Anyone smoke weed before or after surgery?
Anorexia is not a joke, should not be joked about, and it is disappointing to see the founder of this website "liking" that kind of joke. Words have power. Hey Sarah, look around research and continue to share your thoughts and feelings. While I am sorry if I hurt your feelings, when you get to know me better you'll discover that I am tongue in cheek on EVERY subject. I have no doubt that I'll hurt 'em again, but never with malice. I am glad you are here. And thanks Cubbies for the good point.

Looks as if this is an unfamiliar one. I found their webpage, but could not find any info on bariatric surgery: http://www.partnershiphp.org/

Anyone smoke weed before or after surgery?
Three years old. Oh Man, I got stoned and I missed it... Having grown up in the sixties, let me remind you that "Dope will get you through times of no money better than money will get you times of no dope". That said, I have been "down to seeds and stems again" for a long time... I reformed. I never repented.

Waiting is the hardest part....
Learn all you can about what life will be like "post sleeve" and ... stopp smoking, eliminate carbonated drinks, get water in, and convert your food intake to proteins and veggies first. Use this time to practice and (from the other side) time will have flown by.

Scale says one thing, clothes say another
Well you look super and seem to be doing well, so believe the clothes! If I eat ANY sugar, it sets me up... so I don't!

The Real Deal
I woke up tired. Walked within a couple hours. Had no pain, just discomfort that the hospital drugs took care of. no nausea. Took me a while to pee, but no real issues. Sure I'd do it again. Remember it's ONLY a help. YOU still have to change your relationship to food.

Dizzy
consider having your PCP write a pissygram letter (you can draft it). I did and it worked. Something like... "Whatareyou somekindanut??? Of course I was in communication with this dear wonderful and Fully Compliant patient!"

How do you start a life change?
I am not as wise as the yoga teacher (who seems to be channeling Kierkegaard's 'leap of faith'.) Me, I follow Lewis Carrol, where Alice learms: "Start at the beginning. Go to the end. And then stop."
