Help, I can't find any jeans to fit. Obviously, at 5'2, I don't expect to buy a pair off the rack and not have to hem them. I'm at this in between size, 14W is too big, a 14 regular is too tight, (cuts me in the coochie), a regular 16 is too big and too long. I'm thinking if I could find a pair of stretch regular 14's. Any suggestions on where to look. I hate trying on clothes in the store. Friday, I tried on 5 pair of jeans, and none of them fit, talking about pissed. I'm not complaining, but everything is too big, I bet I tried on everything in my closet yesterday trying to find one outfit I could wear. Thank goodness it was a warm day, reached for a pair of capris …

http://www.fsisolutions.com/hanes/default.aspx They are marketing a new line of undies and they are giving away a sample pair. I ordered several, one to me, one to my mom and one to my MIL. They only go up to a large but I will fit that soon enough. There are 3 or 4 styles to choose from and they just ask for a name address and email. Takes 10-12 weeks for delivery but hey they are free who can complain about that? ~Mandy

did I ever think I would get to wear a dress like am going to tommorrow for out 15th anniversary. Size M junior- slinky sheer sausage number! in Magenta!!! It is sort of out of place and season for me- but I am so excited!!!! It is the kind I wish I could have worn to prom (my prom was in the "hoop" days & sothern bell look with the big hair) or our senior ball in college (same dress as high school no hoops- just added lace from my junior prom dress!) Well I will post a photo tommorrow. I still feel really like someone will come over and say you are too fat for that- or are you insane (OK I said that when I just tried it on with the right foundation garments …

Aren't funerals drab and boring? Death is part of life, and no matter how hard it is to face, we all have to face it many times in this short, short time we have here. So why let someone else plan our funeral? Let's document what we want right here, right now. DeLarla's Funeral Party -Eclectic Theme (anything goes in Hippy, 80's dance, 70's bad hair.) -Cremation. Family may want a viewing first, so make sure I get a smile plastered on my face. Lots of pink satin in my coffin. Max's feather in my hand (my deceased Cockatiel.) -Everyone gets a vial on a red, satin string with a pinch of my ashes mixed with fairy dust (put some glitter in a Magic Bullet and ma…

Hey Crystal, How are you doing with your schoolin' and all your "Slow Losers" frustrations these days? (If you even still qualify.) Seems like we haven't heard much about you lately --or perhaps there are just SO MANY THREADS here I missed something. Anyway, I found myself wondering how you are and was going to PM you, but then I thought other people might want to know also--and you always have such wise and consequential things to say-- that I thought I'd just toss in the topic. ALSO... this has probably been asked before, but exactly where does the "Vinesqueen" monicker come from? (Of course the Queen part is obvious.) In other words... thinking of you,

Tonight my friend from high school came to town after not seeing her since the 1980. I expected Wild Child; I got Nancy Regan, with legs crossed. Based on her hot hot teen bod and butt-length teen silken hair, I expected her to be accompanied by Orlando Bloom, but it was more like Ronald Regan/George Bush. She got old and serious, I got goofier. Ronald was very quiet and subdued, even though they rode in from California on his Yamaha. Not much passed through those pursed, tight lips, but he was strangely and overly interested in my Slumber stuff and immediately asked for a catalog, which I always have with me.) After one of those weird dinners with too many long pau…

My sister wanted to play a joke on her friend who is sappy desperate for a girlfriend. I sent him a Fatty Patty Blow Up Doll as a joke. If you don't laugh, you get old. This guy is a complete stranger to me, but he got the package today and sent me this e-mail: "Finally, love!" WOW.....its true love....Thank you very much.....hahaha." If the LBT Police think this one pushes the line, then go ahead and delete it (I swear, I won't get mad.) But I NEEDED a good laugh, and this picture still has me busting up. Who doesn't need a good laugh?

