Login issues - Clearing Web Browser Cache and Cookies

We've recently received quite a few complaints from LBT members about login issues. We've made some modifications to the forums and request that you follow these directions if you're having login issues:

PC:

Firefox:

1.) While Firefox is open, go to the "Tools" menu and select "Options".

2.) Go to the "Privacy" tab and select the "Clear Now..." button under "Private Data".

3.) Check the boxes "Cache" and "Cookies" than press the button "Clear Private Data Now". Uncheck any other boxes such as "Browsing History".

Internet Explorer:

1.) While Internet Explorer is open, go to the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options".

2.) In the "General" tab under "Browsing History" select the "Delete..." button.

3.) Select the buttons "Delete Files..." and "Delete Cookies..."

Macintosh:

Hi: I have followed the instructions. I have e mailed a few times that I am having difficulty in my e mail. When I get an e mail notification of a response to my post, I click on the link and I am opened to that post, however, when I want to post another answer I receive an automatic answer to log on.

I have checked the box "remember me" and it doesn't. What do I have to do to have the website allow me to answer a post that I have entered from the email link? Doddie

Just want to post that I followed instructions and my problems seem to be corrected. the website is remembering me. Hope the email link works. Will soon seem. Doddie

This issue happened to me for a while and what I did to fix it is:

I logged in to the site and checked the remember me box.

Then logged off of the website, then went to clear my cache and browsing history.

Then when I logged back on, i haven't had any issues whatsoever.

I repeat these steps any time I need to clear my cache now just incase it is going to happen again.

Hope this helps.

Hi Thanks your instructions are exactly correct. I managed to find a link that told me what to do and it worked. Thanks for responding. Doddie

Is there a reason the chat isn't working for me today? Any other time it does - By the way I clear the cookies and history everytime I get off the computer so that shouldn't be the issue
