  5. bchgurl4u: I recommend that you find your "WHY" "WHY" do you want to lose weight? Is that "WHY" worth it to you to not turn to food when you're bored, sad, happy, etc? Also known as = Not hungry. Is that "WHY" worth it to you to choose to exercise each and every day? Weight loss with the band in my opinion is a huge mental game. If you can find your "WHY" - then maybe you'll be able to find weight loss? Just an idea.

  8. Just a quick post to tell you all that losing weight and maintaining at goal weight is POSSIBLE with the band. I lost approximately 115 lbs in 14 months. I have now maintained my weight loss and am at my goal weight for over two years now. It's A LOT of work. It's not easy. But totally worth it! You can do it too.
  9. YES! It is hard. There is no "done" But all that work is WORTH IT

  15. Hello my fellow October 2009 bandsters! How is everyone doing at their 3rd year anniversary of their band? Please share
  16. Thanks everyone! I love my band!
  17. Just a quick update. I've been banded for 3 years now. I lost about 120 lbs in about 14 months. I've maintained my weight loss now for 22 months. Success with the Lap-Band is totally possible with a lot of hard work!
  18. I'm bumping this thread. I'm in Sonoma county. Anyone else?
  19. Ditto what Carolina said. I drink approx 100-112 oz day. Makes a huge difference in how I feel.
  20. Obviously, I can't count. I'm 19 months into maintenance. ha ha

  23. Jazzercise! Jazzercise! Jazzercise! I love Jazzercise. Check out this blog post that shows how much Jazzercise has changed my body shape, even though I am still the same weight on the scale. Let's talk about my back fat: http://lapbandgalsjourney.blogspot.com/2012/08/lets-talk-about-my-back-fat.html
  24. I can honestly say that it's taken me up until about a month ago (14 months into maintenance) to really understand my smaller size. I can now look at clothes on a rack that are size M or L and hold it up and say to my self, "that's too big" So I guess it's taken over two years for my head to "catch up" with my body.