It has been ages since I saw mine....you know exactly what I am talking about!! IT! That thing between your legs..that alot of us had forgotten about until Slumber Parties! Thank ya DeLarla! My question still stands....how long has it been since you saw yours? I cannot find mine without lifting up my belly..and since that really depresses me I have not seen mine in at least a year! For 5 years I had someone who would let me know it was still there..kinda kept it in tune with free parts and labor. I now do all required maintence..by hand! So yes it has been over a year since I last saw IT..do you think it will still know me?

Hey Guys, I've been drinking chamomille tea at night to help me sleep (& keep from nightime eating) & my last box of Celestial Seasonings had a sample of a new tea: Honey vanilla CHamomille--much better than the straight chamomille. I went to Ralphs to get some and also found Bigelow has a tea I've never tried: VANILLA CARAMEL! Wow, is it good. Smells just like caramel--with a slight caramel taste. I don't know how they manage to make these flavors with no calories but I'm a big supporter of food chemistry! Anyway I'm really enjoying booth these finds, so thought I'd share. (Oh, and I put this stuff called "Calm" I got from my chiropractor in my tea at nig…

Hi everyone, In my former life (before kids) I was a credentials coordinator for a large area hospital system. What that means in a nutshell is that I queried various agencies and organizations and obtained references to make sure that the physicians applying to be on the medical staff were competent and well trained. The general public can't make a lot of the queries by themselves, but there are some things you can do to make sure that the lapband doctor, and for that matter any doctor that you choose is well trained. 1. Call the state licensing board for the state you live in. Michigan has a 900 number where you can call and find out if there are any disciplina…

I have been banded since Aug 30th. My weight loss is 21 pds, and I am happy with that. Since my surgery, I have eaten only until I am satisfied, never until I was full. I know before a fill, there is really none or little restriction. Yesterday, I had my first fill 3cc in a 14cc band, now on liquids for one week. Question is how will I know I am restricted, it I only eat until I am satisfied. Thanks Cheri

I'm watching morning news. An anorexic girl is on TV that's a single mother with 4 children and only eats 500 calories a day. She's crying and saying "I may as well have cancer." But at the same time, she runs a pro-anorexic website. Apparently, there are hundreds out there that encourage girls to be anorexic. She gives them tips and training tools. Many sites get 200,000 hits.

Hi - Just had a rebanding last week Thursday and today I am still having pain on my left side. I had the band on for 3 years with awesome success but my memory does not serve me as well. I was wondering how long does the pain last post operative. Its a pulling pain kinda.. like the infamous left side laffing pain. I would love to see as many peeps share their stories with me so I may get a grip lol Thanks

Huy Guys, I am back from Vegas. Got the chance to see Lisa and hang out at the lingerie convention. I met up with a new bandster Sherry and had dinner together. I went to a party at the Voodoo lounge at the Rio for Penthouse Lingerie. There were lots of THIN women wearing skimpy nothingness prancing around on platforms. I met the producers for CSI who were there filming some footage for future episodes. I also went to see Mamma Mia at the Mandalay Bay. Wow, I am tired. Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures of my trip except at the airport where I met my Mom for Breakfast. I missed you all and just wanted to say hi!!!! Babs in TX 334/18-/170

I'm not sure if I ever said this, but I've always said I would go blonde just once in my life. Last month I went totally blonde in front, but left the underside dark brown. I'm having my roots done tonight. I said I'd go blonde once in my life and stay blonde for one year. It took me 42 years to do the whole front blonde. Everyone says they LOVE the new Blonde DeLarla. I personally don't like like it because it makes makes my face look weird (maybe the wrong skin tones?) WHAT SHOULD I DO TONIGHT? 1. Match dark roots to already blonde hair and keep underside dark. 2. Go fully blonde one time only? 3. Change immediately and go darker? 4. Opt of a darker shade …

My favorite local morning radio show did an 'Idol" sort of thing, where the winners formed sort of a pick-up band. The co-host of the show is named Spike, and the name of the band is "Spike and The Impailers." Great name for a band. It, like everthing else, got me thinking. If I were to form a band, what would I call it? hmmmm. My techno band would be called "Crystal and The Reports." (for obvious reasons....) My rock band would be called "Crystal & The Shards"

