I tried the search function for advice on posting images, and all I got was one post that is 10 years old, or will be in two months. Reading through it, it seems things have changed somewhat. Every time I try to use the image button, I get a box with a question mark in it, or a notice that tells me I'm not allowed to do that. I can attach images, but that doesn't always work the way I would like it to work. I get a result, but not the one I am after. So is there anyone out there with an idea as to how this actually is supposed to work? It appears to be different than any other forum I have ever been on, and I've been on lots.

Hello, Why is African American Sleevers a thread instead of a Special Interest group? Can the thread be moved into a subforum there? There are a lot of topics pertaining specifically to black people, and I think we need a subforum for it as well.

I already have a ticker in my signature and would like to add: HW - 368 SW - 332 CW - See ticker GW - 175 But when I go to save it it errors and says I can have 0 URLs in my signature. Other than the ticker I'm not adding a URL. I'm pretty sure I've seen other sigs with both tickers and text lines... how do I do it?

I just lost the ability to post in one of my threads. I thought maybe I was banned for a minute! I am posting here to make a note of the issue, and partly to see if I can still post.

I just joined and I would like to fill in all the missing info from the profile. Nothing works for me.

I can't seem to figure out how to edit my profile - both my profile page and the left-sidebar information (weight changes, etc). When I go to my profile page, it shows everything (which, actually, I would like to edit a bit), but when I click "edit my profile" it just takes me to general settings and I can't change anything. It's a bit frustrating. I'd prefer not to have to sign up again under a different name, so I really hope it's something easy that I just can't seem to find.

I have had few replies and comments in certain threads, and unless I go to my Content, in my Profile, I would not know that I had updates. Again, like not long ago, there is nothing in my Junk/Spam folder, and there is nothing in my IP provider's web mail, either. Please advise. Thank you. PS. the last email notification I received was at "no-reply@BariatricPal.com", at 9 am my time, and nothing since ....

I have logged into this website at first on my laptop and just used to connect through fb link. Now when I use my iphone app I cannot get logged in bc I don't have a user name/password. I tried to register using my info but it says that my email is already in use as is my name. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

All of the sudden I've stopped receiving email notifications regarding new posts to posts I'm following....anyone else having this issue?...... Actually I'm not receiving email notifications for anything...

There is something wrong with the notification box since yesterday. I can see I have x notifications but when I click on it, there is only this circle spinning around like it's loading something but it doesn't. The site also seems slower than usual.

I copied a photo from another site and would very much like to post it in BP, but don't know how to get a url as demanded by the box that opens when I click the little 'image' icon that appears at the top of a post entry box. Right now I have the photo in my downloads and in Windows Live Photo Gallery. Someone please spell out instructions in simple terms. Thanks, darlings.

I'm having trouble editing my profile and keep getting an error message on a number of different pages. I'm getting these two error messages: "Bad Gateway" and "nginx". I've tried using both Google Chrome and Firefox and the same thing happens. I've also cleared my cache and tried for several days now. Any idea what's going on? Anyone else having this problem? Hi Alex, I'm wondering if there is anything that can be done for someone in a case such as mine who has had two bariatric procedures done? I had my lap band in May 2013 and still was ~150 lbs lighter when I had my revision-to-gastric sleeve done 2 weeks ago on August 24th... it seems like I'm only able to merge the info together which either makes it look like I had the gastric sleeve done in 2013 OR that I lost 160+ lbs in 2 weeks while it's pretty funny it also makes my history appear very misleading. Thank you!

I hope you can see this. My Windows10 upgraded yesterday and now Bariatric Pal site is a mess. I've lost the formatting.

I can see the little red number above the notifications symbol but when I click on it the symbol pops up and simply spins, never listing the notifications. Not sure if something needs to be reset or if there's something else I can do on my end. Thanks

I love love love that I can "ignore" people, but it sure would be nice if, like Facebook, when we ignored them, they would also be blocked from seeing us! I am POSITIVE this change would stop a lot of the nonsense that goes on here. @@Alex Brecher ?

Hey Alex or whoever this needs to be directed to....Is it possible for us to have a "like" button on status updates as well as status update comments?.............I thought about also asking for "don't like" buttons but figured that would be shot down..hehehe. Hi there, just updated my weight in my profile but there is something off. It now looks like there is a weight loss of 31 kg since May which is of course not correct. I provided a different starting date (when I had my first surgery in 2001) but this doesn't seem to show?

I saw notifications that someone liked one of my posts in a certain thread. When clicking on the note I'm directed to the thread but not to the post that was liked? Is there a possibility to find out which of the several posts it was that someone liked?

Never mind. I just this morning saw the delete image check box which I was not seeing last night.

Due to the behavior of some members over the last few days, we are implementing a new policy. From now on, registered members will have 120 minutes to edit their posts and VIP members will have 720 minutes. Hope everyone has an awesome holiday weekend!

How do you turn off a thread if you no longer want to be part of that discussion?

I stumbled upon the "'Ignore' Preferences" page and saw among the headings "Messenger" and "Chats." I know and use the former, but can't guess at "Chats." Please explain. Might I have partaken unaware?

Just wondering why I would be locked out of a thread? The thread Before and After Gastric Sleeve Photos is one I believe I have posted in previously (it shows on my participated list) and I went to open it and it says I don't have permission to view that topic. It also now shows a little grey padlock in the bottom corner under the thread title.

I cannot get my notifications to load, either on my iPhone (through both Safari and the bariatric pal app), or on my desktop computer (running google chrome). I know that I have them, because when I log onto my desktop it shows the small red number on my notifications. Then, when I click on it, no matter which device/which method I use, I get the spinning arrow of death for 10 minutes until I give up. It's been like this for two days. I'm at a loss as to why it would be doing this on the app, my iPhone safari, AND my desktop computer google chrome. Is there any way that I can suspend responses to go directly to my email address? I am getting roughly 25 responses per day on topics.

Is the new iPhone app out yet? Do I need to uninstall and reinstall when it's released? Can I get it from the link at the bottom of this site? Eager for the conversation reply fix.

Maybe it's just me, maybe not. But this new app is so slow on my phone. It's a fairly new phone, (iPhone 6s plus), my internet connection is fine and I have deleted and reloaded the app and it's still slow when I try to load a page on a topic or when I try to reply.
