If you are using the desktop client through a browser, and not the app, follow these steps:

  1. click on your username in the upper right corner
  2. select "My Settings"
  3. click on "Notification Options" on the left-hand side of the screen
  4. Under "Topics & Posts" uncheck the Email checkbox for "Notification method to use for replies to followed topics"

Not sure how to do it through the app. Someone else will have to help you there.