I am sure it is terribly unfashionable but I am having a existential crisis!! I know I have depression and that can make me contemplate my, rather ample, navel more that is healthy. But at the moment I just dont get it. What is the point of it all?? Why are we here? Is life just all this superficial bulldust they show on tv or something more? And, if it is something more, how do I know which something it is? All I seem to know is what it is not about... Life is not about (in my experience): * pleasure * beauty * family * god * goddess * love * learning * discipline * sex * money * self-awareness * karma * success So what is it? I feel like I am doing …

OK arrived here yesterday. Christina was at the hotel waiting on me. LONG plane trip but what fun. We went looking for beads later that evening and walked and walked and walked. LOADS of fun. Went back to hotel and collapsed. Today, Friday we got on the subway and headed to CHINATOWN. FUN!!!!!!!!!! Too much fun. As we exited the subway station, Christina got POOPED on her head by a NY Pigeon. TOO FUNNY!!!!!! I laughed so hard. So we had to head to Quizno's to the bathroom. ONLY we had to buy something before they would give us the key to the bathroom. SIGH!! So we bought two bottles of Water. LOLOL!!! Anyway, got the bird poopy out and then proceeded to stop at "Bread T…

I went to the amazing International Lingerie Convention, so here's the list of all the companies that carry plus size pretties. I carry lots of plus size items from some of these companies, but I buy with a blindfold on so I never know what I'll get, which is why I'm still hunting for panties. If you do internet searches, please share links. I'm especially interested in plus size thongs. Thanks! And your welcome! NOTE, I won't sell my lingerie unless you try it on first, and since you can't try on clothes over the internet, this isn't a marketing thread. I'm sharing info on plus size women's wear. A.T. I decided to check out my completion and see what's new in lingerie, so I went to the International Lingerie Convention, which was held at the Rio Hotel Casino. People, if this convention ever comes to your town, it's a must see! I can't believe the things I saw! If you guys think what I do is X-rated, you are wrong! My lotions, potions & adult toys are NOTHING compared to what's going on in the sex world these days! I saw isles and isles of things I can't even describe. I should have taken pictures to post on the "What are these" game thread! A whole line of mink handcuffs, mink whips, fur watches, talking sex books, hot guys and girls walking around mostly …

Ok, so I'm getting ready to place an order with DeLarla - but I wanted some opinions on some products. It's the stuff called"X-Scream" and there's another one I can't remember the name but it does the same thing - that's supposed to make your giblets all tingly when applied to the area - has anyone tried it? Does it work? Is there something you prefer better than that? Also had a question about the "Good Head" - does it numb the back of your throat? Anyone tried it? What do you think? And also about the "Like a Virgin" - that's supposed to well make it like a virgin - does it work? Is it it worth it? I only plan on trying one right now so wanted to know whi…

I'm so excited, I've been accepted to one of the local Red Hat chapters, the Magnolia's. A year ago, I wouldn't have considered going to a social, much less joining a group of 50+ year old ladies who like to have fun. Even though I've only lost 49 lbs, (plus the 26 lbs of muscle I've gained), I feel so much more self confident and not ashamed to walk into a crowded room. If I don't lose another pound, I'd still do the band all over again, in a heart beat.

Well, it finally happened, I have my first NSV to post and for me it's a big one: I went to the doctor today for my usual check up. For the first time in over two years my blood pressure was normal 100/70! And that's after I had cut the prescription down from 100mg twice a day to 50mg once a day, that was the cardiologists orders. I can't believe in this short of time, 2 months, that I have had that kind of reaction in my body. Also I went from 30U Humolog(Insulin) three times a day down to 10U three times a day!! I am so encouraged and I just wanted to share this with all of my friends her. Cindy

Our early year blizzard is over. DeLarla, you would have loved this one. Blizzards this time of year are cool because they can be nasty but you know they won't be real cold and will melt. Blizzards in January when the wind chill is 80 below zero and means days without electricity and heat and months before the snow melts are not fun. Alatina, are you out there? I saw Langdon got 15 inches of snow. This must be a treat for a Texan. Hope you are well and stayed warm - do you have electricity and heat yet? Anyone else want to come enjoy a storm - plan for January - those are better. Celeste

