I had thyroid cancer 10 yrs. ago.I have been cancer free since 2004:) Most people without a thyroid experience you gain weight faster and harder to lose weight!!! When i had a thyroid i had np losing weight, and as the yrs go by, im feeling more insecure about my body. I have been to 3 bariatric seminars within the last 3 yrs. i wasnt sure if i should go through having surgery to lose weight, felt like i was just going with whats easier.Well, the more i researched the "sleeve", i started to realize this doesnt seem easy to me after all lol A few mths ago was my 3 rd seminar and i actually thought maybe this will help me get started at losing weight, and then i can work hard at the rest of it by keeping it off! I want to wear shorts again, smaller shirts, smaller everything, and i want to swim in a bathing suit, but most of all, i want to be healthy inside and out so i can be in my sons life for many more yrs. to come. He is 14 and is my world:) i am healthy, but want to be healthier and be confident in my outside shell again! My surgeon told me i am in the smaller patient bracket, so i decided this on my own, but like i mentioned before, i want to do this surgery to be more confident in my outside appearance. So..... Here i am, my surgery is april 22nd:) im not sure why my pic is upsidedown??? I tried fixing it lol
