@@Alex Brecher I had an experience on another "support" area. Seems someone wanted to blame me for problems from the surgery, etc. and basically said I should shut up and get over it. I've seen it even worse on Obesity Help. Never have I seen that attitude on here. Thank you for allowing us to speak openly and honestly about our experiences, good and bad. I appreciate the support - everyone - and being able to support back. Good doctors need to feel that they'll get the kudos that they deserve and people take note of problems (and I have a great set now) so this is a better experience for everyone. when i push the @message line the name comes up on my post but......it doesn't come up correctly frequently the persons name isn't in a different color therefore you can't push the line successfully to send a message or when i write the @@Kindle it doesn't always come up in color either in other words - people do not always know if they have a message i hope i said this right, and you understand @proudgrammy woo hoo it didn't work, so you can see what i mean i didn't use the mention i put the @with my name thanx for your help kathy

I made an ebook purchase on this site, but when I tried to click the download button, there was no active link (i.e., nothing happened). I used the "contact us" page to try to get it resolved, but haven't had an answer yet. I used to work tech support for a website, so I know how busy it can get... but dangit! I want to read my book! Help! Suddenly I can't post repies, start threads, or reach out via the "contact us" page. This reply probably won't go through either, but just in case... Here's the error message. Hi Alex, Randy here. Can the section Topics with No Reply be increased in size in the next BariatricPal update? I see that some questions asked by newbies and others never get answered. I know for myself I wait to say anything because a subject matter expert is best. But there are times when that question gets dropped off the radar. This way If we see something that's been on the board a while it has a good chance to be answered by someone. The change could bring more people into the forums and prevent any negative feeling. Thanks for looking into this and a big thanks for what you're doing for us. Randy

When I have notifications, I click on the notification badge (in the upper right corner, it displays as a number showing how many notifications I have), I get nothing. Well, I get a little empty blank white space, see the screen capture below with the arrow pointing to where the notifications would usually be. I have tried viewing notifications on two different computers (Windows Home 7 premium and Windows 7 pro) using both Firefox and Chrome and get the same results each time. My messages and everything else work just fine.

What's up with my avatar randomly changing one or more times a day? This has been happening over the last week. Sometimes it's actually my profile picture, but right now it's some strange woman wearing glasses. It's been 5 different things that I know of, including cartoon characters. WTF?

I've have seen a lot of members add different things to the bottom of their ticker, quotes, websites, progress recaps, etc and am wondering how this is done. I must me missing something.

I have the app on my phone and the version I have works okay except you can't see signatures and profiles and I really feel like I miss out. It is also slower for me to type on my phone. I post from the browser on my kindle - so I can see siggies and profiles etc. but it is becoming a nightmare. If I start a post, I can't see what I am typing. i have to post something and then reply to it, so then I can see what I am typing. I can't seem to edit a post when I do the post preview thing. I have searched bariatric pal and have found no main forum for those of us considering bariatric procedures that are endolumenal. I am researching things like Endobarrier, Obalon, and ways of changing gut flora as means of weight loss. I would be sooooo excited to hear from the australians, europeans that are now doing these things and also hear from the folks on the endobarrier trials to see how they are doing. What say? Alex I belong to a private 5:2 group, this group shows up in the participated but not in the subscribed, not really true it flashes up but then disappears! Also can you confirm that this group is still private as a couple of us were wondering. The old app used to indicate when a new response had been added to any discussion I had joined the new one doesn't seem to do so or do I have to set something up. I don't mean send me an email but just an indication when I log on. I was trying to hold off on updating but was forced to tonight and so sad I updated I had to force close it every time I launched it. All it does is freeze my phone I'm just gonna use the web version. Any news on a new update to fix this?

Good afternoon. I am submitting a suggestion for a subforum. I would love to see a category for sales, discount codes and clearance discounts for bariatric related products. I am very frugal and I bet I am not the only one who would love to know when a discount or sale is available on items we may need pre and post op (ie: vitamins, supplements, protein powders, etc). The supplements and other items related to bariatric surgery can get expensive quickly and sharing information to save some money would benefit many forum participants. Hi Alex still having a problem getting into the gastric sleeve social group forum when I go to the over 55 one it asks for my password I am logged in and redid my password like you told me to do yesterday my password works for logging into bariatric pal but not for the over 55 site didn't have any problem before I changed over to the new version

The other day I rec'd a pop-up saying someone wanted to chat. When I clicked on it, I got a message stating my "web app Extension is not configured & to contact admin to configure through cometchat administration panel." Huh????? I sent an email to Bariatricpal for help, no response yet. Meanwhile, if I sign in, EVERY TIME I go to a new page, I get FOUR CONSECUTIVE POPUPS reminding me I have chat messages. I seem to be able to access some information easily (basic profile stuff, threads etc.) through Bariatric Pal but then when i click on More- my surgery story and to change settings (which I have yet to do successfully) it seems to open another app or something. I just found a box that shows notifications, messages etc but it doesn't seem connected to my bariatric pal homepage. I'm not very technical so this may be a silly question but are there two apps? Is there a way to have all my info accessible through the phone app? I've never used whatever is offered through the web. I recently updated my app on my phone, but now I'm having issues responding to threads and it will not let me even make a new thread. Is there any way to hopefully figure this out? Sorry if this has been asked before. I use the mobile app and I can't reply to a personal conversation. It acts like it's submitted but it freezes up and doesn't send. I end up starting a new conversation in order to reply. What's up with that? Am I doing something wrong? I haven't tried it on the desktop. I use BPal on my phone 95% of the time.

I think it would be helpful if this were broken out into two forums, one for the already-athletic (those who run half-marathons and are at their goal, for instance) and those who are just starting out. It's a bit intimidating for me, a newbie with a long way to go (plus knee problems) to read what the "pros" are doing. Just a thought.