This process SUCKS!!! It was hard enough pre-banding to deal with the weight and now that I am almost 18 months out it isn't any easier. I had a weight loss of 70 lbs about a month ago. Now I have gained back 10 of those and only have a 60 lb loss. THAT SUCKS!! I know the things I am doing wrong. I just came back from a dr. appt and we discussed all the things I am going to start doing RIGHT. Dennis, Dr. Billy's RN, spoke with me at length about what I am doing that needs to change. We have all heard this spiel. Count Calories, Drink your Water, Measure your food, Read labels, No more than 25 min eating any meal, NO snacks, etc. Well that all sounds e…

Okay Delarla, here's your wish! Who alive today would you have a roll in the hay with. Rules: 1. no dissing anyone's choice 2. try to pick someone we all have a chance of knowing who they are... (for example, "that really cute boy in my class" would be out...) 3. a person you in all likelihood will never actually have a chance of a roll in the hay with. For me, probably Kurt Russell... I've been in love with him since I was 7 and I saw "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes" wait a minute... could he have been the reason I'm so into computers??? Ye gods! LBT is wonderful therapy! Sure there are others, but Kurt is my top pick... for now.

It's getting to be crunch time for me. I always make my kids costumes for halloween, and I need some ideas for a cool costume for my 9 year old boy. He's "too old" for most of the cartoon characters I've suggested, isn't interested in yu gi oh or pokemon... He hates scary or gory costumes... Thinks being a tube of toothpaste, or a can of pringles is "baby stuff". Last year we made him Luigi from nintendo, it was cute as hell. I made him an awesome wwf costume of the "Hurricane" the year before. He's very undecided this year, and I need to get started. I like to be original, no plastic masks here. My girls tell me that some of their favorite memories are of halloween …

Please help me and my husband out, we're in a quandary and don't know how to proceed. Here's the situation: My younger daughter Catie is extremely tall for her age and precocious in most other ways. She just turned 4 in May and is often mistaken for being her sister's twin (who is 7, in 2nd grade, and tall for HER age). Catie isn't scheduled to start kindergarten until fall of 2006. But she's going to be so physically out of synch with her classmates, and she's already learning to read, so we're considering trying to have her admitted into first grade next year. Being out of step with one's classmates can be challenging for any child. I know, because I was taller and…

I was just curious if anyone had a colonic and what their experience was with it? It would seem that after years of bad eating and finally eating less and more healthy that all that "bad" stuff stuck in the system would be great to get out. I was just wondering if the hype some sites seems to talk about is really there or will it be a disappointment. I read somewhere where one person lost like 40 pounds of stuff after several colonics. I hope I don't have that much stuff backed up but nevertheless I do wonder. So what have been your experiences with colonics? T

I have really just gotten back into exercising and I have a really nice treadmill here at home. What I want to know is how fast is a normal pace? I am pretty big and I also have had heart problems in the past, but I would like to know what the average pace people walk at. I can only do 2 miles an hour and I usually can only go for 20 minutes. I'd appreciate anyone elses experience with this. I often watch fitness shows and read fitness magazines and it looks like a leisurely pace is suppose to be 3.5 miles per hour? Anyone know? Thanks for your help. Cindy

Hey you guys, I just came from the new sci-fi movie "Serenity" and it was GREAT!! It's sci-fi with an old western flavor, which is cool. There has been so little publicity for the film and the theatre was almost empty. I sat there really enjoying the show and feeling sorry for all the people at all the CRUMMY movies out there right now. I suppose it takes a sci-fi fan to truly appreciate it--but I think almost any woman would be taken by the "ship's" captain. (And Omigod, the figure on his black firstmate is to die for!) Serenity is the movie from the little-aired series "Firefly" which I also like. Anyway, just wanted to tell you if you're looking for a show this i…

Hey guys~ Openning weekend was here and now gone at the Haunted House. It was a crazy weekend.
