This happened to me too. I am 3+ years out and I have 2.5cc in my 4cc band. I didnt get my 1st fill for a couple of months after surgery. (figured I must have had a huge stomach and that the band alone gave me great restriction). Best wishes to you!! :thumbup: Patty

What works for me... I usually have a slimfast optima with a scoop of Protein powder for Breakfast. AM Snack, trail mix or granola bar For lunch, usually, stew or chowder or chicken salad..... Afternoon snack, 100 calorie bag of popcorn. dinner protein....Chicken, Steak, Shrimp, anything like that.....and a veggie, I dont eat bread, rice, potatoes, as a rule, do I have them once in a while, yes, but I try to stay away....

PATRIOTS all the way, going to be 19-0!!! Major NSV for me on Sunday....I was asked by my company to work at the Patriots game at Gillette Stadium for 2 hours before the game at an indoor tailgate party, open bar and free food, then I was given 2 tickets to the game and free parking.... I fit in the seat with room to spare....Didnt lose my breath walking up the stairs and I had a great time!!

Thanks everybody. I was really happy with the way the video was put together....There was so much more that didnt make it on, they interviewed me for an hour and the stop was less than 2 minutes long. Thanks for all of your comments. Road King, I had a sportster about 20 years ago....Pete just got the bike in the video on Dec 22, we have already put 1000 miles on it which is pretty good considering we are in Boston and have had alot of snow.....He has a 95 lowrider which I am hoping to take over this spring!!

Lizzy H--When my 1st story appeared on CNN.com, I couldnt believe the amount of people that wrote in to rip me apart for having "taken the easy way out"....They think this is easy? We all made this live saving choice for our own reasons, mine was health!! High blood pressure, borderline diabetes, mitral valve prolapse.....And believe me, it hasnt been easy as we in "band land" all know!!

Post Date: 1/16/08 12:43 pm Hi, I had LapBand surgery 02-28-05. This weekend CNN News will be airing an interview with me if anyone is interested in watching. It will be aired Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Jan 18, 19 and 20. They dont have an exact time, they said it would be between 8 and 9 am. (eastern time) CNN.com did a piece on me a couple of months ago which caught the producer's eye, so they came to my house last week and asked me questions for about an hour. Thank you!! I have 2 daughters with weight problems....The oldest is 23 and has no intention (at this time) to have weight loss surgery. My younger daughter is 13 and really wants the "band"....I talked to my surgeon about he being banded, he was all for it, but her psychologist is against her being banded before age 16...so a little over 2 years....We are working on her dieting, but it is slow going...I was hoping my success would help motivate her, but she kind of resents it now....
