I finaly went and had my band floro'd and its a 4 cc band and it had almost 4 cc in it so with all the swelling and irratation I was just lucky it did not slip, irrorode or worse happen! I got a complete unfill! And OMG how wonderful to be able to eat again and not be in pain and not throw up!:biggrin2: No puke cups around the house..no hanging my head in public toliets!YUCKY!! In a month I am back on the Lapbandwagon! Thank you to all of you for your kindness and support! It helped allot!:biggrin2:

I am at Step 1 AGAIN!! This is such a journey thru hell, for me at least! I have danced with the devil my whole life and I am weary! I am powerless,my life is unmanageable and I am turning it over to God this very second.

I cannot do this on my own anymore! I am admiting that I have been far from perfect in following the rules to have a successful lap band experience...that is why I am in the shape I am in right now. I was banded in 10/05 and am the same weight today and in horrible health. I have spent more time with my head puking in toilets and garbage cans than I care to say! It strated with my first fill..I only had 2 and never stopped!! My Dr stopped accepting Medicare so I just stopped seeing one...stupied of me I know! I think I have been swollen this entire time becuse I have never been able to eat anything other than mushies without getting sick....and I ate too much of high calore low nutrient choices! I never gave up diet soda,, I am truly addicted. There are soo many poor choices that IIIIIIIIII made! Today I sit here just having had an upper GI done and am soo swollen I could barley drink the contrast! I cannot eat..I can barley drink ..I am sooo thirsty and I am scared. I wish I never had this done!!! But I did and I must get a grip on it because chances are it is not slipped or errored...I pray. I need help and support starting over! This is all my fault and I have to fix it because it is destoying my life!

Hi Guys! I was banded by Dr Grossbard in Pasco County near Tampa back in Oct of 05! I cannot belive it has been that long! I have had nothing but a fight out of my band since it was put in, I will spare you the boreing details but the vast majority of it has been my fault! So I have lost about 35 pounds but I have been sick the whole time, I have not had my band checked in 3 years and am having difficuties that I am statring to become worried about I need to find a Dr here Localy that is a medicare provider being that is all that I have. I look forward to getting to know everyone! I need the support right now Take care Terri:rolleyes2:

I have not taken care of my band in a very long time and need a good Dr here in THIS area that is a medicare provider! I am having some problems and do not trust my GP to look after my band. Any suggestions? Thanks!

It's Scary how long it has been since I have posted, since I have visited, since I have done ANYTHING that would be considered positive in my bads care! I have been wearing the costume of a person who does not have a lap band! So you can just imagine how frightening my eating habits have become! The EERRRIE thing is during this time I have lost a good amount of weight but I fear it is from getting sick soo much. I guess I am Afraid of alot of things but mainly that my band maybe damaged or have slipped and I will have to have it removed which I cannot afford. I have had a love hate relationship with this THING ever since the first day! I want to embrace it and love it like others do but instead most of the time I feel like it is that Creature in Alien that ripps out of that guys stomache! EEEEEEK! I need some no nonsence no smoke and mirrors approach to how Take My Band Back! I do understand that I have Find and Go to a Dr ASAP before anything else! See MAYBE I Do stand a GHOST of a Chance? The scary thing is ...is it is all up to me again. :faint:

I too am tierd of it all and want my band out! I had my band put in in October of last year and it has been a pain in the ass from the momement I came out of surgery! My Dr, was not very interseted in the aftercare part so I have had 4 fills one of which was so toght i got soooo sick I lost 20 pounds in less than 5 days! I have been throwing up since i could go on solids and everyime we did the floro everything was always fine...always loosen the band to where i barley had any restiction. I too got to where out of starvation and frustration learned that the sugary softy foods stayed down. I had only lost 32 pounds total with all this insanity so it did not take me long to put that back on and then some! I just got sick of holding my head over toilets and puucking into cups! And everytime I go to the Dr I am told I a m fine and that i need to be more dedicated!! ARRRRG! I was soo loyal and dedicated to the Lap band way of Life...but something went terribly wrong and no I feel like I have that thing alien in my stomach..and its going to jump out tearing me open like int he movie! As long as he has that Lap Band HA! ANyway I hear you and TOTATLY understand! You take good care and good luck!

