Banded dec 22/11. I lost 70 lbs not at my goal wt. I have only 3.5 in my band and have sever at time reflux. I would like more restriction but really WTs is eating around band. I went back to those empty cals in sodas. Before you say it I knw! The reflux is and was there with or without sodas. I cannt eat late and vomit some times All this said I am still very happy with my band.

Pure protein has a drink Ina can 35 gm protein. 1 gm sugar 170 cals low carb. At trader joes. Or online. 199 a can. So the Cosco protein drinks of equal Val's still better price. Nice to know another low sugar high protein drink is available

I drink half a premier protein shake then the other half after. Water with work out and that's 30 gma of protein

I take biotin every day with my multi vit. And have not had this problem at all. ?

I do love my band! I was asked this question yesterday by my daughter and said the samething yesterday after she heard me burping and then running to bathroom. Yes it has some side effects but I'm down 70 lbs since dec 2011 I feel better look better and I'm off bp and coloestrol Meds. I still have reflux at night but did I say I look good. Ha

No back pain but I choke and throat burn terrible it happens in middle of night. I tried everything raised head of bed , nexium increase, all the over counter Meds that use to work but don't now then I tried this with tums it works for me

Dawn I was same way but try to sugar free vanilla ice coffee at McDonald's it's very good and 120 cals one last me several hrs sipping and has all caffeine I need for a day

I drink coffee now after band since I gave up sodas. I did give up caffeine for a little over a month and noticed that my band gets a little tighter when I drink coffee if I don't make sure to cont to drink my water.

Could be gas pain but left rib area is also gall bladder pain area check with your dr and try taking gas x strips with pain to see if it stops pain. I had gas pains on left but not so high

I have lost 60 lbs and eat very now fat diet still have increased cholesterol some people are below bmi and still have bad levels.

Have had sever reflux at night and now I chew 2 acidophilus and 2 Tum it has helped a lot. nexium didn't help. I still every once in while still wake up with it but not much.

My DR recommend always getting fills by Dr I have invested to much money to have a leak in band. And I have heard lots of people on here say they have pain a missed fills by Pa Thanks for the phone number and info!
