  1. It seems like the tubing would be behind the port, that is what I am hoping anyway. I guess we will find out soon. I know that I don't want a extra fat around my port. He has done gastric bypass patients but no lap band patients.
  2. I am getting a tummy tuck Monday April 14th and my doctor is just now having some concern about doing liposuction around my port area. Has anyone had lipo around their port and a tummy tuck, or either or? Now he has me a little nervous. I am trying to get my lapband doctor to give him a call but I don't know if he will have time before Monday to call him. Any advice is helpful. Thanks, Wendy
  3. I will have to try the liquids for 3 days, thanks for the advice. And yes it is horrible to have the reflux in the middle of the night, I am definently sleep deprived.
  4. I moved to Florida a year ago and I am having trouble finding a doctor that will see me here. No one wants to see someones patient. My doctor is in St. Louis. And I don't have insurance anymore. But I do need to get it checked out, it does feel like something is really off. Not to mention what is happening to my esophogus.
  5. I haven't been able to sleep laying down in several months, it all started when I couldn't stop coughing at night and sleeping sitting up helped cure it. Now it is happening when I sit up, I end up throwing up almost everynight. I usually don't eat after 6, I should be loosing more weight but I'm not, and it really sucks because I am not even at my goal weight after 2 years. I've kept 55 pounds off, but I don't have much restriction and I am afraid to get another fill because of the caughing. Also, alot of reflux, sometimes comes out of my nose as well. I don't get it.
  6. Your regular doc being your lapband doc?
  7. Sounds like you need a little unfill, it definently can cause you to cough at night.
  8. I went to my Lapband Dr. yesterday and he took out .6 cc, I slept all night through last night which felt so good. Anyway, I have multiple stones and my lapband dr. is taking my gallbladder out next friday. I am so sick of being operated on. But the gallstones definently explain why I have been so miserable and so does the unfill. I still have restriction, but it has let up a little. I just want to feel good again. Thanks for all the advice and I think it is obvious that these are all symptoms of the lapband (pnemonia, esophegeal dismotilility, and gallstones) Is it worth it? I am still contiplating that one. I guess I will know more when I see how I feel after the gallbladder removal.
  9. So you didn't get a total unfill but just .5 taken out and it stopped? I have to get a couple more test next week one is on my gallbladder my doctor said that the stone is in the cystalduct going towards the kidney, and that can't be good. I saw a pulmanary doctor yesterday and he said that the Esophegeal Dismotility can cause pnemonia. I hope the mass is just your band. let me know.
  10. Thats sounds horrible, but that is what it feels like.
  11. health1st Personally, I never overeat. It is far to uncomfortable and I have been very careful with that. Now, I did drink alcohol and I know your not really suppose to do that. So that was probably not to smart on my part.
  12. They found my Esophaus dismotility on a Cat Scan of my Thorax, and I think it is when the esophogus is already has refux then it gets stretched and more damaged, this is just a guess. I have my cat scan on disc, if I can get it downloaded, I will try to post it on here. Truthfully, If I had this before I was banded I would not get banded. There could be no good in that. My doctor is wanting to unfill me now and I don't want him to. I took my medicine that was prescribed to me last night called Levsin, and it really made a difference. I slept more then last night then I have in along time. I still threw up at about 5 in the morning but I think that was because I ate so late at night. I hardly coughed at all last night. I went to bed sick even. Yesterday was a really bad day with it. I hope that the more I take this medication the more it will help. then I will just take it when I need it. I haven't lost any weight in over 2 months but I havent gained any either. I will gain if he gives me a unfill. Does anybody know anybody that has had the gastric sleeve?
  13. I will look into the gastric sleeve. I do unfortunently have severe reflux as well. My lapband doctor knew that before he did the lapband surgery on me. He did do a hernia repair on me when he did my lapband which was really cool. There is no way I can live or deal with this, I am not sleeping at night for the past almost three months from coughing so much. I will let everyone know what I find out.
  14. Becky That sounds just like my situation. I have been choking when I eat and that has never happened to me before. I went to my doctor today and he put me on Levsin, have you ever tried that drug before? Also, I read on the internet about a surgery you can get for this situation. I just don't want to have to get my band removed, so if I could get that fixed surgically I definently would. Thanks for responding, also do you mind telling me what kind of medications you tried for that?
  15. Thank You, I just found out today also that I may need to get my gallbladder out as well. I think I was healthier before lapband. Hopefully I will get these things fixed and then I will be fine. Thanks for your prayers.