Her story sounds like my own and I too am so discouraged I often think about having my band removed. I have been banded over a year now and have lost 21 pounds during the pre surgury Liquid phase. I am following all the rules..lots of water ,exercise, protiene first...chew till gew no drinking while eating..ect ect. I have had 2 fills the first one I was WAY too tight and got deathly sick with..the second one he under filled me to recover from the over fill. My Dr no longer is a medicare provider so I am looking for a new Dr here in Orlando any suggestions welcome with the exception of Dr Beltre in Altamonte. I need help with my band I know I am not too tight because I feel no restriction..can eat alot and am hungry again soon after. I PB all the time and I can barely eat anything without it coming back up..reflux minus the acid..I slime constantly I have to keep a cup with me just for that! You would think all this alone would cause me to lose some weight but it has not! I have turned to high calorie soft foods to take away my hunger and medicate myself. I thought this band was going to help me finaly gain control of my weight problem instead I think things are worse! Sorry did not mean to bum everybody out. I have not posted in a long time and i just needed to vent....Thanks

Thank you Jenifur! I wish you peace during your transistion. Carla was my last friend in this area. I have 2 lifetime friends one in Melborne the other in Indiana we are "The Girls"! I am a homebody and I am going to have to change that to make some new friends...that scares me. But it will all be alright! You take good care! Thanks for the support!

I am going thru the same sittuation right now. This girl was my dearest friend of 15 years or so I had thought. She called me one night as she always did but this time she basicly told me everything she hated about my life and how I was a disabled bipolar fat ass loser! I took that because I thought maybe she was just going thru a bad time and she was just taking it out on me...as usual. That was 2 months ago I started out calling leaving funny messages on her voice mail and the it just hurt too bad to be ignored. I had a fair amount of time on my hands to recall all the times I had truly needed her in the past and she was never there! Whenever she had a man her life it was as though I did not live on the same planet as her. When my Mom died I did not even recieve a card and she knew my Mom very well..that one I cannot forget! She has been my hairdresser all these years and I dread finding and PAYING a new one..ha! God has a way of removing unhealthy people from our lives for all the right reasons. We just have to patient to learn the lessons as they are sent!

The Dr. I have been using suddenly is no longer a Medicare provider..THE MONEY GRUBBIN JERK! Ok I feel better. I need a new Dr. in the Orlando area. Anyone but Dr. Belltre in Altamonte Springs. Has anyone used Dr Kim in Celebration? Any info would be of great help!

Dr Grossbard has left me high and dry as well. He did my Band and might I say..I have had nothing but problems. I was driving from Orlando over to him for my fills and without any notice to his patients he pulls this. I hope and pray you find a really good surgeon who truly care about his patients not just the bottom line!

I get really irritated when people come here from another country...reap our benifits and not only do they make no effort to speak ENGLISH....they expect me to speak Spanish! For example if you are in Miami Fl and get lost and do not speak Spanish...you are going to stay lost a long time! I was here first and I do not want to have to speak Spanish! And what gives you the right? The Italians do not expect me to speak Italian! I have had it up to here with the whole Spanish thing! I also think its rude to carry on group conversations in Korean while performing a personal service on someone such as doing thier nails! Hey Maria Alverez, Chin Lee! WAKE UP!! YOU ARE IN AMERICA.......ACT LIKE IT!!! Okay I feel better!

I have a gambling addiction and it is a hard thing to break! She needs to call 1-800 ADMIT IT. That is the number to Gamblers Anyonmous! If she wont call you call! Get her to a meeting before she looses everything! And STOP enabeling her by giving her money, you might as well give her a loaded gun. She may not have hit rock bottom yet...but she will its just a matter of time. Help her find the supprot she needs. Good luck!
