Wow...my husband has gone to bike weekend at the beach and my mom has my son... it's just me and the four legged child. I went out with my sister for dinner and a few drinks. Went shopping for a little bit. Sitting here at the computer now actually being about to type one sentence without getting interrupted. Oh what to do with myself. Just thought I would share that I am having some ME time for the first in a LONG time. Oh maybe 2 years... Don't pick up the boy until tomorrow eveing and hubby comes home sunday late afternoon. Oh I am going to get so much done....

I should've posted this earlier...but here goes. I am headed to Southern Cal for a short vacation with my twin sis, best friend, daughter and daughters baby sitter (leaving the hubby at home). The company I work for has a condo in LaQuinta CA that we'll be staying at next week. We're flying into Ontario, CA tomorrow morning and plan to spend Saturday and Sunday at Disneyland before heading over to the desert. Anyhow, does anybody have a clue if such a thing as discount tickets for Disneyland exist? Their website offers a few dollar discount for park hopper tickets. Wondering if any you wise thrifty bandsters have any ideas.

I just got home from shopping and the temp on the bank said 107 degrees! The humidity is really bad too! We are supposed to get a cold front moving in tonight, I think I am looking forward to a little cooler weather!

I have been raising 29 Americauna chickens since they were 1 day old. They finally started laying eggs last week! Their eggs are all different shades of blue & green! I wish I could figure out how to post pictures, I would show you some of my eggs & my beautiful rooster LeeRoy! LOL!! Sorry everyone! I'm just an excited country girl who had to share! LOL!

I'm so excited! He asked me on Friday but wouldn't let me tell anyone until I got my ring! We picked it out on Sunday and I got it yesterday evening. We've been together for 3 and a half years now, and I've kinda been waiting for him to ask, hehe.

Okay, I keep reading posts where new bandsters ask if anyone cheated in the pre-op diet. I had totally forgotten about this, but it is so funny! I was 1 week in on the sugar free liquid pre-op diet & totally miserable. My husband went & bought a pound of ham for his lunch. I broke down & ate some of it! No bread, just ham. This went on for 2 days. My husband came in one afternoon & decided to make himself a sandwich. A puzzled look came over his face when he pulled the ham out of the fridge. I posted a few weeks ago about trouble with a co-worker, well things got better and now worse again.. But let me give you a little history first... Just has to post last week I ordered from Kelli ( dylansmom) some puddings and cookie mixes from her Watkins web site, and if any of you like Snickerdoodle cookies or old fashioned Tapioca or Rice pudding, you got to order some, they are FANTASTIC and so easy to make. On Thursday Sept 22, Dalton's Lapband Support Group is doing our 1st annual fashion show. They chose 35 people out of our group to be in the show and I was one of them. I will post pictures to let everyone see.

I'm completely anal retentive to the point I often walk in circles crossing my T's and dotting my I's. I can't stand clutter or disorder, and even though I get pretty messy, I don't relax or think straight unless everything is tidy and in order. If my underwear, socks and earrings don't match, it's just a lousy day. I drive my husband and boss nuts because everything has to be "just so" before it goes out. I color coordinate all my case binders. I can't just wash a load of laundry; I have to strip the linens from all rooms. My youngest brother (28 years old) was found dead in his own apartment in New York this evening. We all live in Wisconsin and don't have any details until my other brother gets there tomorrow morning. My family is devasated. My parents are just walking shells of who they once were. This is the longest I've ever stayed away from the board since banding. I guess I've come back now because I need the support that I've received in the past now more than ever. I was trucking along with my little band pregnancy and everything was going great. We even had an ultrasound and saw the heartbeat. That was awesome.
