Outdoor Christmas Decorating Ideas?

My DH and I want to go all out with our outdoor Christmas decoarations this year. Nothing too extravagent (national lampoons christmas) but something tasteful, respecting to the real meaning, plus unique! UNfortunately there is no contest, we just like to decorate for the holidays. We have plenty of lights, a light up santa, light up candy canes, a small nativity set, a light up snowman and a few other odds and ends. Please give me some good ideas! We plan to decorate next weekend after Thanksgiving!

Stores have the neatest blow up snow globe that actually has it snowing inside, like you shook it up. VERY cute.

I like lights, and lots of them. Some people do each tree/bush a different color, which is pretty or all one color.

How about some snowflakes on the trees. Check out your local dollar store, you'd be amazed at the cool stuff they have.

Errr, we put all of our lights up on Sunday, I made sure I was at home at 5:00 to turn all the timers on at the same time to stay on for 4 hours, all went well on Sunday. Monday, they all came on at 4:00 and then went off 4 hours later, then today, at 8:30 this am, one of the porch sets came on. I'm so aggrivated, I've got 9 timers I've got to fool with now. Could it be the programmer????
