Look people - I know most of you live in the northern states (Kelly, Alexandra, Pat, Vines - to name a few) and you are used to this cold stuff. Yesterday the high for this area was 47, the low was 31. BRRRRRRRRR. Here in south SOUTH extreme SOUTH Louisiana, this is considered C O L D. Today its cloudy, high expected to be 50 (wow, heat wave). Is just too cold for this crazy coon ass to even get out of the house for some Christmas shopping!! How do you people up there handle this cold stuff????????

Okay...so this evening I had a sorta kinda date...... Quick background...I was with the same guy for seven years and we parted ways two years ago. So it's been ~9 years since I had to "think" about dating. I'm a little...shall we say....rusty. Needless to say, I was INCREDIBLY nervous. I also had a sh*tty day at work...I mean a REALLY stressed out sh*tty day. So I was a bit spun up by the time the evening rolled around. So......since we were meeting for drinks, I wanted to be sure I ate something because since being banded, it takes only a little drink to make me VERY drunk. But having food in the belly helps. I had a Protein bar around 4 but we met at 6. So …

My husband was a major ASS over the 4 day holiday. I think he won Ass of the Year this time. But he made up for it I was raised by my best friend's enormous traditional hispanic family that included me in their gift exchange and reprimanded me when their own daughter got made me do bad stuff. Jill and her hubby come to Vegas quite often, but I've missed my annual Tamale-Making-Christmas party. Chris and Danny are tight, too, plus all Jill's kid are like my own, and her 5 siblings are like my own, and the offspring of all these kids thing I rock. Nobody knows we're coming - it's a huge suprise. Chris surprised me with tickets to San Antonio next week. We even…

When I left for work this am it was 5 degrees out. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I know it has been down to below 0 before but I DON'T LIKE IT!!!( I live in the White Mountains of AZ.) Speaking of cold, do you feel the cold more now that you are losing weight? I was always called the "ice woman" by my family because I was NEVER cold. Now I am cold all the time!!! I NEVER wear shoes when I am home. no shoes or socks or slippers. I have even been known to shovel snow in bare feet before ( i know, stupid) I think I am losing my insulation! Before I moved into my new house I use to live in a 100+ house with terrible insulation. My dogs Water use to freeze overnight (in my room) No…

I guess everyone has seen pennys post about the erosion and having to have the band removed. She said to follow the rules and take care of your band. Exactly what causes this and now what can she do after healing. Can she have another band? What are the causes of the erosion? I have attended a seminar in Texarkana, TX and have filled out my client info. I am waiting to hear from the doctors there about an appt. for a consult. This is kind of disheartening and scary.

Hey guys. I haven't been around too much lately...and I just wanted to stop in and tell you all that Im thinking of you all. Life has gotten so busy. I am still in the process of moving out of my apartment. My mothers house is a wreck and shes pulling her hair out. But we all have a new life to adjust to here~ That job that I thought I had a few weeks ago never panned out. They told me that they were having problems with their phone lines and they would call me with a start date, and well, they never called. So I called them, and the lady that was to be my "boss" never called me back~ Sooooo that translated to me that they were trying out another girl and if she sucked th…

Ok as I sat at the computer and intently stared at the Ticketmaster screen waiting for 10am when the tickets went on sale, the excitement begin to swell and over flow. The 10am ticked on the computer clock and I hit refresh on the home page for ticketmaster. I entered the number of tickets and where I wanted to sit. Hit send. Waited while the computer scanned the seats to see if they were available and all the while I was praying to get good seats. VOILA!! I got tickets I got tickets!!!! HOORAY!! I am so thrilled. April 5, 2006 at 8pm in Staples Center, here in Los Angeles. HERE WE COME!!!

