I am trying to get into the New Jersey Forums but it says I need a password ! Why and where do I get it?

I can't see to break my posts into paragraphs. When I try to use the enter key, or even just click lower than where I'm typing it just pops right back to the very next available space. For example when I made my list of 10 things I am looking forward to I had to just make a jumbled paragraph. How can I fix this?

I'm curious why it is that responding to posts results in automatic following of said posts, but responding to blog posts does not. Many times I have responded to people's blog posts and not even realized they then posted a response to my response. Yes, I am aware it's just a matter of clicking the "Follow" button in the corner, but I'm wondering why following isn't the default as it is with regular thread posts. Will this be changed with the merger?

I would just love it if when you clicked on someone's profile picture, it would enlarge and be able to be zoomed. Sometimes people post their before and after pics as the profile pic.

Why does every member profile read "_________ has not entered any information about themselves yet," no matter how much info the person has entered?

I can't seem to figure out how to follow my own blog posts. I've clicked the "Follow" button at the top of the posts, but they don't stay followed. It would make sense that as the original poster I would automatically be signed up to follow them, but this doesn't seem to be the case, as I'm having to click "Follow" for each post individually and multiple times to receive notification about activity on them. Is there something very obvious that I'm missing? Or is this a common glitch? Thank you!

Hi! I am post op but still want to use the surgery countdown ticker to keep track of exactly how far I am out from surgery. Can we have a new/better ticker option for this since we can't use outside tickers? The surgery countdown ticker isn't working properly...it's saying I'm 2 months and 90 days from surgery. Not quite right LOL Thank you!

I am new to the forum but as I look over new and old posts, I often see people post companies that offer either free or inexpensive samples vitamins. I think it would be nice to have a place where they are all listed. Suzy

I have an idea and I'm not sure whether its been suggested but it would be great if when you click to reply to threads the option of entering your weight pre, post and total loss could be entered instead of having to type it or could it be tabs or predefined fields to enter in. I find this is what people type the most in threads. Then of course you could leverage off this to add exercise and foods???

I was wondering why it wont let me post a picture in my profile? I went to my account info to edit my profile and when I click on the browse I pick out a picture but it wont upload it!!! Help Please! Thank you!

It would be nice if a FAQ thread could be highlighted in RED and listed at the top of the FORUM page that is alway viewable. This might reduce daily multiple repeated questions and help new and old members search common questions and topics.

How do you get rid of someone in Private Chat that won't leave you alone and keeps asking for money? I reported it to Alex. But He keeps popping up on private chat it's annoying. ~~~Stephanie

I don't want to see any posts made by a certain user or threads started by this user either. Is there an "ignore user" function here? If so how do I do it?

I've tried at least two different computers today, so I'm sure its not that. I have gotten to the login screen where you enter your screen name, entered my information, and then it takes me to a blank page. Has anyone else experienced this today?

Hello everyone. I am trying to add my surgeons name or soon to be surgeons name and I go to the edit profile and type in my dr.s name and hit save changes and it says setting saved but then the surgeons name never shows up in the profile or patient profile. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? thanks

So I am not going to lie I find the idea that women are not allowed to post in the man's room and vice versa a bit silly. We are all grown adults and considering the forum's aren't private I am not sure why the restriction on the cross posting, but whatever. So what if there was a unisex forum where if people want men's and women's opinions you can get them! Or just lift the restriction Just my two cents!

When uploading a picture from my iPad 3 camera tonight I got a file permission error every time. I tried 10 x with same error message said to notify the site's admin about it).

I'm in Australia and I weigh in kilograms. I have to convert my weight in order to use the VST ticker. I'd love to have one that showed kilograms, or even better would be one that somehow showed both, without being cluttered. There is a very large non-US community on VST.

Hi! I'm trying to figure out how to add and update pictures in the "before and after" section of my profile. Any help would be appreciated. I have no recollection of adding the before picture (but I must have) and would like to crop it, and no clue how to add the "after" picture. Help!! Thank you! Cecilia

I would love to have the option to pay a monthly or yearly subscription to get an ad-free version of the site. I absolutely will never click on ads so you're not getting any ad revenue from me anyway, and it really slows down the site and hurts user experience. I understand that you need to make money, but I think you might find that you actually make more money this way. Also, as feedback on the ads, I quite often see diet ads here! That doesn't really seem appropriate at all. Especially dodgy fad ones.

Many of us came online tonight to find many changes. especially in the chat room. I'm new to the group and when i created my account i wasn't able to finish my profile so i signed out. I went back in and clicked on "sign-in" at the top of the page but nothing happens so I downloaded the app on my phone however I don't see a way to view or edit your profile using the app. Does anyone have any tips? Hi all. Is anyone else finding that the iOS app chews through data and battery like crazy? For instance I have been on it on my iPad for a couple hours this morning and it has gone from 100% to 75%. When I'm not using the app, I would get several more hours of usage before seeing 75%. The iPad 3's battery is huge. Also when I was in the hospital I was checking in a lot on my phone. There was no wifi so I was on 3G. I burned through over 250 MB in two days. Usually it is unusual to use more than 500 mb in a whole month. I have the data to use and have not generated overages, but it makes me try to avoid using the app as much when I'm not on wifi. I could just use the…

What's going on with the updates? They are sporadic at best these days.. It seems to be hit or miss if someone replies to a thread I'm participating in to get an notification about it. This is happening to others not just me.

I cant get my picture to turn right-side-up. Help!

I have a forum suggestion on some forums I'm a member of, you can see a preview of the threads first post under each topic title before opening a post. If that makes sense. I was hoping we can get something like that here.. some you hover over the title name and a preview box will pop up.. in others it's already there. OR maybe there is a setting I can change so that I can see this? THIS way we dont have to click on every thread to see if it is something we are interested in reading or not. like a thread titled "uhoh" is pretty cryptic. I have to click it to know what it's about. If I had a preview, I'd be so happy. thanks

Fellow lapbanders I discovered a problem I want to share with you. I did a google search on my former username and was shocked that google returned my entire history of activity on this site, including my profile and picture, every post I have ever viewed or commented on! I have since changed my username and deleted my picture because I commonly use my old username for a lot of other things and people know me by it. I was under the impression this was a private site! I have contact lapbandtalk about this issue but wanted others to be aware and also ask th at you join me to notify the site owners of this privacy issue

i received a private message from this person asking if she could send me 12zillion pounds from the uk. ok...maybe i am exaggerating...it was 12 million. she has cancer...she has two children...and she wants me to hold the money for them.....so she is among for my bank details so she can send me money....wow i would never post negative about a member on here...ever but she not a real member.....i really don't think anyone would fall for this story but who knows if pain meds or stress of what we are going thru could lead us to a poor decision....some of us have big hearts here.... i reported them btw

I found one person who has done this and she can't figure out how she did it. It is very frustrating as I have gone to my profile, I see the outlines where my before and afters should go... i click edit profile, and that disappears. I know how to put pictures in a gallery but i don't know how to put a before and after as part of my gallery. It can't be that hard but it sure isn't obvious to me!

I've been reading through the help topics (which werent really helpful at all) about editing your profile. It says there is a UserCP, and I am assuming that is where I click on My Settings when I hover over my pic at the top of the page. I do use those side tabs to enter information, but notice that a lot of the info I have entered, doesn't show up! For example, my surgery information says that I have not entered anything yet, but it shows my dates, weight, surgeon, etc.... It also says I can change the color of my profile page. WHAAAA???
