This morning Bariatric Pal received a strange post from a first time poster. The poster after leaving a message that didn't make any sense requested members to contact them using private message. The thread appeared to originate from Russia. It appeared to be a type of honey trap enticing members to communicate by PM where they might fall prey to a spam attack. These attacks seem to be targeting a number of different types of message boards at the moment. My app for the iPhone keeps crashing whenever I try to look at notifications. Not sure why. Something going on? It worked at first with the new app but now for the past couple of days it just crashes.

Curious to what my body fat % actually is. The Dexa scan I did at body spec is supposed to be the most accurate. It’s saying I’m at 27.7% then I excercised and ate healthy/light for a few days and did another scale that’s supposed to be pretty good Then I took a picture of myself and looked up charts on the internet. On the top of the forum it says I have 5320 reward points, but when I go to the store in the lefthand corner next to rewards it says I have 0 points. And when I click on account, the rewards section just spins and never loads. I also have never been able to see when I checkout where I would enter to use my rewards points. I'm not quite ready to place an order, but will soon and would like to use them....

I would like to post on some more private topics in the guys room but the females cannot seem to keep out of it and enjoy butting in, even on posts specifically labeled as male only. PLEASE lock down the gender specific rooms and posts by gender! As we have a gender option on our profiles this should be fairly easy to do and would probably encourage more participation.

When I joined these forums back in 2008 I was seeking lap-band surgery. I'm not anymore. How can I remove the "LAP-BAND Patients" category under my picture? I feel like I've searched everywhere for this setting.

I would like to see a section for people who have less than 75 pounds to lose. We could be called "lite weights" or something simular. We have less to lose and lose slower than others so we could compare to others with the samer amounts to lose. We may lose so slow that we cause others to wonder if it is worth it. What do you think?

Maybe I'm just not seeing it, but there should really be a wishlist for the BP store so every time we log in to buy stuff we don't have to keep searching for it, especially when the items we want are out of stock. It would be nice to add our favorite items to a list and just be able to go to that list and pick out the things we want for a particular order instead of scrolling through past orders or trying to find it again. Like a "favorites" button or something like Amazon's wishlist.

Is there a possibility of adding a Forum for revisions like VSG to MGB, since there are so many people getting revisions done??

Alex or anyone else on the BP team ... can you please look into what has happened to the user's account @Orchids&Dragons? She has tried to log in and gets the message she is banned. That makes no sense, as she is an extremely positive and helpful member.

I keep getting notifications when I post that my email address is invalid. It isn't - I've had this email address for like a decade and have used it since I signed up. It tells me to put in a new one, so I put in the same one since it's the only one I have and reenter my password... but then it takes me back to put in an email address again. Not sure what to do?

My phone has stopped displaying notifications when people directly respond to my post or tag me. The only notifications I'm currently getting are when someone likes my comment. I used to get all notifications and haven't changed any of my settings. Is it from an update? Is there a way I can fix this? (I am on an android)

It's still valid. And still in use, and I'm getting email notifications from BP. So why am I being prompted to enter my password. When I attempt to add my surgeon, it fails...I'm guessing because he's not in the BP provider directory. How can he be added? This is what happens when I try...turns red then disappears.

Just a heads up that my app (android) is currently not working. On all boards, it displays the message "No results".

What should I enter into the start date field for my surgery countdown ticker? I'm wanting to use my ticker in reverse... to show how much time has past since my surgery. In my case, it's been 4 months, 2 weeks, and 3 days. If I enter my surgery date for both fields (start date / surgery date), the ticker won't work and I get a message saying so. Not knowing what date to enter, I put my birthday, which is why I have a gap of twenty thousand or so days from the beginning of my ticker to my surgery date. I hope I explained myself well enough and, hopefully, my question makes sense.

Is there a way--or, if there isn't a way, would the site admins consider please maybe implementing a way--to set it so that a user can change a setting on an individual thread and never ever see it again? I don't mean "notifications off." I mean, even if people keep posting to it, it doesn't show up in the list of threads in the forum where it was posted or, ideally, in the trending boxes, either. So according to the VET forum you can only post if you are 18 months post surgery. However when you are 9 years post surgery but awaiting a revision you can't post. This seems silly. Yes I'm a novice when it comes to RNY but I still have plenty of other useful advice . Maybe someone needs to look at changing this