One day, in line at the company cafeteria, Joe says to Mike behind him, "My elbow hurts like hell. I guess I'd better see a doctor." "Listen, you don't have to spend that kind of money," Mike replies. "There's a diagnostic computer down at Wal-Mart. Just give it a urine sample and the computer will tell you what's wrong and what to do about it. It takes ten seconds and costs ten dollars . . . A lot cheaper than a doctor." So, Joe deposits a urine sample in a small jar and takes it to Wal-Mart. He deposits ten dollars, and the computer lights up and asks for the urine sample. He pours the sample into the slot and waits. Ten seconds later, the computer ejects a …

Two months ago I went to a highly recommended psychic, who told me I would own my own business. She kept talking about a boutique of sorts. Now I own Slumber Parties. She also told me my husband had a bad back, and that it would get much worse. She also told me I was a paralegal. All 100% accurate. She also told me I would lose my band. She pointed to my throat and asked what was wrong, and she talked about a bad scar and surgery complications. She told me to initiate a class action malpractice suit. Get this. I never opened my mouth till she was done. I have it on tape. I just kept a poker face the whole time. I was referred by a 3rd party who knows nothing about me,…

I take my sister out to lunch each year and she does the same for me in feb. I took her to Baker's Square today as that is where she wanted to go. I order a kids lunch, chicken tenders and mashed potatos, water and no dessert. I order my little one a kids meal and my sister orders a sandwich, I feel bad that the order is so "cheap" and order an appitizer for my little one and sister to share. When the bill comes to the table I pick it up and look it over, she brought the wrong check the first time around. There was a "misc. food charge" $2.00. When I asked what that was she said it was a service charge for an adult ordering off the kids menu, even though I had to show my …

I feel like my body has gotten totally out of shape, so I got my doctor's permission to join a fitness club and start exercising. I decided to take an aerobics class for seniors. I bent, twisted, gyrated, jumped up and down, and perspired for an hour. But, by the time I got my leotards on, the class was over. ---I'm getting into swing dancing. Not on purpose. Some parts of my body are just prone to swinging. --It's scary when you start making the same noises as your coffeemaker. --- An elderly woman decided to prepare her will and told her preacher she had two final requests. First, she wanted to be cremated, and second, she wanted her ashes scattered over Wal-Mart. "W…

OK just got home from seeing Dennis at Dr. Billy's office. He removed all my fill with the exception of .5cc that always remains in the tubing. SO I am empty now. Nope no fill for me. Then they sent me to have an upper GI. I was shocked they wanted me to have it done today. I was equally shocked I was worked in so fast. ANyway I drank that horrible stuff and rolled and tossed on the table while the doc looked at my innards. He showed me the pictures and he said it all looks fine. It doesn't appear I have either a slip or erosion but then again he wasn't my band doc. So Billy gets back in town on Monday and he will review my results and if I need the endo stil…

A stranger sent this to me, I thought it was too sweet not to share: THE RAINBOW BRIDGE There is a bridge connecting heaven and earth. Its called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colours. Just this side of the bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet passes on, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again and those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day long with each other. There is only one thing missing. They're not with their special someone who loved them on Earth. Each day they run and play until the day…

I just wanted to offer my commission work to anyone interested in gifting their loved ones with a one of a kind Poetry Art piece written just for them - inspired by your feelings. I get paid to create these one-of-a-kind pieces for people all the time to be given as treasured keepsakes and gifts to mark such occassions as a wedding, an anniversary, a memorial, a retirement, a birth of a child, a poem for your sister, brother, mother, father, grandparent, etc. My business is located mainly in the Ohio area but I do have pieces in Galleries in Indiana. I have been published for many years and have done many charity exhibit events where I exhibit my work. My commiss…

Our misery started around noon Sunday. First rain, then freezing rain, then sleet, then more freezing rain, then sleet, then wet heavy snow and blizzard conditions. Temps in the teens and no heat or electricity till late last night. Several tree limbs down, electric wire to garage down, tail light of my PT Cruiser busted out, but we weathered the storm just fine. Some advice to people east of the this nasty, evil storm. Stock up on batteries, flashlights, food you can eat out of the can or box, have an emergency plan, alternative heat source, (other than electric or natural gas), water, money, etc. BE PREPARED for the worst! I grew up in Michigan and lived through some NA…

