I am bothered by everyone leaving or taking a break... or getting their feelings hurt. I am bothered that people are getting upset at "newbies" for trying to help others with the rules. Like "newbies" are dumb just because they haven't had the band for 18 mths or more??? A LOT of the people that are offering advice are offering what they have been told by their Dr.... Just what is bothering me these days... So sad that people are taking everything so hard. I really try not to. Just my 2 cents!!!

First, I apologize to Donali for deleting my posts on the Ortiz thread. I used to have a bad habit of deleting posts, which drove people buggy, but I did it again and deleted myself from the now-famous Ortiz thread. Also, I promised never again to participate in an "LBT war," which is the direction that thread was going. I have to learn to keep certain opinions in the proper place. I'm still a work in progress, I am not perfect. To me, that thread is nothing but an infomercial with inaccurate information posted only to placate the masses and gain business. But is it really my duty to point out the truth when I see dishonesty? According to too many people my tru…

My husband sent this to me today from work and I just had to share, especially after the chocolate thread. :faint: Enjoy..... I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me and we all could use more calm in our lives. By following the simple advice I heard on a Dr. Phil show, I have finally found inner peace. Dr. Phil proclaimed that the way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started. So I looked around my house to see things I started and hadn't finished; and, before leaving the house this morning I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Zinfandel, a bottle of Baileys, a bottle of Kahlua, a package of Oreos…

BTW, I know none of the above are recommended foods for bandsters, but it seems like lately I've completely forgotten what it means to be banded. Anyone else preparing for Lent?

If you don't have anything better to do, cast a vote for my dog - Mr. Hobbs. I made a mistake entering a contest - submitted the photo thinking it wouldn't get included until next month, but they added it today, with only one day left to get votes. I don't normally post things like this, but I have a big gap to fill in just one day. You can vote at: http://www.1800petmeds.com/petcontest/vote/25416201346023.021513938

Ok, I am SUPER glad that Drew won. I was his fan since the first time I saw him dance. But, is it me or was it just WRONG that Stacy was third and Jerry Rice got second? I mean come on, how many times did Stacy and her partner get perfect scores and the best Jerry did was like a 27. And what was up with only giving Drew and Cheryl a 27 on their final dance?? Something is weird about the voting..... Drew and Cheryl Rock!!!:clap2: Loved that show! Next up, my favorite..... The Apprentice!!!

This is one of the things I got for my birthday. Something I did for myself. Because I've had so many different health issues, I felt that I needed something really strong for healing. I'm on several prayer lists, (thanks everyone!) and even though I'm a Pagan, I welcome the prayers from all my friends who are soemthing else, and the well wishes from those that are athiests. All are equally powerful, and all are equally welcome. This is located at my third chakra, solarplexes but on my back. The blue is the color of love, the healing color, red for the physical healing I need, yellow for rational thought and because it is the color for the chakra. So anyway, I de…

For those of us who believe in a Higher Power, God, Jesus Budah whomever, try this. Print this prayer on business cards and stick them here there and everywhere. In the car, in your wallet, in the bathroom or on the fridg. My good friend who was banded on 11/1/2005 gave it to me. Dear God, I surrender my body and my weight loss to your divine care and love. I ask that you remove all excess unnecessary weight from my body. Return mybody to it’s most healthy and balanced state. Give me eating habits that support my health and life energy, and finally, teach me to love my body and to care for it from this day forth. Amen I know it when I read it I stop... I might…

  15. O.K. so she leaves us. This makes us bored. We have to buy more of her products to take up the time that we used to spend on here. The product short circuits from all of the excessive use (It really didn't, just sounds like part of her devious plan). Anyway, check in to see if she's back. Only see a couple of lines, but see her signature that says slumber parties...which reminds us to order more. Stay away from the site a little longer to enjoy our products. See, it's a vicious cycle. Muhahahahahaha. So, when my last product came in, my husband says, "You ordered a new toy and you didn't tell me about it?" I said " I was going to tell you about it, when the time was rig…

Her daughter, Karen 21, my neice, slipped in the shower and was found by a waiting freind (they go to college together) that said she was in the shower too long. After calling 911 they tried to resuscitate her for over an hour with no luck. My niece who I just saw 2 weeks ago at a wedding, sat right next to me at the dinner. She knew about my band and we spoke often about WLS. I told her about Sue and her DS surgery as well. Karen was about 280lbs and maybe 5’2. When the doctor enters the examination room, he tells the old man, "I need a urine sample, a stool sample and a sperm sample." The old man, being hard of hearing, looks at his wife and yells: "WHAT?" "What did he say? What's he want?" His wife yells back, "He needs your underwear."

My 10 year old is in 4th grade. He goes to a prep school - although he is just an average kid, he is among those that are very gifted. So, its project time! He chose Social Studies - Economics, and his topic was, "Crude Oil". For those of you who have kids old enough, you know this is a parent/child project. :tired Well, Marcus came home three times during the week worried, because ~ "Mom, the other kids said that I have a stupid title." We kept reassuring him that its the judges that make that decision - not his peers! This was his main concern. Guess what? He won 3rd place in all the 4th and 5th grade classes combined. WOO HOO!

Most of you know I am in the process of getting divorced. We are still living in the same house and will be for the next 3 weeks until I finish up my job and move to Sydney. Well today things hit a bit of a snag. Initially when I said I wanted to leave I told hubby I would like $3.60 (amounts have been changed to protect the innocent), but would settle for $3.00 and he agreed. Then when it looked like things were really going to end (I always knew they were but I dont know if hubby did) he secretly went to see a lawyer, and reneged on our agreement, he came back with an offer of $1.80, moving costs and health insurance for a year. This way, no matter what is going on in your life, you will always have something positive to look forward too. And the bonus is that it would be from someone who completely understands what you are going through! Another bonus is to get to know eachother better! There is no obligation or anything crazy. So my question is... can I pounce yet? Anyone do it and want to admit it? Are/Were you happy with it? About what did you pay for it? Any side effects?

I don't have any fun stories to share. I've always told my husband that if certain things got stuck in certain places...I would just die with them in there, because when you go to the ER to have stuff removed...it's all over the hospital within the hour-screw confidentiality. Bob almost got stuck one time, but I was able to grab on to the cord and retrieve him. He didn't seem to mind. Me and DH stayed in this fancy hotel one time. After a session of playing, "So this is your first visit to the gynecologist." and me innocently saying Uh, huh. Well, we couldn't find the remote. It showed up the next day, but we joked that everytime I took a step, the channel would…

Id like to also say that there have been other doctors that have only read the boards (not just lapbandtalk) and chose not to post because of what they have seen happen to others. So the next time a doctor comes on here and tries to off…

We were introduced to the pros & cons, esp. the pests, but had limited time to find out what it's really like. I guess you would say that this is a YeeeeeeHaw! kind of day. Joy went to work and slipped into the doctor's office next door for her weekly weigh in (two weeks post first fill). I had thought of telling her that she should set 275 as a first goal/mini-goal. Well, that got shot to heck in a handbasket. She's already down to 271!!!! WOOOHOOOOOOOO!!! :Banane44:That's a total of 30 lbs gone for good! :youcandothis:You gotta love it!
