, you would have gotten the notice that he had posted.