I just had one of the best workouts of my life today. During the black Friday sale, I picked up a Dance Dance Revolution game for our Playstation at Best Buy. It's the videogame where you have a dance pad and you follow the arrows with your feet. I have always thought it looked like fun. If any of you have Playstations and like to dance, I suggest that you go out and buy this. It's a ton of fun. I finally stopped playing after about 1 1/2 hours (only because I no longer had energy to move my legs!) It also has a workout mode where you can track your workouts and it tells you how many calories you are burning, etc. It's kinda hard to explain, but here is a descripti…

Help, if anyone gets their hands on an extra Xbox 360, please let me know. My Grandson's mom thought I had put it on a preorder, and I thought she did, guess what we neither did. That's all he asked for for Christmas so, if you get one I'll gladly pay shipping and what ever you feel is a fair markup. Thanks

Those of you who have followed my Erin stories will (un)appreciate this one! Today we're having a traditional potluck (we'll talk about my to-die for cranberry walnut stuffing later.) Erin just announced to the firm that it's time to eat. It's only 10:15 in the morning and she's heating up dinner for the whole firm! I told her it's way too early, but she's telling everyone that we're getting off at noon, which is NOT true. Our firm always lets us go an hour early (I've been here 5 years, things don't change.) So she's convincing people to eat by saying we're closing soon. AARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Hi guys. My friend is considering gastric bypass surgery. She has had a hard time getting pregnant and she has been told by her fertility doctor that losing weight could really help. She won't consider the band because her insurance won't cover it. Her husband had a bypass last year. I'm just wondering... I went to a gastric bypass orientation and we were all told that we would "have to get an abortion if we ever got pregnant after the RNY". I had never heard of this before. Obviously I ended up getting the band so I never asked the surgeon about it. Has anyone else ever heard this? Does anyone know women who have gotten pregnant after RNY? If so, did the…

Okay, as part of the deal for me to go to school, my DH and son kept the cleaners so I wouldn't have a major freak-out everytime I came home from school. The cleaners come every two weeks, so my house stays in relatively good shape. I'm quite happy with the service we use, and I'll give you their name if you PM me. Today was cleaners day. Some how it always manages to work out that they come the week I'm home, but that's how it goes. Now the weirdness. I went to turn on one of the living-room lights tonight and I noticed an odd lump on one of my chime boxes. Much to my surprise it was a dead bird! The cleaners carefully dusted and wiped down the little dead bir…

Never before in my life have I had cholesterol below 200. Then I read about Milk Thistle and its effects on the liver. Seems to show healing effects on the liver. I decided to try it since I have some high "liver levels" due to tylenol usage. Well, my liver levels are in the normal range and my cholesterol is 188. That is after two weeks on milk thistle (250mg 3 times a day). I am not a doctor, just wanted to share my experience. Anyone else tried this?

My DH and I want to go all out with our outdoor Christmas decoarations this year. Nothing too extravagent (national lampoons christmas) but something tasteful, respecting to the real meaning, plus unique! UNfortunately there is no contest, we just like to decorate for the holidays. We have plenty of lights, a light up santa, light up candy canes, a small nativity set, a light up snowman and a few other odds and ends. Please give me some good ideas! I've been thinking a lot about what plastic surgeries I'll be needing once I lose weight. I know we won't know for sure until we're down and see all the hanging skin (ew!) but I was wondering what everyone else is thinking. I know I'll need a tummy tuck and the fat/skin on my upper arms removed (not sure what that procedure is called). In reality, I'll probably "need" the lower body lift, but just the thought of that makes me cringe. And the scar is so huge, frankly it scares the crapola out of me. I already have a c-section scar, a 6 inch lower back surgery scar, and of course my lapband scars. If I get a new scar around my entire lower body I'll be plaid! I'v…
